I wanted to record my story in a book particularly for my grandchildren, so chose Memowrite. I had already written a number of my stories and I’m glad I had or I would not have finished it in time. I was glad I could change the subject of some chapters, in fact many chapters!
They lost one star with the joining process where they showed add ons one at a time I paid for three months and also an ecopy so that I could share it, I had be told about the electronic copy by a friend so watched for that option to come up.
They lost another star with a formatting problem I wasted a lot of precious time trying to upload some poetry to try and stop it being double spaced, I have worked out why it double spaced the poems but when I tried to tell them they said my subscription had finished, so if anyone else writes poetry and finds it double spaced they won’t be able to help you as they can’t work out what caused the double spacing in the first place, if your reading this as a potential customer and you write poetry I can tell you why it happens but unfortunately it needs to be fixed at their end there is nothing you can do about it.
I also found that if I inserted it before AI did a run through it changed words in some of the poems I had written which ruined the rhyme and the meter.
The last lost star was because their advertising showed photos in different parts of the story but that’s not how it comes out all the photos are together mostly on a page of their own regardless of size at the end of each chapter. Also I have 4 pages in a row that are blank their add said no blank pages! I proof read my book and did see one blank page almost at the end of the book but did not see 4 pages together that were blank, I think the printer messed it up a grabbed some extra paper when binding the book.
I chose a plain cover and am happy with the quality of the actual physical book both the cover and paper.

The price is fair. The site is wonderful to work with. I just start and it's so easy to use. The questions are very pertinent to anyone's life. Spell check is wonderful too and the options to edit are great. It's very easy to go back and forth in righting the chapters throughout your life. You can go back and add info as needed.

My subscription expired because the…..as explained above
My subscription expired because the credit card on your file had been cancelled due to bogus charges. So, when you tried to renew, of course, the card was not accepted. You immediately cancelled my membership, without prior notice to me, instead of advising me to give you an updated card. Now, after 4 emails back and forth, I have to start from scratch with a new order. NOT GOOD!!
