If you're experiencing issues, it’s possible you were working with a small number of native PowerPoint charts, which unfortunately aren’t editable in Google Slides due to software limitations. This is outside of our control and affects less than 1% of our content. Our team has thoroughly investigated the issue, and we found that the slowdown is caused by a third-party add-on running in PowerPoint on your Mac. Disabling the add-on should resolve the problem. Our templates are designed and tested on both Mac and Windows, and we have thousands of Mac users who use them without any issues.
