I was actually happy with Kickoff’s…

I was actually happy with Kickoff’s credit support service and had decided to resubscribe at the monthly rate of about $35. Unfortunately, during the signup process, I accidentally selected the annual “pay in full” option instead. There was apparently a roughly $39 discount for paying for the entire year upfront, but I had absolutely no interest in saving $39 by locking myself into a full-year payment. It was simply an accidental selection. I assumed this would be an incredibly easy customer service issue to fix: refund the accidental annual charge and put me back on the monthly plan I intended to purchase. Apparently not. Getting through to customer support took far too long, and once I finally reached someone, the conversation was unnecessarily confusing and frustrating. The representative seemed to have difficulty clearly explaining what could and could not be done. Instead of giving me a straightforward answer, I felt like I was getting a long, convoluted explanation until I eventually had to summarize the situation myself and ask him to confirm whether I understood it correctly. The answer was basically this: Kickoff could not simply reverse the accidental annual purchase and place me back on the $35 monthly subscription. In order to get the annual payment refunded, I had to cancel the service entirely. Think about how absurd that is. I was literally telling the company, “I want to remain your customer. I want your service. I am willing to continue paying you $35 every month. I just accidentally selected the annual payment option.” Their solution was essentially: cancel your account and take your money back. So instead of correcting a simple billing mistake and keeping a paying customer, Kickoff’s policies apparently make more sense to them if they refund the entire annual payment and lose the customer altogether, all over a roughly $39 annual-payment discount that I never wanted in the first place. That is one of the most bizarre examples of penny-wise, pound-foolish customer service I have encountered. The frustrating part is that I actually thought the service itself was pretty good and worth the monthly price. This review isn’t coming from someone who hated the product. It’s coming from someone who WANTED TO KEEP PAYING FOR IT and was effectively pushed into canceling because the company apparently lacks the ability, flexibility, or willingness to correct an extremely simple accidental billing selection. A customer should not have to choose between accepting an unintended annual charge or canceling their account entirely. Kickoff managed to turn what should have been a two-minute billing correction into the loss of a satisfied, paying customer. For a company in the financial and credit space, you would expect its billing practices and customer service procedures to be considerably more competent than this.

Sent email for autorenewal I never saw it. Once the initial account balance, why would I renew? I never receive a dime, but you want me to pay 420.00, This is a scam, a total scam. So consumers, read the fine print before you dive into this preditory scam.

Kikoff will lower your credit!

Don’t sign up for Kikoff unless you want to lower your Credit Score! If you decide to stop using them you cannot. And if you try and write them to cancel they won’t help you. It will make your credit worse then before. If I could give them a Negative 5 I would! Not worth the headache!!!

Horrible experience w/kickoff

Horrible experience w/kickoff. it upgraded my plan without consent to the highest plan then when I tried to cancel after seeing the $35 withdraw on my acct, they said that they would not refund it even though that $35 plan didn't start for another 5 days. They could care less and I would NOT give them access to your bank account

We're truly sorry to hear about your experience, but we're here to help! It's possible you upgraded through the account tab, Kikoff Store, or a feature flow in the app that is exclusive to higher tiers. If you would like to downgrade, you can do so in your Credit Account tab. Please note that you must make at least one payment after upgrading before you can downgrade and that once you downgrade, you will lose access to higher-tier features immediately. For further assistance, you can call us at 1 (844) 741-9292 or visit http://kikoff.com/link/get-help.

Run fast away 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️if you closed the kickoff account, they will report it paid/closed on a high credit line, which will harm your credit report immediately! Receiving a card and using the kick app is a lie and a scam! I haven't received anything from kickoff! The score kickoff will have on their app for you, won't be the same as other major companies will have for you! Which is useless!

We're sorry to hear about your experience, but we'd love to clear things up! Depending on where you are with your credit journey, sometimes closing an account may have a negative impact on your overall credit score. This is because your credit score takes into account your total available credit and your utilization. Closing a credit line can also lower the average age of accounts on your report. Additionally, we want to emphasize that Kikoff is designed to assist in building credit over time. It's not a traditional loan or card. For further assistance, you can call us at 1 (844) 741-9292 or visit http://kikoff.com/link/get-help.

I have nothing bad to say.

I have nothing bad to say. I discovered Kikoff from a YouTuber I watch often. They got a sponsor deal and were promoting the company. I was at a 507ish score at the time, and had nothing to loose obviously, so I said F it, and signed up... That was probably top 3 best decisions I've ever made, no joke. They got me from 507ish to 630, to 720 within a year! No missed payments of course. I still am baffled, and can't believe it. I struggled for YEARS just to get anyone to approve me, for ANYTHING, and it never happened until Kikoff. I am incredibly grateful for this program; they truly saved my a**. If you make enough money, and your score is low low like mine, just do it. Don't miss a payment. This will work.

They Are Phonies& Frauds

I was pleased with kickoff until I failed behind in my monthly subscription payment. I paid them July 5, 2026 in full now there saying it may take 60days before it show up on my credit. It is reflecting unpaid on my credit report🤦 and they have gotten their money for that invisible credit card. I wouldn't recommend increasing your credit limit stay on the $5 subscription. They wanted it, to go into collection. So they are penalizing me for it not going. They have made thousands of dollars behind the scenes with the government. With that JHR 192.. Dirty bastards.

Didn't report 4(!) of the accounts as closed for years. Declined to delete my account

1) They didn't report 4(!) of my accounts with them as closed to Equifax, one of the accounts for over 2 years. Basically tanked my credit score for no reason. I emailed Kikoff about the problem but they denied it. I've had to open a dispute through Equifax because of the Kikoff's lack of responsibility. The worst support in the business. 2) Their customer support openly and repeatedly declined to delete my login account with them. It took me several days, 5 chats and 6 email threads before I asked for a supervisor who were able to finally deactivate my login account on the spot. The worst support in the business. /// I would strongly advise against doing any business with them.

Kickoff destroyed my credit score…

Kickoff destroyed my credit score instead of helping it. In my experience, this company did not deliver on its promises. They took my money, and I never got it back. The claims that using their service will improve your credit score were not true in my case. I've also learned that there is currently a lawsuit involving the company, which only adds to my concerns. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using Kickoff. They will take your money!

We're truly sorry to hear about your experience, but we're here to help! In the Credit Score tab of your Kikoff app, you’ll see your Credit Factors. This tab shows which areas are helping your score and which ones may be lowering it. Strong on-time payments, older credit age, low credit usage, and a good credit mix help improve your score. However, derogatory marks, high usage, or too many hard inquiries can lower it. We want to emphasize that Kikoff is actively helping support your credit by reporting positive on-time payment(s), adding to your credit mix, and lowering your card usage! For further assistance, you may call us at 1 (844) 741-9292 or visit http://kikoff.com/link/get-help.

Scammers, they say your credit score is lower than what it really is and then take credit for bumping it up to what it really was to begin with

I went into the bank and got my credit score while doing my financial stuff. I was a couple points, shy of getting alone. I signed up for kickoff because it’s advertised that you can be bumped up by 40 to 60 points. When I signed up for kickoff, it told me that my credit score beginning was 45 points less than what the bank just told me my credit score was. So now if they bought me up 45 points. I will be at my accurate number and they can take credit for bumping me up. That’s a scam. Do not use kickoff. I called them to cancel my account and to find out why that was and they had four or five different reasons why that was none of them making any sense. Every time he gave me a reason and I told him why that doesn’t make sense. He gave me a new reason. This company is a complete scam.

We regret to hear about your concerns and would like to address them. There are many different credit scoring models that lenders use to measure your creditworthiness. Kikoff provides your VantageScore 3.0, while other bureaus or lenders may use FICO to calculate your score. Healthy credit habits with Kikoff can help improve your FICO Score as well!Since these scoring models use different calculations, your credit scores may look slightly different. The information Kikoff reports to the bureaus is the same. You actually have more than one credit score, and consistent positive activity with Kikoff can positively impact all scoring models over time!
