What reviewers say

AI generated

Reviewers had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently mention how remarkably simple, smooth, and quick the entire transaction process is, which successfully saves people a lot of valuable time. Consumers genuinely appreciate the professional staff and the fair cash offers consistently provided for their residential properties. Buyers and sellers alike find the digital platform and overall communication extremely convenient from start to finish. However, some reviewers were not happy with significant price drops occurring unexpectedly after the initial property inspection took place. Some people also felt that the associated partner companies and external title services made closing procedures much more difficult than expected.

Cash now more later process was quick…

Cash now more later process was quick and painless. There were not any big surprises. I needed a quick sale to avoid a rent & mortgage payment in uncertain market conditions. This was a stress free solution. It is like the Carmax experience. You may not get the absolute top dollar, but it was not a low-ball offer either. We agreed on their sales price and we share in the profit when it sells.

I am an agent with eXp Realty and…

I am an agent with eXp Realty and referred a seller to Opendoor as she was looking for the convenience of being able to pick a close date to coincide with the purchase of her new home. Opendoor promised 1% of the purchase price for the referral fee paid to eXp. The closing of my client's home and the purchase of her new home all went smoothly. The problem has been this closed almost six weeks ago and Opendoor has not paid the referral to eXp which was promised and agreed to at close. I keep getting the runaround from their full of shit partnerships support group. If they respond at all it is always another deflection. It was overnighted, it's still being processed...All bullshit. They have not paid anything at this point and you can bet your ass I will never ever refer a seller to Opendoor again. What a pain in the ass waste of time this entire experience has been

I had a fairly good experience with Opendoor. I would say my one draw back was the lack of access to an agent. It was difficult to talk with anyone if I had questions or concerns. Everything went very smoothly but it was stressful due to the lack of access to an agent. The title company used was fantastic, Tracy was awesome. Overall, I would recommend Opendoor.

Mostly seamless process

Mostly seamless process, all digital and integrity bound. The only thing I noted is when you first submit your pics for an offer and when your inspection is complete, the system says the process will be complete in two days, but its more like 5-7 business days for each major step. I think if they will fix the app to properly set seller's expectations, that'll cut down on followup inquiries or being left to wonder. All in all, everything else went superbly well!

I'm a first time home seller my…

I'm a first time home seller my previous rental does need to some work I reach out to multiple vendors and real estate agents to gauge my options. Opendoor is the best to do business with ,don't waste your time with like Offerpad, Zillow, Orchard and especially Mark Spain.Opendoor is easy and straight forward .

We needed to sell our house fast so…

We needed to sell our house fast so that is why we chose open door, I WILL NEVER USE OPEN DOOR AGAIN!! They charge up the ASS for their fees, and then more to fix up the house. We went from getting 185,000 to 125,000 for our house after all the fees were taken out. What you could do improve is fire Matt and Jacob, Matt was the worst he lied to us the whole time, he never would return my call and then the only thing he did right which turned out to be wrong was change our move out date to the following weekend with no charge or so he said. He told me that he got the date changed from 05/15/26 to 05/22/26 with no fees, I asked him ok so me move out, close, and submit photos all on 05/22/26 and he said yes. Then I get a text from Jacob with Open door stating that since we did not submit move out photos yesterday 05/21/26 now it was moved to 05/26/26. I tried callling Matt no answer left a vm never returned my and Jacob same thing no answer and left vm and never returned my call to ask them why I was lied to about doing everything on the 22nd, he never mentioned the 21st at all to me. Then they were closed on the weekend and Monday for Memorial day so I was not able to continue to call so after we closed on the house and the long weekend was over, I find out that they charged another 1,106 for the extended late fees that I was promised by Matt that I was not going to be charged. FIRE MATT AND JACOB!!!!!!!! AND CUSTOMERS READING DO NOT GET USE OPEN DOOR THEY TAKE ALL THE MONEY THEY WANT AND THEN LIE TO YOU.

We purchased a home from open door and…

We purchased a home from open door and it was a awful experience. They had purchased the home from the last owner and did just enough cosmetic work to make the house appear as if everything was in good shape. After closing we found bare wires in the attic, that was a fire hazard, the main waste line was cracked and sprinkler system had been patched up so it passed inspection and broke a week after closing. If you find out the house you are looking for is owned by Open Door, run away.

I can not reach ANYONE at Opendoor!!! They failed to fund

I can not reach ANYONE at Opendoor!!! They gave an offer on the house ,contracted, inspected it, set up closing , and when we went to the title company to close , they would not respond to the title company or us. We took the house off the market and quit working on it 30 days ago . We wasted money and time not to mention the time and efforts of the title company. We are bewildered and left blowing in the wind with all the broken promises and contracts. The biggest insult and damage is that we hear ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from Opendoor. Bad . Shameful. And possibly criminal. What a horrible mistake we made!! Do not do the same. Beware
