Great to see that the domain has been placed on Client Hold. Transparency and accountability matter in e-commerce, and it’s reassuring when proper action is taken. A positive step toward a safer and more trustworthy online marketplace. Kind regards /Ulf

I want my money back!

If I could give GName.com a 0/5 I would! I was trying from February 13-14, 2026 to submit a Help Ticket on GName.com in order for USD $ 8.58 that I deposited for a failed backorder to be refunded me. I have had no ends of problems in trying to send this Help Ticket. First they wanted me to enable Multifactor Authentication(MFA), which could not be done using the method they described, then they wanted me to provide proof of the deposit that was made via Paypal…which I provided. They then told me that that proof of deposit couldn’t work and I had to submit a Help Ticket then I was told that since I didn’t submit the MFA using their method I would have to enable my phone to be used as a security measure… then they told me this couldn’t be done- they claim due to a time zone difference. Additionally they have archaic methods of requesting that an email be verified with a code that disappears after 60 seconds before transmitting the Help Ticket..no matter what “solution” they derived, the requirements could not be humanly met. I feel that GName.com just wants to create problems so as to prevent their customers from withdrawing their deposits. I’ve spent over 5 hours with this company and they are still unable to refund me my USD $8.58 – (their site is telling me that I have USD $8 deposited with them). I even proffered that they allow me to submit proof of deposit of these funds by email and substitute this for the Help Ticket since their method of submitting it was giving so many problems. Instead of responding to me, they told me now that they have sorted everything out I should provide them with a good review and provided a link on TrustPilot for me to review them. P.S. I just checked my account balance (February 16,2026) and they have moved the $8 from being “available” to being “frozen”. They are now saying that the MFA is now working (it was not as far as the discussions we’ve had) and they say that they have frozen my account for 7 days to keep it protected and they didn’t report my case to their customer service specialist in Singapore (who they claim could have sorted this problem out) and that they will when they come in at 9:30 am Singapore time =13 hours ahead of my time. They also said they can’t give me a response by email but they will open the Chat when they feel like giving me a response… This is incredulous! I’m frustrated, fed-up and angry! As it stands I don’t know what to do to get my money back. Maybe this review will awaken GName.com and their potential customers to be aware of the poor customer service they are giving and for potential customers to know that GName.com will find all methods to hold on to your money for failed backorders. Help!!! I just want my money back!!

Hey, Gillian. We apologise that your experience with us hasn't been ideal. Could you let us know what your ticket number is, please? We'll have a closer look. Thanks very much.

UPDATE: Domain suspended. Thank you for protecting the community

Protecting Scammers. Ignoring Abuse Reports. I reported a phishing site dappvalidationnode.com stealing Private Keys. Provided undeniable photographic evidence (Ticket # GW2026021017444470). Support is ghosting me while thieves are active. UPDATE You stated below that you "need more time". This is unacceptable. Phishing attacks happen in seconds. I have already provided Ticket #GW2026021017444470 with screenshots proving this site explicitly asks users for PRIVATE KEYS. There is nothing to "investigate" – the evidence is absolute. Every hour you wait makes you complicit in potential theft. If the domain is not suspended by tomorrow, I am proceeding with a formal ICANN Registrar Abuse Complaint. UPDATE 2 (Response to Gname's Edit): Thank you for confirming receipt of the evidence. Regarding "ICANN-mandated procedures": Please note that Section 3.18 of the RAA (Registrar Accreditation Agreement) allows registrars to take immediate action against abuse, especially when clear evidence of criminal activity (Private Key theft) is provided. "Procedures" should not take days while users are being targeted. I appreciate the priority status, but I will maintain this review until the domain dappvalidationnode[.]com returns a NXDOMAIN (is offline). I am monitoring it FINAL UPDATE: The domain has been suspended (NXDOMAIN). Thank you Gname for taking action and protecting the community. Case closed. FINAL UPDATE 2 My bad. I didnt change rating. Recent 5 is showing ur real commitment to my case. Thanks once again

Hey there. It looks like you've reported this case in the last couple of days, so this case is very much under investigation. We're going to need some more time. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. EDIT: Hi there. We wanted to let you know that we’ve received your documentations. Because we have to follow specific ICANN-mandated procedures, there are a few required steps in our pipeline we need to clear first. Please know we’re prioritizing this and working urgently to get everything handled properly. EDIT 2: Thanks for confirming! We'd appreciate it if you could change your review's rating to reflect our commitment to the cause. Thanks again!

Facilitating 'Pig Butchering' scams and ignoring verified abuse reports

Gname is currently providing registrar services to a confirmed phishing platform: astbridge.com. I have provided irrefutable evidence, including WhatsApp conversations showing the attacker luring victims to this URL (Case GW20260123...). Despite these reports, Gname has not yet applied a 'clientHold' status to the domain. The attacker is now using a 'DomainAgents' parking page to hide the fraud and evade detection. This lack of action is unacceptable. An official compliance case is open with ICANN (Case 01541...). I urge Gname to stop protecting scammers and fulfill their contractual obligations to maintain a secure internet.

Hey there. We have reviewed the additional evidence you've provided. Based on your report and our internal investigation, we have placed the domain astbridge.com on clientHold status effective immediately. We appreciate your help in maintaining a safer internet. If there is anything else at all, please feel free to DM us on X or through our chat support. Thanks again.

am writing this to alert Gname.com and…

am writing this to alert Gname.com and the public regarding the fraudulent use of domains registered under your platform (IANA ID: 1923). The domains cryplin.top (currently suspended) and wow163.top have been used in a major scam involving the theft of 248,150 BDT (medical funds) from victim MD Tariq Bin Tahir. Although Gname has acknowledged the illegal use of these domains, we are still awaiting full cooperation for the international investigation. This case is officially registered with: Singapore Police: Case #SR/20251125/0200 We expect Gname.com to provide all necessary logs and suspect information to the authorities immediately. Failure to comply with international anti-fraud regulations will lead to further escalation through ICANN and BFIU. We urge Gname to take proactive steps against these scammers using their infrastructure.

Hey there. We understand that you've reported cryplin.top, and we've taken down the site. As of yet, our legal team is still awaiting contact from the Singapore Police Force. Be assured that we will cooperate with the local law enforcement.

Missing text filed for complaint cases

When making a complaint case, user can submit images along with a description of the case. However, once the case is open, the only way of communication is with images. I had to type what I had in a simple text editor, only to take a screenshot of it and submit it as an image. It is ridiculous. I imagine a simple chat room would be of great use, both for you and your clients, for the case of complaints. Or at the very least, add the text field option, I know the saying goes "a picture is worth a thousand words", but if the picture is made of words entirely, perhaps a better medium for that would be a book.

Hey there, thanks for bringing this up. To ensure all details are accurately recorded, we require all formal communications to be handled via email. Please reach out to our Compliance team at [email protected] with your case number and any additional information you would like to provide.

I have used GName for almost a year…

I have used GName for almost a year now. I have place roughly 45 backorders successfully. That aspect of the company can be pretty sharp and overall together. The real problem starts when you attempt to modify or make a purchase or change anything. It becomes an intensive hours long ordeal with no help in sight. All they do is send you screenshots. No real description just do this. When it doesn't work the chat person sends a heavily crying emoji. They refuse to do these operations for you. Its so beyond ignorant! I spent over an hour and a half attempting to set up an email which I got no closer than when I started. I am a professional on my computer all day every day but much of what they expect is just nonsense. Customer service isn't. Its just a name with oh we are so sorry crying emoji. I personally wouldn't own, work for or use a company that simply was of no real assistance. I could go on about the other numerous flaws but why really bother. I am getting my names out and dealing with whatever trash the company puts me through. Gname is nothing but a headache. Yes they catch names but thats all they do right. I mean that statement! F!

Dear Dan, First and foremost, we want to offer a sincere and unreserved apology for the frustration you’ve experienced. As a professional who relies on our platform, being met with hours of "nonsense" and unhelpful support is completely unacceptable. it is clear we have failed to match the quality of our dropcatch technology with the quality of our human support. We want to address two specific points you raised: The "Crying Emoji" Support: I completely agree that when you are facing a technical hurdle, a crying emoji is not empathy. It is unprofessional and dismissive. We are addressing this with our chat team immediately to ensure the focus remains on technical solutions. 2. The Screenshot Loop: Providing a screenshot without a clear, written explanation or a "done-for-you" resolution is unacceptable and we will ensure that our agents will provide actual technical assistance, rather than just pointing at menus. We clearly have work to do to ensure that the experience you receive will improve significantly. If you are still struggling with that email setup or any other domain modifications, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We will ensure a senior technician handles your request from start to finish. Thank you for your honesty. It is exactly the type of feedback we need to improve!
