My experience with HeyBike has been really good so far. Purchasing the Mars 3.0 was simple and straightforward, assembly was easy and quick too. The bike handles pretty well and the shocks are nice too. Maintaining and charging the bike are also no sweat and it’s easy to store and unfold. The quality of the accessories as well has been amazing and Im looking forward to more purchases in the future.
Ranger Pro and the Alpha (step through)
Got the Ranger Pro and the Alpha step through version. Delivery of both bikes was fairly fast within a week, but because of the weight (75lbs each) they dropped the bikes off at the end of my driveway. Luckily no one stole them. The accessories delivery took much longer about 2 week after for the basket, 3 1/2 weeks for their free Christmas gift, and I’m still waiting on my helmet, backpack, and lock been about 2 months now. Installation on both bikes were simple enough and all tools were included still needs two people though because it’s heavy and you have to slide the tires on carefully to not damage the disc brakes. The ride of both bikes are completely different. The Ranger Pro uses a smart nfc key, passcode, or your phone to unlock the controls and activate your bike. The great thing about this bike is the power and speed you gain when activating the throttle. No matter what mode the speed easily reaches max (28mph) especially going downhill. The PAS (Pedal Assist System) works great and very responsive with several modes to choose from. The Alpha doesn’t need anything to function just press power choose your PAS and pedal. The PAS on this bike is super responsive even in low settings. The throttle response is extremely underwhelming. The motor wont turn on immediately when turning the throttle you have to pedal to the speed you want and the motor eventually takes over. This means you have to make sure you’re on the right gear to get to the speeds you want. Not too difficult because the PAS is amazing. But if you’re not aware, it sometimes feels like the throttle isn’t working and it takes awhile to reach and stay on max speed without pedaling. The reason is probably because of their intended use and the placement of the motor, on the Alpha it’s between the pedals on the Ranger it’s in the rear rims. I call the Ranger Pro my explore bike and the Alpha my workout bike, both still extremely fun and easy to use. I like that both bikes can connect to the Heybike app and tracks your mileage. You can’t go wrong with either bike just know what your intentions are before choosing one.
Heybike Ranger S review
Great website, easy purchase process and quick delivery even thru the holidays. The Ranger S arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. My wife is thrilled with her new Ranger S. We opted for the 1000 watt model and the torque sensor is so much smoother than pedal assist. Highly recommend it. We opted for the Panniers as an accessory, but they were out of stack. Customer service was great in helping with options on substituting another accessory option. Overall we are extremely satisfied with everything and our customer service has been excellent
