No accountability whatsoever
No accountability whatsoever. Have been burned twice by sellers on here with no recourse. One item, never received, zero communication and no refund. HiBid did nothing. Second time bought an "authentic" autographed jersey. Sent to Beckett and failed authentication. Once again HiBid did nothing. Not too mention they communicate thru some horrible chat system that you cant even retrieve the messages they send you on your own. You have to start a new chat with AI - E-V-E-R-Y-T-I-M-E just to try and get a human to retrieve the message that was sent.
I've tried contacting a Pokemon card auctioneer in the Palmdale California area about authenticity of their Pokemon cards, but have not received an answer, thus bidders should beware and make sure you can get a refund if cards are forgery. There are apps online and services that may help determine if this is the case.
I am done with this site. They are there for the seller and don't give a damn about the buyer. I thought it was a huge, legit auction site. Now I'm thinking it's all about the Benjamins. DONE!

Buyer beware: one-sided feedback system with zero recourse!
I've been an active bidder on HiBid across multiple auction houses, but a recent experience has seriously damaged my trust in the platform.
After a dispute with one seller over a damaged item (a sticker had ruined a piece I purchased), that seller left a negative note on my bidder account. I had no idea this happened — HiBid gives auction houses a one-sided rating system where they can leave notes on bidder accounts, but bidders have no way to view, dispute, or respond to what's written about them.
Within days, my bids started going into "pending" status across completely unrelated auction houses — sellers I'd never interacted with before. I contacted HiBid support and was told they're "just a platform" and have no control over auctioneer notes, and that I should contact the seller who left the note myself and ask them to remove it. Not exactly a fair ask when that seller is the one upset with me in the first place.
What confirmed the issue: a different, unrelated auction house reached out directly after I requested bidding approval and told me plainly that the other seller's negative note was the reason I was being declined — meaning one retaliatory note from one bad transaction can quietly restrict a buyer platform-wide, with zero transparency or right to appeal.
If you're a buyer on HiBid, know that there's no equivalent way for you to rate or flag a seller, but sellers can silently tank your ability to bid anywhere on the platform. That's a serious imbalance for a marketplace this size.
It is a place where sellers can scam people. Don't waste your time. You might not even receive the items you won, or you could even be treated as if you were the one at fault. Their technical support is appalling. It doesn't matter what you say or what you've experienced; you are the one paying, yet they act like the boss. Be careful.

I have bought a dozen items off of Hibid not always a good experiance
I have bought a few items off of Hibid 2-different items I won for $10.00 each but once they charged the shipping and other fees I could have went to the store and bought them with a return policy. If you can pick the item up it is a big win if you buy cheap. Most of the nice stuff that does ship brings too much money with a no knowlage of how much they will charge to ship. I ship things almost daily so I know how muchit cost they are ripping people off. I am closing my account.I also got my account hacked and I know it was from this place. Stay away you will be better off.Also their shipping is not always the best I received 2-of the items broken.
Horrible customer service and shipping. Many different excuses for bad service. Constantly contacting the company for my order to be shipped with no results. The items shipped are broken.

I recently bid in several auctions with terrible shipping experiences
I recently bid in several auctions with good results,fair pricing, but really poor shipping experiences. One used a secondary shipper that didn't have a good interface so now I find I paid but am not getting the order because the pickup was past due and will lose the funds I paid. I also had one shipping service that charged 10x for shipping the cost of what I purchased and it was packaged terribly. I would say 1 star except I had a few experiences with great communication and good shipping. My advice is be picky ask a ton of questions and if they get annoyed just don't bid!!

I like the app
I like the app. Martini do have a problem with my wins not always showing in my past bids winning list. It has happened about 4 times in the last year. I take pictures of what I win for tax purposes and it easier to show them all . Occasionally I have to search through the whole auction to find the one I won that isn’t showing

Why have a watch list if you can not…
Why have a watch list if you can not bid live from it? when I bid on hibid auction my brother has to help watch on his phone to keep up and not miss a bid. I put my items in the watch list and should be able to bid from there but oh no, I have to go to the main auction where all bids are going on and I am not interested in the other items. Please make it where you bid on items from your watch list and then I only have to watch what I am bidding on. Thank You and hope you make this happen.

Good Centralized Auction Host
Depending on the auction company, some are great at giving accurate descriptions, pointing out any imperfect attributes, and giving multiple pictures. Others provide less information and may provide few pictures where it is difficult to determine the item's condition without physical inspection. The auction process itself is consistently good. Auction pick-up is done outside of HiBid and may have some hiccups, again depending on the auction entity.

Good auction with quality items, slow shipping
I bid on a recent auction. Everything went well. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that it was a shipping only auction. There was no option to pick up my winnings. This costs extra money and I have to wait until Who knows when it will arrive. In fact it still hasn’t arrived.

There were a lot of quality items in the auction and the online bidding was very competitive. I was outbid several times but that is the nature of an auction. I did win four lots and was quite pleased with the outcome. The platform worked smoothly and predictably, which is what you want during an online auction.

Very intuitive and easy to find what you might be looking for or to just browse the different accounts inventory for auction.
The only gripe I’d have is when you find something and register to bid for that particular auction house after the bid it doesn’t let you go back to the auction page right away to continue to browse where you left off easily
