What people say

They are good at first but if you are…

They are good at first but if you are wearing them daily, they don't go the distance of some of the other barefoot shoes. I am getting maybe 2 months out of a pair of these shoes in comparison to 4 out of some of my other shoes. They look good though and I love the brighter colours that I have had to choose from I wouldn't wear them walking - they are better for a gym shoe.

I really like the comfort of the shoes…

I really like the comfort of the shoes and the strap between my toes is strong and hasn;t separated. My one issue is that the straps have slightly stretched and I climb the cliff trail often and its made the sandals a bit too loose. In fact today one fell off my foot climbing up.

Their website is good

Their website is good, it is easy to order their shoes, and their shoes are nice. The ones I ordered were too large, so I had to return them. The return process was not as easy and convenient as other merchants. Instead of doing it all quickly and easily on their website, I had to email them to tell them I had a return. Then they had to email me the address to return to. I had to create my own label and pay for it myself. Not the most customer-friendly approach.

Bunion Bliss

I am in my 60s with a bunion that smashes my pinky toe. The bunion doesn't bother me, but the corn building on the pinky is excruciating. I bought $180 Hodas, under my podiatrist's advice and they did not help. I learned that Wide Toe Box were the magic words. After searching for this, I decided that Hobibear was the lightest and most affordable. Besides the name was cute. Plus at least you had size 14. I was initially skeptical they would fit me, looking so small and feeling so tight, but even with the insoles replaced with orthopedics, I was eventually able to relax into them. The true test was my 12-hour shift as a cook. For the first time, I had no pain in my pinky. My other foot was more uncomfortable than the one with the bunion. I am so relieved. If I bought them again I would get a larger size if that was possible. I would suggest a higher Backstay and the added safety of a safer tread that won't slip on wet tile. And maybe one with no laces for us fat old people. Thank!
