The only thing I'm not very happy about…

The only thing I'm not very happy about is the review system how you can't really find out or appeal a review. My 1st job I went to at front wave arena I worked over night and stayed late because I was asked. I believe I was mistaken for a different person because I got a 1 star which has effectted me ever since with no way to plea my case. I was told how I worked so hard showed up early left late and poured sweat the whole time. Not even sure who rated me which is messed up I thought. That part needs to be better and over seen because I lost allot of jobs because of it! Never had another one only compliments.

The work experience is really amazing…

The work experience is really amazing as I got to connect with so many like minded professionals. I am grateful for the Instawork platform bringing us the opportunity but would like to inform that the pay they give is very less. It is kind of exploitation of the labour. Also, there is no way to connect to the customer service for instant help. Its been four days and I havent got any help on my shift that I worked on 10th July, 2026. Besides this they kept my so many positions under review since ages and haven’t got back to me nor I am able to pick those shifts if my friends share it with me. This is pathetic to be honest.

The app gets better and better!

I'm really enjoying this app this platform. The different opportunities the insta work gives has been life-changing to be able to select shifts and successfully succeed. That in itself is so gratifying. Plus Great hourly pay. If you have issues the platform quickly assesses and helps get everything corrected. I'm realizing it has so much more to offer than I have not even got to utilize yet. But I'm looking forward to doing so. Thank you again Instawork for all of the above and more.

Unpaid wages for completed shifts

Unpaid wages for completed shifts — support goes in circles Worked three shifts through Instawork (event server, Deloitte Vancouver via Sodexo) on May 20, 21, and 28, 2026 — total $558.44. The app marks all three as “paid,” but no funds ever arrived in my bank account. Over several weeks of contacting support, I was given at least three different explanations: payment “processed via ADP” on two separate dates, and a payment supposedly “issued via cheque.” None of it showed up, confirmed by my bank statement. Tickets were repeatedly closed and reopened by different agents with no resolution. A formal written demand for payment sent June 22 went unanswered past its deadline. I’ve now filed with the BC Employment Standards Branch and the Civil Resolution Tribunal. If you’re considering gig work through this platform, be aware payment issues appear to be a recurring problem, not a one-off.

I still have not received my pay from…

I still have not received my pay from the first 3 shifts I worked! Horrible business this app is horrible because one wrong move and you blocked but I’ve been working and have not gotten paid. I’ve reached out to support 3 times still no help. They even say they have no record. Good thing I screenshot because I want my money I worked for. I will not be recommending this app to anyone ever. People work to get paid not for free.

Only 2 things I would say needs improvement

I like it very much I think they could have more regular shifts there was like a few weeks where nothing was available and also the last 3 shifts I worked there was no one there and the app I messaged and they had me sir there 3 or 4 hours the first time 7 the second time today I left at hour 3 before today when I would message somebody on the app I had responses back very close to immediately today after they assigned me someone they sent me one message and told me I was clocked in and then they never responded to me again and I texted like at least 10 or 15 times and it did not get not one response back and that was super very frustrating

The experience of working my own shift…

The experience of working my own schedules don't have someone with a giant ego (manager, supervisor) harassing me on the job. The hours are great and not having to be in the same job daily and I'm able to go to all my doctors appointments without having to ask for a day off or leaving the job site.
