I like hibid. I use it all the time. The only changes I would suggest would be some minor user interface/layout things.

Damaged and missing items

Dear Team, I recently picked up my bulk auction order. At the time of collection, I was advised to check the items at home because there were many customers waiting and it would be difficult to inspect everything on-site. After checking the order at home, I found that several items are missing and some items are damaged. As discussed, I would like to request a refund for the missing and damaged items. The not knowing est shipping costs ahead of time and then still waiting on a couple auction items I bid on over 3 weeks ago and it's in state even. No excuse and lack of communication. Another auction charged $20 to ship a single 8x10 photo and another single item is $41 to ship. Unreal

Excellent Bidding Process

The process to get registered for each auction is seamless. Bidding is quick and easy. The refreshes are good and the countdown during the final minutes is excellent. Your cost is very good.

I enjoy the experience of finding items I like that I want to bid on, selecting my ceiling price, and waiting to see if I won items.

No Continuous clock

My only complaint is the the items don't use a continuous clock and only refresh every 60 seconds. This makes it very difficult to bid on items that are closing at about the same time!

DO NOT USE Beavery Express. False “incorrect address” claim on a 100% accurate address, shipment returned then “lost,” and they refuse to refund their own error. No customer service. Manager (Scott) does not respond. Avoid at all costs.

Hibid does not backup buyers

Hibid does not backup buyers. It is there it seems just for sellers, which can be completely horrible, sell junk, not refund trashed items, etc. You will get zero help from Hibid. Learn the sellers and which to stay away from is only hope with this platform. Horrible experiences with Eouse Auctions. With zero help. Complained and was just blocked by Eouse Auctions. Beware. Others have great like Bronstein Auctions.

I am 5 for 5 in receiving counterfeit…

I am 5 for 5 in receiving counterfeit product from Hibid sellers. Unfortunately Hibid wants no part of that interaction and I am at the mercy of the individual sellers as to whether they will refund me for fake product. Hibid customer service will not even enter into that conversation. So buyers beware - the platform does not guarantee products nor are they really there to support buyers, they are there to support their sellers first.

Avoid HiBid Auction Site

This review is primarily for the HiBid Auction website itself. As a whole, most of the sellers are fine to deal with, but when a problem arises HiBid will do everything to help protect the seller. I was charged for merchandise, was sent an email to pickup items even though in the auction you can clearly see shipping was selected and shipping available was advertised. I responded to the email stating we had elected for shipping. No response but they were nice enough to charge my account and never ship. Fast forward, I contact HiBid via their contact center which generated email. HiBid said they cannot help via email and must start live chat using "problem with auction". Eventually agent pops into chat. Which the first time was Rocco, the individual who originally sent the email instructions. He proceeded to tell me he cannot assist me over the phone, as we're typing messages back and forth and that he will need to close the chat and I will need to try again. I've tried four different times now and each time is met with the same messages that I must close and start new chat. Yet nothing new happens. Either protecting the scammers or legitimately the most unintelligent help ever received

Auction house held lots for 10 days and refuse to release despite payment

I have called the auction house four times since the auction 31 May. It is now 10 June. The auction house does not pick up the phone or return voicemails. I paid the shipping company 10 days ago, and the auction house will not release my painting. Do I call the police next? They should provide customer service and release my paid for (both the items AND the shipping) but they refuse to release OR communicate.

Just received my auction items from…

Just received my auction items from High Bid Win. Bought $96 worth of goods. 15Lb box shipped from PA to CA, USPS $45, UPS $49. It shipped Fedex. $96 to ship. And also paid a Convenience, fee $6.12 Called them to remove account, and delete payment info. Person answering the phone had no clue. Anywere else I can file official complaint??

Straightforward

Straightforward, clean site with quick registration for auctions. Easy to see progress in auctions. All auctioneers have been responsive to questions within a reasonable time. Prices and variety are better than many auction sites. I wish the item search functions were more robust so I could sift more efficiently through the many items up for auction in North America. Also, the "May Have Won" designation is confusing. I'm unclear why it is the outcome when there is no reserve on an item. Did I win, or didn't I? Some auctions clearly designate "Won" or "Outbid" but it's confusing to see "May Have Won" and not know whether or not my credit card is going to be charged! Even after I am charged, an item may still say "May Have Won" when I actually won it.... Also one of my bids was declined and I'm not sure why; do auctioneers share their reasons? I know they have lots of discretion in making decisions but I thought I had followed the rules.

Well the certificate I won for 3 nights…

Well the certificate I won for 3 nights 4 days in Gulf Shores, AL. I received it in the mail and I went to activate it and it said it was already in use by someone named Faith Taylor, I have no clue who that is. So, I am very disappointed, I tried reaching out to the group I won it from and have not got a response. I was using that for me and my two daughters for vacation and now I have to tell them we can't go.

There were a lot of small issues

There were a lot of small issues. Like the bell seemingly defaulting to being on so if I shut it off and then the page refreshes, it turns back on and in fact, the page refreshing is probably I think one of my biggest issues like when it’s live and I’m exiting out auctions. I don’t care about if I mess up and refresh the page all of those options that I’ve maxed out come back.
