They refunded all donations and I cannot get any questions answered or help through customer service. Such a waste of time and effort for many people. Around 40 donors and almost $1700 gone and I can’t find out why. I will never recommend! I am devastated that in hard times this has happened.

What a good idea turned into a scam. I tried to donate $1000 for a friend in need. I opened Gofundme site and filled the required information. At the last page before submitting, a new additional charge of $175 appeared in a smaller font and grey color, not black. To me it looks like they try to hide the additional charge. This additional charge is in addition to the 2.9% that they take from the $1000. To sum it up, a $1000 donation would have cost me $1175 and my friend would have received $1000 - 2.9%. I killed the GoFundMe donation and sent a check instead 👍👏
I called in for help. I’m utterly useless on a computer. I know how to type but that’s about it. I would much prefer speaking to a live person. But you don’t even offer that. So to me that’s a bit of a bummer. However, the person I got was able to give me some help. She sent me a printout of what I had to do. Which is all well and good if I had two computers so I could read one while following the directions on the other! Please, for us older folk…could you please provide a live response!
Go fund me rips you off for high fees when you donate. What BS. They take advantage and these greedy a-holes make huge profits off of this scam.
I made a $200 donation and requested a refund for the tip of $35. My request was answered immediately notifying me that I would receive the $35 refund to my credit card.. The response was very prompt and appreciated..
The guy stuck with me and luckily I was able to get the beneficiary to do her part and he never left us.

GoFundMe is holding a small campaign's funds hostage in an endless verification loop (Ticket #19219555). Despite providing all requested IDs, platform records, and financial details, different agents contact me daily demanding more sensitive personal data.As a resident in the UK, I find these erratic internal data protection practices highly unprofessional and a security risk. My donors supported this cause in good faith, and I refuse to let GoFundMe keep their money stuck.I have given their compliance team a 24-hour ultimatum: release the funds to my verified UK bank account or refund every penny to the donors immediately. If this is not resolved today, I will officially escalate the case to the UK Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Completely disappointed.
They were help setting up with my bank. Now am confused that another person donated but has not reached out checking account.
Was trying to find a resolution to being debited over £150 on my credit card for a donation I never made. Subsequently I was told no payment was taken, however the fraud department of my credit card informed me otherwise. They have now refunded the full amount via GoFundMe and stated that’s where the fraud occurred. Be careful people when leaving card details with GFMe.

The experience is good, clean interface (sometimes confusing to find things). Customer support is reasonably friendly but could probably work on their support skills a little. I really think that there should be a way for underage people to run campaigns or allow them to run a campaign but extended the time that they require a transfer option until a few months after their eighteen birthday. I also think campaign page customisation should include more options, its quite limited and doesn't allow the person to express their fundraiser through the UI.

The entire company is worth it. I mean don't get me wrong most people want to donate to someone allllll the money but I mean ya gotta make money somehow anyways the customer service is amazing as well as the fact they get to a solution quickly
