I’m new to HeyGen—about three weeks…

I’m new to HeyGen—about three weeks in—and there is a slight learning curve when getting started. For me, the biggest challenge was learning how to use AI agents to write effective HeyGen instructions for creating my videos. After making a few mistakes, I contacted technical support. The two representatives I worked with were patient, knowledgeable, and very clear in their guidance. They walked me through the correct process and made sure I wasn’t left hanging. I truly appreciated their help. Another major plus is the almost nonexistent wait time to chat with a live support agent. Once I begin a project, I can’t afford unnecessary downtime, so responsive support is extremely important to me. Kudos to the HeyGen support team for providing such prompt and helpful service!

I've been using HeyGen for a while now, and it has genuinely transformed how I create video content. The platform is incredibly intuitive and makes producing professional-grade videos a breeze, even if you have zero video editing experience

So glad I found this!

As a social media content creator I have been spinning my wheels looking for a program where I can create a cartoon avatar of myself that talks. I have about 110,000 friends (I hate the word followers, makes people sound like cult leaders lol) on TikTok and about 6k-ish combined on FB and IG. My next goal is YouTube. I want to make it a faceless channel but everything felt too difficult/expensive. I felt like the free tier gave me everything I needed to try it out. I wanted to really see what HeyGen could do, so I paid for a month. I cannot tell you how incredibly easy and intuitive HeyGen has been. Everything is labeled clearly, "AI Avatar" "Voices" "AI Studio". Want to start a podcast? They've got you covered. Want to generate a video...you got it. Do you want to turn your powerpoint into an awesome video? Done. When I cloned myself, (not the cartoon) it freaked me out at first. There was a kind of an "uncanny valley" thing happening haha. But you can put in prompts to make it act more natural. There's even a little AI button to help if you have questions. It has absolutely everything I need and then some. The price is great for what you get compare to what I've researched (and I researched A LOT!). There are a lot of scam sites out there...this is not one of them. I'm impressed and as long as things continue to go well, I'll be telling everyone I know about them!

I've had a great experience with HeyGen. The platform is incredibly powerful and professional, and it has allowed me to create high-quality, engaging, and genuinely useful videos in a very short amount of time. My advice to new users is simple: take a little time to understand how the system works and pay attention to your credit usage. Once you get familiar with the platform, everything becomes much easier, and you'll appreciate how much it can do. What impressed me the most wasn't just the product itself, but the customer support. They were patient, kind, transparent, and genuinely willing to help. They took the time to investigate my issue and found a solution that allowed me to continue my project. A big thank you to the entire HeyGen team. It's rare to find both an excellent product and exceptional customer service in one place. Highly recommended! 💜

Repeated charges for one unfinished, defective video. One video consumed thousands of credits and still did not work

I had a deeply frustrating experience creating a single video with HeyGen’s Video Agent. Approximately 1,667 credits were consumed, but the generated versions contained missing scenes and noticeable audio lip-sync problems. The system then required another 990 credits to continue working on the same unfinished video. Support said the credits from my “most recent video” had been refunded, but when I asked for the exact amount, I learned that only 300 credits had initially been restored. After I challenged that amount, another 700 credits were added. The interface showed that I had approximately 4,100 credits available, yet it still prompted me to purchase another 1,000 credits for $50 before the video could proceed. Only after the purchase and after processing had started did support tell me to refresh the page to update my credit balance. Support later offered to cancel the $50 purchase. I accepted, provided it would not affect the video already processing, but the transcript ended without confirmation that the purchase had been canceled or refunded. I understand that AI results can vary. What I do not accept is repeatedly paying to correct defective generations, receiving unclear information about restored credits, and being prompted to make an additional purchase despite having credits available. HeyGen needs stronger quality control, transparent credit accounting, and a reliable refund process.
