Food is good helped me lose almost 40 lbs . but I'm a lil annoyed one package came late defrosted with spoiled food another order came a meal short. And my current order im confused on pricing but can't get an invoice but my money way already taken. And food might be getting a lil expensive for me . Might need to take a break for a Lil while
I absolutely love how these meals come, I can use up everything in the bag and then just toss it. Love most of the meals I pick, produce could be fresher though...good thing I usually have stuff in the fridge. And also, if the recipe calls for a red pepper, send a red pepper not yellow! They taste different! Other then that though, they are tasty and convenient me
The past several boxes have had missing products or products that are substandard. The most annoying is the missing proteins. I really wanted to make the turkey enchiladas verdes last night but only half of the ground turkey was sent. I have to get that at the grocery store when I shop tomorrow. This last box was also missing half of the beef but since I had some in the freezer, I was able to make the stromboli last night. However, that dish also required thyme which was missing from the box.
When I report the problems with the products, I am told that there will be a credit on my account. However, I often don't remember to look to see if the credit was used when I order the next box. My orders are getting further and further apart because of the issues with the ingredients and often, the recipes do not align with our dietary requirements.
It makes life a lot easier to be able to sit on the couch and select my future meals weeks in advance and there’s much less food waste. However, there are ingredients missing or damaged in nearly every box which kind of ruins the point. It’s also not very easy to get money back when this happens. For example, refunding you $2-$3 for missing potatoes when those potatoes were like a third of the meal. My partner and I plan on trying to find a different service we just haven’t had the time to look.
I would say it was all better before you decided that your expansion of options meant my servings for ANY meal increased (even if they are not new) and that shipping increased (not that packaging has changed at all).
And the expansion of options should include more fruit and veggies!
Maybe try adding appetizers and or desserts as amazing as some of the meals. I would be more likely to purchase those, rather than more entrees.

Just okay
Recipes were different, but food quality was not impressive for the over all cost.
We are loving Hello Fresh! Saving money, not throwing away leftovers, reduced trips to the grocery store, easy to prepare meals that we’ve selected together and enjoying well balanced, delicious meals!

Deceptive Practices from Hello Fresh
Welp, I was REALLY impressed with Hello Fresh. the meal options are great! They are easy and present a bonding/learning opportunity with your kids. I was so impressed that I went straight to referring friends and family. Their referral program offers "credits" to be applied to your future orders. What they don't tell you is that if you are still under one of their 52-week starter promotions, you cannot use those credits until all of the promotion weeks have been exhausted. I happen to have two 52-week promotions on my account so I cannot use any referral credits until I have been with Hello Fresh for almost 2 years! Looking over the benefit again, it does not state this anywhere... It explicitly states, "This discount is automatically applied to your order". Very deceiving practices and customer support had absolutely no resolution. When I asked if that just means I shouldn't be referring anyone for the next 2 years because the promised credits are a sham, Janelle from customer support met me with "that is your decision and we have no authority over what you choose to do :)". In 2026, none of these conglomerations care about their customers. They will say whatever they can to reel you in, get your money, and then shrug you off when asked about it. Do better Hello Fresh.
Recipe cards are frequently missing. Sometimes they are difficult to find on the website. The chat bot will send the .pdf but you cannot open the .pdf. I have sent this error message to your company 4x now over the course of 2 months and it is still not fixed.

Always an issue with an ingredient or…
Always an issue with an ingredient or missing recipe card!
Love it! Great food and easy to make recipes. Meals I never would have thought of on my own. I get two meals for two people for the price of dinner out once!
HelloFresh has changed our lives. We rarely go shopping now. I swear it saves us money because I used to go shopping and at the end of the week, our remaining food needed thrown out. It feels like we were throwing away half of what we bought! With Hellofresh there is NO waste. Everything tastes amazing, and it is so fun and easy to make. THANK YOU, HelloFresh!

Deceptive Practices from Hello Fresh
Welp, I was REALLY starting to enjoy Hello Fresh... The honeymoon phase (2 weeks) was beautiful. The food options are delicious, and the meal structure really presents great bonding/learning opportunities for parents and their kids. I was so impressed with them that I immediately started referring my family and friends. With their referral program, they were initially offering $35 in "credits" once the person referred has placed their 1st order. Currently they are offering me $45/referral. Once the "benefit" pops up with the credit, it says it will automatically be applied to your order. What they don't say anywhere (at least not that I have been able to find. Probably lives somewhere in the small print, hiding from public sight) is that if you are still on an active starter promotion (like 15% off your first 52 boxes) you cannot use your "credits" until all 52 weekly box discounts have been exhausted. In my case, I have two 52-week promotions on my account for 15% off so I am told I cannot use my referral credits for almost 2 years. I reached out to customer support which was truly a joke and complete waste of my time as well as the rep's time. I stated I wanted to use the $35 credit because the discount was better than the roughly $20 discount I get with the 15% off promotion and was told it cannot be done. When I asked if their solution is that I don't refer new customers for the next 2 years because their referral promotion is a sham, Janelle from customer support met me with, "That is your decision and we have no authority over your decisions :)". It is so blatantly clear in 2026 that these conglomerations do not care at all about their customers. Their only concern is the cash grab. They say whatever they need to in order to get your money, then provide absolutely garbage customer service when you ask about their deception. We could have had a long, loving relationship Hello Fresh. I could have told everyone I love about how amazing you were. I don't appreciate feeling lied to though, so now I am canceling instead. Do better Hello Fresh...
Large variety of meals to choose from. Especially like the seafood choices and the organic oprions!
The meals have been very enjoyable to cook and eat.
I love the meals but delivery is hit or miss I’ve only complained once about not receiving my box directly to my door (it was left outside by a community mailbox and someone took it) and was credited not refunded which set me back as I had no money to get groceries that week as I budgeted for my hello fresh meal.
