This is the best and universal scanner…

This is the best and universal scanner software ever. Works with lot's of -no longer supported- scanners. Older flatbed, diapositive of fotonegative scanner? No problem, it works great and straightforward. Through the years I'm using it, programm updates are being distributed very frequently. Apparently people are constantly working on software development and improvements. lot's of value for the money!

Great software though issues with high lights

I have been using VueScan for a long time with a Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED and for the most part find it excellent. However there are certain images that result in extremely blown out high lights, even though in the images they are not. It doesn't matter what settings and adjustments I make in the software. Overall, though, I do get excellent results. One suggestion for a future update would be a preview button to check before and after adjustments.

VueScan & CanonScan LiDE 90

I am using a CanonScan LiDE 90, an old but solid scanner, with an IMac. Since the original software was not supported anymore some years ago I was forced to find a solution. I found VueScan and since then it is without problem to further use my scanner rather than to buy a new one. VueScan is user-friendly and works well. I am scanning documents and photos. I recommend VueScan.

VueScan is a great product

VueScan is a great product. I've been using it for decades. It has many options and allows me to tailor my scanning. I've rarely had problems with it. When I once had a problem, support was excellent and resolved it quickly. I use it with several different scanners.

By far the best software I've found…

By far the best software I've found that works with my Epson scanner. VueScan keeps getting better, with extensive settings available plus good image recognition - not 100%, but good, and they are working to continue refining that capability. This software is well worth the price.

Fast and good

VueScan is pretty fast and delivers very good results. It´s worth every cent / penny / Dollar / Euro ... you spend for it. There is one great wish I have: A manual which shows in depth the great features VueScan is offering.

VueScan has been valuable to me Twice

VueScan has been valuable to me on two different computers at two different times. Some years ago I needed to scan a large collection of slides and film negatives. VueScan made it easy to do this, and scanned with high resolution. The second time was recently. When I upgraded my iMac's operating system to Tahoe i was no longer able to scan using the Mac's ImageCapture . It eventually turned out that Canon did not upgrade for the Tahoe OS the drivers for either of the two Canon printers that I have. However, I bought a second VueScan (this is a different computer) and VueScan scans perfectly.

Outstanding piece of software

Outstanding piece of software - works with all my old scanners (including an Epson 1640SU) and most new models alike and keeps old working kit from going to a landfill. Used it on windows for ages, have the iPhone version, and am now using it on my MacOS (from 2012 to latest Apple silicon ones). Great stuff, great experience and very responsive team.

Excellent software and outstanding value

I've been extremely impressed with VueScan. It has given a new lease of life to an older scanner that would otherwise have been obsolete, saving me the cost of replacing perfectly good hardware. The software is powerful, reliable and packed with features, yet once you've become familiar with it, it is straightforward to use. The scan quality is excellent, and I particularly appreciate the regular updates. Considering what it offers, VueScan represents exceptional value for money. It's refreshing to find software that continues to improve over time without forcing users into unnecessary hardware upgrades. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to get the best from their scanner.

Great Customer Service

I have used VueScan for over 5 years since software updates stopped being available for my Canon 9000F. The software has worked flawlessly scanning papers and photos. Recently I discovered that Apple would no longer support the version I had been using since it was not compatible with Apple Silicon platform. No problem. David at VueScan walked me through the options and was available to answer my questions via email -- speedily and efficiently. As long as my scanner remains functional, I will continue to use VueScan. Highly recommend.

Great software - easy to use

Great software. Keep it simple or fine tune your scanning. Works with every scanner I have tried and typically much easier to use than the manufacturers own software! Frequent updates too

VueScan works on my Canon 8800F Scanner Good…

I have been using VueScan for a few years now. This is there current version that I am using for scanning 4X6 photo prints. It works good. My only complaint is the new subscription pricing. I have an original one time purchase version running on my old MacBook that did everything. Now they have two price tiers for subscription only that run on the new Apple Chip Macs. I purchased just the cheaper basic subscription, which will scan photo prints. But not slides and transparencies. That requires their pricier yearly subscription.

Never go back...

I had to buy this software years ago, but I will never again use the software, that comes with the scanner again, even if I buy a new scanner.

I've been using Vuescan for many years, very happy with it!

I've been using Vuescan for many years, and it is one of the most useful programs I have. As a former photo industry tech rep, professional photographer and a photography teacher for many years, I do a lot of scanning on a variety of devices, and Vuescan makes it easy. being able to use one software interface for all my various slide and print scanners makes so much sense, and the mage quality is oustanding on all of them. The ability to scan to Raw (DNG) files is HUGE for me in all my work.

Highly recommended

Have used a number of scanning software managers over many years, most with mediocre results or with ongoing problems. I purchased VueScan in 2024 to use with my Canon TR8600. It is simple to use, has many good features and produces good quality PDF and images. I highly recommend.

Always works! Always

I've been using their software for literally decades. I have never thrown a scanner at it that didn't work, and they keep adding new features
