Overall a good experience
The recipes get very repetitive and there need to be more options for diabetic friendly meals. Have had issues with multiple deliveries coming with the eggs busted and rotten produce. I feel bad about the amount of trash as well with the packaging. That being said my family my does enjoy the meals, they do taste great and often the ingredients are fresh. It makes meal time easier and I do enjoy not having to shop for the ingredients or find the recipes. The recipe cards are wonderful and appreciated.
2nd week and major delay in delivery. No communication
It’s Thursday night. Our meals should’ve been here Tuesday. This is only our send week- and it is very disappointing.

I did not intend to subscribe. Sadly you used my credit card from years ago I was merely curious as to how the program worked. I saw that you had to order every week. I even declined membership through a chat. I want to cancel!!!!! My credit card will not be available to you. I feel taken advantage of.

Orders were completely wrong.
I had an order for Thursday, August 6. On Wednesday, August 5, I changed my orders to be delivered on Tuesdays. I then placed my order for Tuesday, August 11th. The order I received on August 6th, was NOT delivered. Instead, I received what I ordered for Tuesday, and now my order for Tuesday is gone from my site. I wanted the menu I received on the 6th for the 11th. I don’t know what to do. And, today I received my neighbor’s order, and had to do your delivering for you to Kathy Huettl.I am upset and wondering what to do.
We love Hello Fresh. This is perfect for someone who enjoys home cooked meals but hates deciding what to make or grocery shopping for all the ingredients. Always delicious, great for families and really reasonably priced.
Over all, we like most of the recipes and the good selection. However, pricing is very, very expensive and recent price increase at this point makes Hello Fresh as equally as expensive as ordering take out with more work. Additonally, several times we have received boxes with missing ingredients, or such small or odd produce size that it affects the recipe proportions. At the end of the day, however, it's the price that is really making us looking to make a change away from this subscription.
Generally so good with communication and the food is really good. I was disappointed to see that shrimp etoufee not in the rotation. I’ve had it many times before and ordered double once to serve to guests. It’s my all time favorite. Less interested in HF knowing I don’t have that to look forward to. ☹️
The food is great, but I often receive boxes with missing ingredients. I rarely order specialty meals but the last two times only half the steak came, so I won’t be ordering those anymore. This last time the app said the box was never delivered even though it was, and therefore I couldn’t report about the missing meat. I’ve also gotten a box with the correct cooking directions, but a totally different meal than I ordered, then couldn’t find any cooking instructions for even on the app. It’s frustrating to feed my family dinners with important missing ingredients. If Hello Fresh was better at putting all the food in the boxes I’d give them 5 stars.
The smaller portions, fewer fresh ingredients, unreliable delivery schedule all combined with the lack of discounts for regular customers only new. Just getting too expensive.
Pros: A lot of variety and the ingredients are usually fresh and high quality. Flavorful sauces and seasonings. The portion sizes feel just right, less food waste. Recipes are very easy to follow and you learn to cook new things. The plans are flexible and it’s easy to skip deliveries if you want to. Takes away the stress and pressure of meal planning. Saves time with many things pre portioned and often pre-prepared. Much more affordable than eating out. Using promo codes and intro offers make it more affordable.
Cons: More expensive compared to cooking for yourself. Some people may have different tastes than what is offered. Occasional delivery delays (try switching your delivery day). Occasional spoiled produce, but they will offer credit. Might not be a good fit for single person households or big families.
