What people say

Great experience

I had used Kiavi before through a mortgage broker but never directly. I was a little nervous taking on the task alone but Clay Johnson and Dane Baase made the process very simple and easy. Communication was great and we got a deal done and closed in about 3 weeks. Would highly recommend both of these guys and Kiavi.

Please be leery of evaluations when…

Please be leery of evaluations when refinancing. The initial ARV that Kiavi agree doesn't equate to being close to the appraise or market value. Once you purchase the property and complete the rehab you would think that your property would meet market expectations because of due diligence. The appraiser used properties that were not good comparables even when I disputed and found better comparables Kiavi used the lower comparables. The comparables that I introduced met appraisal standard even when two of the comparables that were used by the appraiser should not have been used. Kiavi uses 75% LTV with a good credit score, the appraisal effects it greatly. I am an experienced investor; you may want to consider using this company with fix n flip and not refinance. They do third party financing and not in house, so that will also affect your deals.

I’ve had a great experience working with Valeria Merlos at Kiavi. She has been responsive, professional, and clear in her communication throughout the process. Any questions I had were addressed promptly, and she helped ensure everything moved forward smoothly. I appreciate her support and look forward to continuing to work together on future projects.

Great experience

I want to give a huge thank you to Alexandra Caddo at Kiavi. I truly feel blessed that she reached out to me last year and stayed in touch. At the time, I was comfortable using my own cash for fix-and-flip deals and wasn’t ready to use hard money. However, Alexandra consistently followed up and educated me on how using Kiavi could help me scale and take on more deals. This year, I found myself low on cash while working on multiple projects, and I came across another great deal with strong profit potential. The first person that came to mind was Alexandra. I called her immediately, and she answered within seconds. She guided me through the entire process, made everything simple, and helped me secure a bridge loan. I’m extremely happy with the experience and grateful for her professionalism, persistence, and support. Alexandra truly cares about helping investors grow. Thank you so much, Alex!

All KIAVI employees the one involve for…

All KIAVI employees the one involve for this loan they are very professional and how to handle the customer service plus to finish the loan on time everything is very good I have a plan to keep working with your company but. I know I have very excellent credit score with work experience but the one you give me interest rate is very very high (11.5) and I accepted because I don't have time to find another lender at the last minute and the origination fee is 2% that is too much from the all amount of the loan anyway maybe this is my 1st time loan with you but for the next time when I have good relations (reputation) you are gone give me a bater rate except that everything is very good thank you so much

I was very worried about no confirmatition of my closing date.

Toward the end of January of this year I got my second loan from Kiavi. I had a great experience last year working with Hailee Beilber ( l call her my point of contact) and Stephanie Durfee my (loan analyst) Both ladies made teamwork seem effortless. They communicated via phone; text; and email - very convenient in my opinion. This year I had the pleasure of having Hailee again and Clay Johnson as my account manager. I got introduced to Clay when l had an issue finding out when my closing date would be. It had been scheduled for the 27th but it was the 26th and l have no confirmation about closing. Hailee was out on temporary leave. Later, l found out that she had left me a recording indicating a point of contact. I left Clay a voice message and l immediately received a text stating that he was on a call and that he'd call me right back. He kept his promise and within two minutes l received a call. I explained my concern and he assured me that he'd get to the bottom of things. In less than twenty minutes, Clay called to say that underwriting was finalizing the closing documents. He suggested that l call or text him if l had any more concerns regarding the loan. ( my preference exactly) That got me a bit less worried and more comfortable because l didn't have to wait on emails that took hours or sometimes days for a response. He also updated me every time he checked and got information from underwriting. Finally on the 27th Clay texted to say that closing on my loan will be taking place the 28th ( the next day) Thanks Clay.

Kenton and his team were great to work…

Kenton and his team were great to work with. When they said how simple the process would be, I was skeptical, but though, what the heck, And it turned out, it was! I own The Johnson Team and we've helped around 3800 people close on homes, so we've seen a lot of loans. These guys were top notch and I plan to continue using them.

Absolutely the worst lender I've ever…

Absolutely the worst lender I've ever dealt with. Deal dragged on for over 3 months due to the customer rep going on vacation for 3 weeks and their appraiser 45 days do his job. Made changes in insurance to conform, filled out tons of paperwork, got the title company ready to close, only to have their underwriter reject the appraisal ON THE DAY BEFORE CLOSING, for an apprasial they have had for 2 months. Wasted everyone's time and money, just very unprofessional behavior. The reps were extremely disinterested since they are just mechanical processers and not relationship people. No way to talk to anyone aside your direct rep.
