Decent meal
My first meal was good. One ingredient was slimy (cilantro) but I've come to accept that consistent freshness is often difficult. The recipe cards were ok. I prefer Home Chef, recipe cards. Looking forward to the other two meals.
My first box...
Delivery was great. Everything came as ordered. The vegetables and herbs were fresh and in good shape. I'm a little concerned about the quality of the ingredients. Packaged items (hummus and some sauces) don't have ingredient lists. Also, the feta cheese that came with one dish was very grainy. I threw it out. I love that there are a lot of options for vegan / vegetarian diets, so I'm excited to try more dishes.

Congrats Hello Fresh. I'm having a good time in my kitchen because of this service. I spend less on Hello Fresh than two local delivery orders. The recipes are very good, easy to follow and the food is brilliantly prepared and most of all delicious. I'm glad I found Hello Fresh.
Would recommend overall
I love the recipes and the variety of meals. There are options for everyone. Many meals are things I never would have made on my own. The meals have expanded my entire family’s horizon. My main complaint is that HelloFresh needs to do a better job at Quality Control. I get produce that I can’t use more often than I should because it’s either not ripe enough or has gone bad. The orders often come with missing ingredients or missing recipes. However, they are very good about providing credits for future meals if an order has something missing.

We have truly enjoyed Hello Fresh for the fresh ingredients and easy to follow recipes. Lately, though the ingredients have changed and are not as fresh as they once were. We have also had several items missing and boxes that have been delivered have been damaged. We Will continue with Hello Fresh for now but we are exploring options
Variety
Cooking directions are easy to follow, food quality and variety are excellent. I've tried items I've never prepared before - some will be reordered, some won't - my choice.
Easy and Delicious!
The meals have all been relatively easy to prepare and have all been delicious so far! I tried another meal service plan (pre-made, microwavable or reheat in the oven) at the same time as starting Hello Fresh, and the quality of Hello Fresh is way higher. Sticking with Hello Fresh for sure.

Our First 3 Weeks
Week 1: everything was fine. Not thilled with the quality of the shipping box and the cooling method but the food was great. Week2: Fedex tries to deliver a soaking wet box to us. I opened the box, saw that the cooling bag leaked all over the food and soaked through the box so we refused delivery. Week3: Box arrived 1 day late. Again the cheap box was crushed. The cooling bags remained intact this time but condensation caused 1 of the meal bags to get soaked. Also the bottom meal bag was ripped open in multiple spots from the pressure of whatever crushed the shipping box. *I called and service was very polite and issued some credits for our terrible experience, but this could have been avoided completely if you used better quality shipping and cooling options. I've been ordering food from Omaha Steaks for over 20 years and I have NEVER had an issue with shipping or cooling. You can do better than this. Bottom line... I have very little confidence in the safety of the food being shipped in such a cheap box with cheap cooling. Shame because we really like the food.
Can’t make 2 recioies
We were missing the meat for 2 of our recipes & only got an $11 credit. Ridiculous

Every week when I get my box the meat is packaged at the bottle and has been busted open from the ice packs. I always have leaky meat packs and can never use at least one of the packs of meat.

Overall using hello fresh has been great, I don’t have to buy a bunch of groceries or throw away leftovers or think about meals! However recently I feel like the quality in the meals has gone down. My family enjoys pork chops and we have been seeing less off those options. Some of the produce in our bags recently has gone bad as well by the time we get to cook the meal.

I have to say as of late I'm highly underwhelmed with their overall service, we've been with them going on 2 years and we couldn't say enough good things about them, however the menu has gone stale the delivery has been late more then not and I'm seriously thinking of doing something else
