I’ve been using money lion on and off…

I’ve been using money lion on and off for 3 years or so now. They always come in handy with their insta-cash borrowing feature but the thing that’s silly is that they sometimes ask for tips on sending the money. That’s okay with me as long as u don’t have to tip every time but one time I did a double tip by accident and sent them 5$ 2x (initial tip and “can you leave a tip” pop up)….anyways, MoneyLion is easy to use and does help in a pinch and offers okay rates for borrowing short term cash. They also have ways to make money through games etc. thank you money lion you’re all right with me. Have a great dayz

Money Lion has provided a financial bridge.

I was apprehensive at first. I’m 63’ kind of between progressive with online Old School with banking. I’ve been pleasantly surprised, Money Lion has helped me many times. With Loans, Advances, provided key financial information. Was so impressed I moved all primary banking & deposits to Money Lion. The Customer Service has been awesome, Credit Builder Accr. Investing, even the games online. Plus third party partners providing larger loans, and great information to financial solvency & being comfortable in trusting Banks again. Personally, it’s been amazing so far. I’ve been challenged with health concerns. If it wasn’t for their help I don’t where I would be financial would made it even tougher on a fixed income. Thanks Money Lion, they really do Care.

⭐️ 1-Star Review | Warning About Misleading Loan Practices I want to warn anyone considering doing business with this company. Their practices are extremely misleading and, in my experience, feel completely deceptive. They claimed I was approved for a $1,000 loan, but only disbursed $100 of that amount. What makes this worse is that it was clearly stated that once the loan is paid off, I could access the reserve funds. Like most people, I understood that to mean once I paid back the $100 I actually received, I would then be able to access the remaining balance. No reasonable person would interpret that as having to pay back the entire $1,000 — including the $900 that was never even disbursed. Instead, I was told I must repay the full $1,000 loan amount before gaining access to the remaining funds. That means paying back money I never even touched just to unlock what I was supposedly already approved for. That is incredibly misleading and unacceptable. On top of that, the staff is very unprofessional. There is a serious lack of transparency, poor communication, and no accountability for the confusing and misleading information provided. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I strongly encourage others to be very cautious and fully understand the terms before agreeing to anything with this company.

The MoneyLion app is a fantastic tool for for credit building, banking, and instant help when you need it. Very easy to use and sign up for. It also has fun ways to earn more. 10 out 10. Would highly recommend.

Money lion is shady

Money lion is shady. I paid off a credit builder loan early and I did this last month. I have been asking for a payoff statement as I am buying a house and need it to reflect my zero balance. I've called repeatedly I keep getting in 2 business days we can email you. Well it's been a month. They also reported a 483.00 balance to the credit bureaus weeks after it was paid off. I filed a credit dispute and can you believe they have not responded to that either. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy as this point. They said it would be reported paid off the 14th of April. Instead they reported a balance.

100% horrible company

100% horrible company. You still end up liking them when I ended up working at Walmart. Utilize them a couple of times when to utilize them again and now that I don't remember the email and it's been 14 years. They want you to try to remember a phone number that you had 14 years ago, which I have gone through many and yet I'm receiving emails from them in one email but yet that email address is not linked to any account in their database and they won't let you fix it without verifying phone number that you ended up using when you had the account. So now it's impossible for me to end up utilizing them again unless I somehow remember a phone number that I ended up having 14 plus years ago

Flaw/Complaint

My experience with MoneyLion so far has been good. The only complaint I have is I have more than one account and this other account I use I can't link it up to MoneyLion. The banking institutions MoneyLion uses doesn't use the bank my other account uses. That's the only flaw/complaint I honestly have.

This Is Not a Loan — It’s Theft With Paperwork I want to warn every single person reading this — do not go anywhere near MoneyLion. I was browsing their website and without any clear consent I was enrolled in a credit builder loan. I contacted them within minutes. Didn’t matter. They didn’t care. But here’s what really needs to sink in — this “loan” is one of the most absurd financial products I have ever encountered. They take money out of your bank account every week. You never see the loan amount. You never hold it. You never spend it. It never touches your hands. They keep it the entire time — and then they charge you interest and fees on money that was never yours to begin with. Read that again. They are charging you interest on money you don’t have and never received. That is not a loan. That is taking money from someone’s bank account and calling it a financial service. And when I tried to get out of it? An absolute wall of useless customer service. Called, emailed, chatted — over and over. Empty promises every single time. No follow through. No accountability. Nobody did a single thing they said they would do. I’ve been locked out of my own account so I can’t even see what they’re doing with my money. It’s on my credit report now too. The best part? When you do manage to get someone on the phone, they refer to MoneyLion as a “financial institution” with a completely straight face. As if they have any authority or credibility whatsoever. As if they aren’t just taking money out of people’s accounts and dressing it up in financial language. I couldn’t help but laugh. The audacity is genuinely impressive. I have never in my life dealt with a company this deceptive, this predatory, and this completely shameless about it. This isn’t a bad experience — this is a company built around trapping people. Stay away. Warn everyone you know. Stay away.

MoneyLion has one major malfunction…

MoneyLion has one major malfunction that may affect a lot of their business: They do not allow "Prepaid" banking. So, many people have left major banks for prepaid banks such as CashApp, Varo, PayPal, Greendot and so on, that do have FDIC Checking and Savings accounts with routing and account numbers that they get Direct Deposit with. Also if you want to make Roar Money your primary bank you still wouldn't be able to do Instacash or Credit Builder loan because they'll ask you to "Link Your Bank your Paycheck goes to..." but then if you didn't already have an eligible bank account, none of that is available. Now, if MoneyLion wasn't pressed for an OFFICIAL bank such as Wells Fargo or Truist, rhere would probably be a lot more participants.
