This is the absolute WORST gold company…
This is the absolute WORST gold company to deal with. They are dishonest, are not upfront with the fees they will charge. Tell you there will be no fees and then after entering into a contract with them you find out there are undisclosed fees. They lie in order to gain customers. They are less helpful each year. The processes change every year. Every year I am told different information than the prior year which makes it almost impossible to be able to calculate the RMD I am required to take to avoid penalties. The representatives change frequently. Their customer service is atrocious. They are not responsive to e-mail requests. It is a fight every year. Entering into a contract with GoldCo was one of the worst mistakes of my life. If you are considering GoldCo I recommend you stay as far away from them as possible. Unless of course you enjoy migraines and nightmares.

Hello William and Cheryl,
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Due to higher-than-normal call volume, our response times have unfortunately been delayed.
Goldco does not charge any fees for liquidations. Please note that Goldco is not able to provide RMD calculations; however, your custodian can assist you with obtaining the necessary statement values. Once you have your RMD amount, Goldco will be happy to help you process your request.
When it’s convenient, please contact our Customer Care Department and we will gladly assist you.
I worked with Lou Amaya with my silver purchase for my mother. He was very helpful and knowledgeable guiding me through the entire transaction. I reached out to him several times during the process with additional questions and he responded promptly each time. I am very pleased with this company and will be choosing Goldco for all future silver purchases.
I worked with Ryan Poston to buy my first silver and gold. Explained alot how this works. Made sure I understood. I like that he wants to make sure I always have a way to get a hold of him and he will keep me posted on my account. I look forward to our future Goldco relationship.

Goldco at the top of the business heap
Galila Polonia and Ralph were great account executives. The 10% promotional addition to my silver account regardless of amount purchased outstanding.

Easy to work with
Easy to work with, answered all my questions, no pressure sales. Returned calls in a timely manner. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.
This company uses Celebrities to promote them while they rip you off with their buy backs on precious metal. As a Senior Citizen I decided to take my gold out of their management after three years. The promises their Rep made to me were not fulfilled and the current managers acted as if the person that was managing my funds didn't represent the views of the company. After three years the account had a ppreciated and made a profit of 40K. Of the 40K that it made GOLDCO kept 30K and gave me 10K of the appreciated funds along with my account balance. I have been two years trying to talk with someone there to get an explanation and each time I get transferred to someone who doesn't answer. Or they calls drops or they're going to have someone call me and it's never happened. They offer a good sales pitch so beware. Wolf in sheeps clothing. I've finally decided to report them to the Securities Exchange Commission. You've been warned.

Hi Wendell,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that our Customer Care team was able to assist you with your recent requests.
We understand it can be disappointing when returns don’t align with expectations. In this situation, the results may have been influenced by the multiple liquidations completed on the account, which reduced the total ounces available for your final 2023 transaction. Many customers choose to hold metals over longer periods to allow more time for potential market changes, though each person’s approach and circumstances are different.
If you have any additional questions or would like to review your account activity further, we’re here to help.

Warning signs of bad money advice…
Warning signs of bad money advice...from someone who fell for it with Goldco.
- Notable (retired) celebrity endorsements
- Repeated obvious fake 5 star reviews
- Claiming a volatile investment is a safe haven
Goldco carries all three of these.
Crook written all over it. I've lost 30% of my recently transferred funds even though Gold is priced above when I bought. Buyer beware...always.

When I went to Goldco to buy bullion I…
When I went to Goldco to buy bullion I was steered into purchasing gold coins at a premium of 81% and silver coins at a premium of 151% although this was not immediately revealed to me at the time. Now almost 4 years later evidently these coins are not nearly worth the outrageous premiums that I originally paid as Goldco is stalling to buy back the coins. They did offer me a low ball price to buy back the coins which in my opinion is disgraceful. What happened to the coins being so much better than buying bullion? Had I purchased typical bullion, I could have purchased approximately an additional 3.5 oz of gold and 1,360 ounces of silver.

Goldco's Account Executive
Goldco's Account Executive, Zeve Katz made, what for my wife and I is an extremely rare financial transaction (really unfamiliar territory) seem like it was a pleasant walk along the sea shore. He was most informative and helpful with all of our concerns, as were all of the Goldco personnel who assisted us with transferring our Traditional IRA into a Precious Metals IRA.
Your staff Peyton, Kevin,Patricia, Romona and other were exceptional. The communication was outstanding. Kevin took the time to explain to use our options and let us make an educated decision. Thank you to Phil Godlewski for sending us your way too.

Very disappointed.
I chose GoldCo over others because they were the most "new user friendly"; best for new investors, provides education, etc. So, that was my tiebreaker that led me to transferring my 401k into a silver precious metals IRA purchase with GoldCo. My first rep, I actually think doesn't work there anymore, as every reference to him is, he's out sick or on vacation. (?) Anyway, the other gentleman I am now working with, also hasn't given me a good feeling. Once my money was available for the investment, I contacted GoldCo. He presented me with the silver options available, which I was not knowledgeable in, so I told him I would do more research and call back. I did. Upon calling back SEVERAL DAYS LATER he says, ok so you've done your research, so do you want to go with option 1 or 2. I said I don't know what 1 and 2 are. He says, remember, we talked about this before? (That isn't customer service to me. If I remembered, I wouldn't have said I didn't know what they were.) I don't have a system in front of me showing what we previously discussed, and since our conversation wasn't an hour ago, 4 hours ago, or even 2 days ago, why would you ask like that? So, I thought that was condescending. He could have said, ok so remember option 1 is this, and option 2 is this, which have you decided on? Instead, he took the low road. I also don't think he would have said that if it were a man on the other end of the line. In addition, after the transaction, I was sent a promo ad that said if you made a precious metals IRA purchase within the last 10 days, you qualify for a free 10 % in silver bullion. I call the number on the ad, and the same guy who answers their main line, answers. He is not friendly, and instead, he gets some information and then just transfers you. So, I ask him for his name, radio silence. I ask again and eventually, he disconnects. So, I call right back (he answered the phone again). I said so that's what you do when someone asks for your name? He asks how he can help me. I asked for his name again, he finally provides Robert Taylor, as his name. He then tries to play it off that it wasn't him who answered the phone and must have been someone else. What a joke. I don't know how GoldCo has the ratings it does, with the service I have been provided. Save yourself the frustration, disrespect and infuriation and just go with GoldCo's competition.

The process was easy enough to invest…
The process was easy enough to invest in however life happens and when I needed to liquidate my account it was like pulling teeth . I started to request liquidation of my account the beginning of January but I couldn’t speak to a human. Then I was told they would not be able to talk to me until after January 16 and when I called back on the 16 th I was told acustomer service person would call me in a couple of days. On January 28 I got a number from equity trust to call and spoke to a live person who said due to the high volume of requests it would be 7-10 days and someone would contact me. On February 7 I called back to see if any progress was being made and was told I should be getting a call in a few days. It is now February 9 and I have still not heard from anyone.

Gold Co is only interested in stuffing their pockets and their coins are worthless!
Boy after reading these one star reviews I feel like part of the family! It’s exactly what happened to me. They promised in three years they would buy back but they told me Melt price. Also told me that I could not break the contract for three years. I finally have had and enough and moved my coins to a different brokerage firm. I was informed at that time that the metals I purchased are basically a generic unknown name (mighty mo) and are not popular when trying to sell and get the popular buffalo or eagle coins. After investing, all of my 401(k), and being with them for nearly 3 years, I did not gain any money. This is a huge scam. I am so frustrated and I’m so angry right now. They do not care about the customer. It’s only to stuff their pockets. I got a letter, when asked for the value of my investment, which said I had roughly 83,000. My initial contribution was almost 42,000. Once I sold to a different investment company that are going to get me the coins that I should’ve been given in the beginning I looked at what the final investment was and I made $3000 in three years. UNBELIEVABLE! They don’t care about anyone’s retirement. It’s all about them. They'll promise you, the moon and the stars, but their products are crap and nobody else in the precious metals industry wants them whatsoever!! Please do your research and please look at these one star reviews because the individuals that wrote them have had the same experience I had. I feel it is my responsibility to get the word out there in hopes that I can change one person‘s mind to not go with Gold Co to realize no other metal dealers wants to buy their wants their coins. You buy them for way more than they’re worth and when they sell, they sell at melt price only. SCAM! And trying to sell these coins to get the valued coins that are worth something. buyers I have worked a request unpopular and unwanted, “precious” metals so they say, you can’t give them away! And watch, now I’ll get a generic response saying I’m not informed. I have a letter saying the approximate value of my account was $84,000. When my new brokerage company told me my account had gained approximately $3000 in three years. Sick to my stomach. BUYER BEWARE!

Hi Kendra,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. When speaking with other companies, it’s possible that some of the information shared with you may not have reflected the full picture. It’s not uncommon for competitors to offer significantly less for coins, while Goldco is often able to offer above spot price.
If you still have the coins you purchased from Goldco, you’re welcome to contact our Customer Care Department for a quote on what we can offer. Unfortunately, we sometimes learn about a sale only after it has already taken place, and at that point we’re unable to assist.
We’d be glad to help if you need support in the future. Also, please keep in mind that the values shown on custodian statements typically reflect spot pricing, which is lower than the actual value of the metals—as noted in the statements themselves.
