HORRIBLE - Mixbook printed a true "mixbook"

Mixbook printed a true "mixbook". After spending hours making a 90 page book, they printed the first 11 pages of my book and mixed in another families beach vacation into my book. Took no accountability. Paid for rush shipping as the book was needed for a specific date/celebration and now I will not have the product I ordered. No urgency to correct the issue and customer service is AI based and overseas, no actual person to speak with over the phone to resolve the issues. If i could give them negative stars I would.

Top Quality Books You Create Yourself

This is the 2nd book I’ve done through Mixbook. The first was 20 pages and this last one was 60! The program is easy to use, if you have some computer experience, and the final product is amazing! Very high quality, quick turn around and well worth the money.

Think twice

This book is not a Quality book and it is very overpriced. This is my first book with this company and it will be my last. It does not tell you how much each additional page is until you’re ready to buy the book. I believe it was $2.16 for each additional PAGE and I thought I was getting 50% off, but it doesn’t tell you your percentage off until the book is made. (Sales say up to 50%) I spent so much time making the book, I paid for the book even though it was, with a discount almost $150 for an 80 page book. Which still is a thin book. I have used another company and now I know I will go back to that other company. I thought I would try something new reading the good reviews on Mixbook, but I am Very disappointed. It has nice colored pages, but thin. It is barely glued together, hope it stays together, and the cover is Cheap Quality I only gave them an extra star because their app was quite easy and easy to maneuver when making a book. Hope this helps someone. I feel ripped off.

Easy and quick

Standard photo book design and print quality review

I chose Mixbook for the value they offer. I designed and ordered one standard hardback book. The photographs I used were taken by a professional photographer. The design software offered a lot of choices for automatic placement on the page, backgrounds, etc. However, I wanted to manually arrange photos and text on a plain white background. I could not find an option for adding a grid to the page background while arranging photos/text, which made it very difficult to space things evenly. The preview option helped when I'd finished the design process - it's easy to preview the book before sending to print. All of my design work was saved from day to day as I worked on the book design. Ordering the book was straightforward with pricing shown before placing the order. Coupons available at the time that I ordered were about 50% off. Shipping costs seemed comparable to other photo book websites. The book arrived in great packaging - no bumped edges or corners on the book. The quality of the printed photo book was very nice. The standard hardback version has thick interior paper and a good quality of photo printing with a nice sheen. The spine interior had a few spaces where the pages are glued, which does bring into question the longevity of the page attachment. I was pleased enough to order a second copy of the book and successfully made a few edits to my design before ordering. The quality of the second book was exactly the same as the first. Mixbook offers a wide variety of printed products.

I like the ease of building a photo album with the user interface. Very intuitive tools. The phot quality is top notch, and so is the book.

The value is not there

The value is not there. The quality of photos was not worth the high price. MPIX will get my next order.

I love Mixbook. Their application is easy to use. The books are beautiful and if there is a problem, their customer service is great. When they say they want you to be 100%happy, they mean it.

The end result is wonderful

The end result is wonderful. But navigating is a bit tedious especially adding/editing text.

Two Keepsake Boxes, Both Too Small — 12x12 Layflat Frustration

I spent HOURS upon HOURS creating a 12x12 layflat book — carefully choosing every photo, adjusting every detail, and making sure it was perfect because it’s a birthday gift. For the amount of money I spent, and the level of detail that went into this project, I expected at the very least a keepsake box that actually protects it. The book arrived in a ripped box. Not dented — ripped. I contacted customer service, sent photos, explained the issue, and they sent a replacement. The replacement box arrived today and it is the exact same size as the damaged one. It’s still too small for the book. I sent more photos, explained everything clearly, and asked for a manager. Customer service acknowledged the photos… and then stopped responding. Completely. I sat there waiting, saying “Hello?” and asking again for a manager, and got nothing. This is supposed to be a birthday gift, and the experience has been the opposite of “happiness guaranteed.” On top of that, you can’t even change the font size on the spine, which is ridiculous for a premium book. After all the time, effort, and money I put into this 12x12 layflat, the fact that the box doesn’t fit — twice — is unacceptable. If you’re going to charge premium prices, at least provide a box that actually protects the product. After this experience, my next layflat will be done with Shutterfly.

It was even better than I hoped!! Made a great gift and I will be doing this again! Easy to navigate and made me look like I am a photographer!
