this site was very easy to use. I am certainly not an expert and I was able to make a clone speaking to parents in under ten minutes! The cost is pretty reasonable and I can cancel whenever I want.

I felt goodd about it at first

I felt very good about their structure. I thought, what could be better than a collaborative conversation, so I paid for a higher tier. They don't post things like how many credits generations use as you work, which was fine.The artists are great, but they first establish character anchors with you for consistency, then each generation they mess up just one or a couple of things on the characters. They apologize, regenerate, and do the same thing again and again. What should take five generations takes twenty, then there was a warning to start a new chat, so I checked it out. The new chat agent has no knowledge of the project you just spent hours on, nor does it have access to your previous generations or characters and the old agent just stopped. I feel scammed. They make awesome videos, but to get what came there for will cost five times what it should by the time they run the wild goose chase.

They had a promo on the website (free x1 month for the creator account). The promo code didn't work. Support reached out a day later to confirm the promo should have not been emailed - I confirmed it was a banner on the website, not an email, they ignored it. Amateur play and seems disjointed internally!

I've really enjoyed using HeyGen, especially the new AI Studio. The interface is clean, intuitive, and much easier to navigate than before. It's helped me create professional real estate marketing videos much more efficiently. One feature I'd love to see in future updates is more natural presenter movements and gestures. It would also be helpful to have greater control over the presenter's position, animations, and interactions with on-screen content. These improvements would make AI-generated presentations feel even more realistic and polished. Overall, HeyGen has become one of my favorite tools for creating high-quality AI videos, and I appreciate the team's continuous improvements. I'm excited to see what comes next!

Disappointing experience with HeyGen’s promo code incident

Recently, HeyGen issued a promo code for a 1-month Creator Plan. Like many of my audience members and fellow creators, I redeemed it to test out their platform. However, within just a few hours, the plan was revoked and accounts were downgraded back to the Free Plan. When reached out to support, they confirmed that the email containing the promo code was sent "by mistake" and they will not be honoring it or offering any resolution. While mistakes happen, revoking access after users signed up feels very misleading and frustrating for the creator community. If you were planning to use HeyGen based on this offer, just a heads-up that it won't work.

Finally a tool that actually supports Uzbek I've tried several AI video tools before, and one thing that always disappointed me was the lack of Uzbek language support — most platforms cover major European and Asian languages but completely skip ours. HeyGen is the first tool I've used where I could actually work with Uzbek properly, and that alone makes it stand out from the competition. The video translation feature works smoothly — you upload your video, and it handles transcription, translation, and lip-sync automatically without needing to manually type out scripts. The Dynamic Duration option is a nice touch too: since Uzbek sentences often come out longer than their English equivalents, this feature stretches the timing naturally instead of making the speech sound rushed or robotic. The Creator plan's credit system takes a bit of getting used to — it's not truly "unlimited" the way the marketing suggests, so it's worth doing the math on your actual usage (avatar minutes vs. translation minutes) before committing. But for the price, having reliable Uzbek support alone justifies it for me. One suggestion for HeyGen: a built-in glossary/idiom correction tool for underrepresented languages like Uzbek would make the localization (not just translation) even better — right now, manual script editing is still needed to avoid overly literal phrasing. Overall, a solid tool, and genuinely refreshing to see a language like Uzbek get real support instead of being an afterthought.

The customer service is terrible. Sam was very unresponsive and kept leaving the chat without fully resolving my problem. The entire experience was frustrating and disappointing.

They even break their own terms and conditions to over charge!

Have had the same monthly subscription for several months. Randomly this month 20% more was charged without any notice, out of the blue. I contacted live chat and was told they were adding UK taxes now. I alerted them that they are required (by their own terms and conditions, as well as both UK and US law) to notify customers of any changes to pricing before these are enacted. They ignored this and sent a further template reply before stopping responding to messages. I then email their customer service and specifically quoted their own terms and conditions back to them showing how they are in breach of their own terms. Got the same copy and paste responses as the live chat. They completely ignore the fact staring them in the face that they are breaking the law and their own terms. It now leaves me no choice but to apply for a chargeback on my card, or take legal action against them given how obviously they are in breach of contract. I appreciate that all companies make mistakes - but to make a mistake and then repeatedly ignore a customer who has spent hundreds with you is pretty disdainful.
