Stay clear, bad practices
Tried the trial and it never worked. Deleted my card details off the app and uninstalled. Turns out they save card details even if you delete them so they can charge you whenever they feel like. On top of that they don't send any email notifying you saying they are going to charge your card. Their "support" on their app is non existent. They give automated and copy and pasted responses. I am disgusted with the app. I just requested a refund and was ignored completely.

unstable ping
the ping is not stable sometimes it doesn't fit what it shows to the ping in game. it's almost like a fake ping lol and I hope we can boost multiple game not just one at a time.

So far, my experience with GearUP is great, it does it job in connecting to different connections. However, these past few days, it seems to be not working for Overwatch, I can't connect to SEA server to all the nodes I am using, not really sure why but if I use a free VPN, it works.

All of the amazing reviews are bots, this is a useless piece of trash that will change nothing for your game. in fact, it might even remove random buttons in your game UI and menu. don't touch it with a 10ft pole. they say they "might charge you for validation but will immediately refund/reverse" etc for your free trial, which is completely unheard of for any other legitimate free trials. when activating a free trial, it is also only available on the 1-year plan, which means if you forget to cancel, you'll be charged $50 for the subscription. oh and did i mention that if you try to cancel the subscription after activating your free trial to ensure you will not forget and then be charged, IT WILL TERMINATE YOUR FREE TRIAL AT CANCELLATION, FORCING YOU TO KEEP IT ACTIVE UNTIL THE MINUTE BEFORE THEY CAN CHARGE YOU. if you check the review times, they're all posted within hours of each other. normal services are NOT THAT popular. don't download this.

Beware - they like to scam people
Signed up for a 3-day free trial, but the app created two accounts with the exact same username (and almost identical UID numbers). One showed my trial expired with no option to cancel, so I assumed I was safe. Three days later, the other account was charged almost €50 for a subscription I never used. Customer support is non-existent — only automated replies. On Discord, staff just send the same copy-paste message to push you back into the app (where the only replies are bots). When I pointed this out to others, they muted me for 7 days instead of helping. To make matters worse, you cannot delete your account in-app — you must email them manually, which is against EU consumer protection law. Even worse, I have screenshots of other users who did cancel properly, removed payment details, and still got charged. This is not an accident — it’s a pattern. I’ve escalated my case through PayPal and reported the company for unfair commercial practices and GDPR violations. ⚠️ Warning: Do not trust this company. They exploit users, ignore refunds, and silence complaints.

Customer service is non existent. Can't get a proper reply to any of my questions. It's always an automated response. If you get any issues beyond what are the frequently asked questions, there is literally no help. They will always refer you to a simple answer that doesn't help the problem. Don't expect any refunds or anything similar if there's any issues with the subscription at all. Overall, they market themselves as trustworthy but there's a lot that they don't care at all about the customer. This product is seriously a SCAM. Watch out.

Never locked me to a server closest to…
Never locked me to a server closest to me in COD. Only reduced ping by 2-3 ms. They're currently offering free service for 5 stars, so they're artificially boosting their scores.
Bad app and service
The app was very bad in decreasing ping, rather increasing it. I was previously 0-20 ping and the booster made my ping go to 10-30, along will spikes to 300+ ping which made my experience with the app very bad. They also make it extremely difficult to get a refund and if you buy it, your money is gone and wasted.

Terrible customer support, product doesn't work and they refuse to issue refunds for a product that does nothing. They keep sending you BS links and telling you to do this and beat around the bush to extend their time so they don't have to issue a refund. Good Packet Loss Fix, But Manual Game Selection Is a Dealbreaker
I live in an area where on peak hours my packet loss goes up to 20%, Gearup booster have managed to lower it by 5-10%, One big disadvantage I've seen is manually selecting the game before I open it on a different competitor ( ExitLag ) I'm able to choose a list of games that I want to be auto boosted, so when I open that game it auto boosts for it, lack of this feature in gearup booster is a big disadvantage for me I've had Gearup Booster for the last couple months and I still have it till today

I tried GearUP Booster hoping to improve my online gaming and reduce lag, but the experience on PLDT connection was underwhelming. While the UI is simple and the server list looks promising, the actual performance didn’t live up to the expectations. ✅ Pros: Clean and easy-to-use interface Multiple game servers supported Some minor improvement in ping (depending on the time of day) ❌ Cons: Still slow and unstable on PLDT, especially during peak hours Some servers fail to connect or get stuck on "accelerating" High latency remains in many games like Valorant, MLBB, and Genshin Not worth the price for casual users with unstable ISPs 📌 Verdict: If you're using PLDT in the Philippines, GearUP may not give a big boost in performance. It might work better with a different ISP or at non-peak hours, but don't expect miracles. Try the free trial before considering a subscription.
