Worst serpentine system on the market

Right out of the box, the alternator bearing was bad. A brand new engine that needed a break in period and to be shut down because the alternator was smoking and so hot you could not touch it. Summit racing sent me a new alternator. Once I began driving this vehicle, the power steering pump would whine once the engine got warmed up. I have now been through not two, but three power steering pumps from March performance. I am now on the fourth one from a different manufacturer, and it operates as it should. Furthermore, I am installing a vintage air system on the same vehicle now. So, I finally took the bolts out of the block off plate in the AC compressor. The bolts and the holes were completely rusted. As if this wasn't enough, I had to finagle the power steering pump brackets that came with the kit to make the power steering pump pulley align with the rest. The entire reason I purchased this kit was not to have alignment issues with the common v belt system. To say this is a terrible product would be the understatement of the century. Not to mention, when I tried to get March performance on the phone, I never could get to an actual person. I had to rely on summit racing customer service, which is excellent by the way, to send me new parts. I would never recommend March performance to anyone nor will I ever be purchasing a product from them again. For the price of nearly $2,000, one would assume better quality would be in order.

your tech support folks need improvement. this kit was a disaster from the word go. it cost me more in extra stuff than the overpriced kit. the belt didn't fit..the ac pulley hit the hood, and i have a raised hood. the adjuster that goes across the top didn't fit..too long. the ac trim piece sticks up higher that the pulley?? had to have it machined down and grind hood to clear ac pulley. i would never recommend this kit to anyone. the kit is stupid..moving everything back accomplishes nothing, imho. it should have been designed for a stock motor, using stock accessories.

The people were knowledgeable about what I needed. I had a question they gave me an answer. Instructions would help very much but I got though it i had to try to find a picture on your web site that was close to what I had. It does look good though.

I contacted march as I wanted add power steering

I contacted march as I wanted to install power steering on my 1966 Chevelle which already had march pulleys and brackets for a non power steering set up. Once I was in contact with a March Tech he provided a complete list of what I needed. The installation was flawless.

First off the product that they sell is really good quality. Everything fits like it is supposed to. And it looks great on the vehicle. Next their customer service was very helpful. I highly recommend this company and their products.

TRASH ALTERNATOR! TRASH MARCH CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! alternator lasted only a year, and it stop charging. march customer service told me alternator only had a 1-year warranty which was a F LIE!!!!!

The air conditioning bracket parts did not fit

I purchased an air conditioning bracket mount to fit a short pump small block Chevy engine. The spacer included with the kit did not fit inside the bracket. I had to modify the spacer. After modifying the spacer. The kit was not returnable to March even though the bracket did not fit the small block Chevy engine I had ordered it for. I have the bracket in a box setting inside my garage and it has been a complete waste of money. I purchased a much less expensive kit from Alan Grove and it worked just fine and all the parts fit together like they should.

Bought twoAC compressors and the both squeeked! Your website has no instructions to refer to of how to properly install and charge compressors. Very dissatisfied.

We ordered an alternator

We ordered an alternator. Long story short, it’s been replaced by March for warranty 3 times. The second time, they threw one in a box with a plastic bag and it arrived bent and banged up. It took 4 damn weeks to get someone to contact us back. They sent another. And guess what? It was overcharging and caused electrical damage that we now have to trace. We also had to pay a local company to rebuild it because the one they sent us was faulty. I’m absolutely convinced that they have a storeroom of returns that they just resend out as “warranties”. Naturally, we have emailed and called and they don’t return the calls or email back. So now we paid for the “new alternator” to be rebuilt and we also get to trace an issue their faulty product caused. Absolutely awful experiences from this joke of a company. Luckily we are heavily into the car industry and community and will definitely steer people away from March. Update-March responded 2 months later. You were in contact with my husband and while you offered some help, I personally am not satisfied. We have since discovered that the entire speaker system is fried. Which is on our dollar. And it was custom. Apparently those he spoke with don’t know the difference between voltage and amperage. This has been an ongoing issue for several months and at this point, I just don’t trust the products you sell.
