Duplication feature makes it hard now! 2026
Mixbook has been my go-to for years but I am struggling with it the past two photos books, mainly because all my photos now Duplicate. You can turn the Duplication feature off but it doesn't stay Off. When I return to the book a few days later, the pics are back. I have accidentally reused photos because they showed up again...but nope, it was the second copy. So then I have to delete and rearrange again. This started in the Fall 2025 and is still doing it in April 2026. Customer Service tries to help but ultimately it seems this is a just a bad update to their website. I will finish my current book but it has taken me twice as long since I kept thinking it was user error that I added photos twice, etc. Might try Printique next.
I did a "trial switch" from another photo book company to Mixbook, and found Mixbook's photo reproduction to be superior. The quality of paper is also better and more pleasing to the touch. Mixbook also enables a modest amount of photo editing within their program and allows you to invite others to edit the photo book. My only disappointment is that I wish they had a very thin line with which to frame photos. Their thinnest frame is too thick for my taste. Mixbook is also somewhat more expensive than the other company, but I think it's worth it.
I’m so happy with my purchase!
I waited more than a week but it was worth it. Highly recommend it!

The quality is just not there anymore...
I've used Mixbook many times over the years mostly for greeting cards and photo books. Mixbook service and quality was always good. Until recently. Something has changed at Mixbook. My last order was in November 2025 for photo books to be given as Christmas gifts. With the exception of some edits, the book was basically a reprint. All the copies I received had printing issues. (Pages stuck together, pages printed on an angle, ink spots etc.)They did make good. Three times. The third make good was better than the first two but quality was not to Mixbook's standards that I expected. That's too bad. I liked Mixbook. Their prices have increased by perhaps 50% in recent years making them expensive but I don't mind paying for quality and the quality is just not there anymore.
I am absolutely stunned. I’ve made many photo books over the years with different companies, and it’s usually as desirable as dental surgery—frustrating and time-consuming. Mixbook changed everything! The software is intuitive and seamless, but the real magic was the team. Iris and the printing team went above and beyond to get my order to me in just three days, right in time for our team wind-up. The human touch and expertise here are irreplaceable. Stunning product, even better service. Customer for life!
Love Mix books. You can create all kinds of beautiful albums. The quality is great! They make great gifts!

Beware: Mixed-upBook fails to deliver multiple versions.
I used Mixed-upBook for a vacation album that I intended to personalize for each recipient. However, the autosave function apparently does not save continuously, and I received 9 versions of the same book, not individualized ones. Mixed-upBook tried to correct the mistake--first by offering me the same discount that anyone can access on the web, then by requiring me to re-do each one, and with each reprinting, contact them via chatbot to request printing, and wait 24 hours between requests. It took literally hours of my time, and with one of the books they still got it wrong the second time around. I finally gave up, and went back to Shutterfly, which gave me a product of the same quality, for less money, without screwing it up.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I can understand how frustrating and disappointing it must have been to spend so much time creating personalized albums, only to receive incorrect copies and then face such a lengthy process to try to resolve it.
You put a lot of effort into making these books special for each recipient, so it’s completely understandable that this experience left you feeling let down. Having to redo the work yourself and repeatedly follow up for reprints is not the experience we want for our customers.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback. Concerns like yours are taken seriously, and we’ll use your experience to help improve both our product and support process moving forward.

Metal prints - proceed with caution
Very happy with my photo book and the fast shipping but the metal print that was suggested to me at checkout as an add-on was a huge disappointment. Image is not crisp and I do not recommend this specific product based on my experience.

Price gouging galore
Price gouging galore. My sister created a book of photographs of our deceased father, but Mixbook wouldn't honour their own coupon code and insisted on trying to charge $400 per copy. Avoid these heartless thieves.

Thank you for sharing this. Creating a memorial book for your father should have been a meaningful experience, and it’s understandable how upsetting the pricing issue was, especially in such a sensitive situation.
We appreciate your feedback and will use your experience to help improve both our pricing transparency and overall support.
First time I used this company i was impressed but used them this time and a huge order to create a photo album. I marked matte finish. Received a album with pictures on mounted on cardboard pages. Horrible pages really cheap!!!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I understand how disappointing it must have been to place a large order expecting the matte finish you selected, only to receive an album that felt far below your expectations.
After trusting us again based on your first positive experience, it’s completely understandable to feel let down by the final product. We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, and we’ll use your experience to help improve both our product quality and overall customer experience. If you’re open to it, please reach out to us at Mixbook through chat or email so we can look into this further and provide additional support.

Beware! They Delete Your Books
Didn’t have any issues with the quality of the books I created. My issue is that 18 months later when I went back to order more copies (because the book this is regarding was an In Memory Of book) Mixbook had deleted all books from my account. Why? And why was I not given any warning? All that work…gone. All the family history…gone. This is not an issue with other photo book companies. They keep your books forever. Thanks a lot Mixbook.

Serious Quality Control Issues
Mixbook was laughably bad. The actual website and user interface is elite and so easy to use and create a photo book, but the printing and customer service was a nightmare. My book was sent with entire blank pages and random missing photos on random pages. Mixbook quickly reprinted it again.. and again and again!! 4 times and every time the book has issues of missing photos. It was a special book for a special day to have party guests sign and write well wishes and they couldn’t even get it right by the party. The last 2 times they assured me too that it was be looked over to ensure it was printed correctly before shipped. Nope, never was. I got my money back and I’ll find a more reputable company to use next time.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating and disappointing it must have been to go through multiple reprints, only to keep receiving books with missing photos and blank pages.
This was clearly a meaningful project for a special occasion, and it’s understandable that missing that moment made the experience even more upsetting. After the time and effort you put into creating the book, repeated issues and unmet assurances would leave anyone feeling let down.
We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, and we’ll use your experience to help improve both our print quality and support process moving forward.
Customer service is beyond outstanding!! I made a mistake uploading poor quality photos and when I questioned the quality of my third book- expressing my disappointment, mixbook was patient and forgiving, directing me to where I should have checked for the quality of my photos before submitting, and then allowing me to redo the entire project at no extra cost! I really appreciate this and will return one day for my 4th book!

(Like they really need another glowing…
(Like they really need another glowing review) but that's what this one will be. I ordered a MAGAZINE style with 76 pages. I'm in the USA. It arrived 2 days before they promised and wasn't sure if the photos off my cell would be clear if I enlarged them "FULL PAGE". I am ECSTATIC at the QUALITY of my magazine book and how it looks overall. Enlarged photos were not blurred. I will definitely be ordering again. Basically, it was better than I expected!!
I ordered a custom photo book through Mixbook and paid for expedited shipping so it would arrive before my grandson moved across the country, because the timing of this gift mattered a great deal to me.
Unfortunately, it did not arrive by the promised delivery date, and my grandson moved.
After the original delivery failed, I spent significant time following up with customer service, tracking shipments, and waiting through multiple “please wait a few more days” requests. Mixbook offered a reprint and shipped it to the new address. That shipment was marked as delivered by UPS, even though the recipient never received it, and there was no photo or specific address confirmation attached to the delivery notice.
At this point, both orders had effectively been lost, and my grandson still had not received this promised gift.
I spent additional time following up with customer service, seeking the promised delivery proof, and waiting through more “please wait a few more days” requests.
Meanwhile, the original shipment eventually appeared at my home in a badly damaged box, confirming that the initial delivery had clearly gone wrong.
Mixbook then offered a third reprint, again to be sent to my grandson’s new address. They also offered a 25% discount on a future order as compensation. Given the amount of time, effort, and energy already spent trying to resolve the situation, I declined and explained that the only way I would consider using Mixbook again would be if the current order was fully refunded. After additional conversations, Mixbook agreed to order yet another reprint and provide a 25% refund on the current order.
At each juncture, Mixbook promised to follow up with me. However, that never happened. Each time, after the waiting deadline had passed, I had to reach out again myself.
The finished book itself is meaningful because of the design I created and the photos I uploaded, and it will be something my family treasures. However, the number of delivery failures and the amount of time I have spent following up made this far more stressful than it should have been.
Customers should not have to repeatedly chase updates to receive a product they already paid for—especially when expedited shipping was purchased.
I hope Mixbook improves their order tracking and resolution process so other customers do not have to invest the same level of time and persistence to get an issue resolved.
Never even seen my photo book, they use Canada post as a delivery service but do not deliver to a P.O. Box so if you are in a small town or rural there is no way of getting your order, the refund process is drawn out with nothing but excuses
