Power Did Sloppy Work On My Siding

Power did a VISUIALLY beautiful job on my new siding when seen from a distance and the tech, Marcus was prompt and performed his craft with pride. Power representatives taught me a lot about siding and Marcus explained many techniques as he worked. I am so excited about the way my house looks- from a distance, but there was a lot of damage done, wires strewn on the ground, still picking up nails the end of May right through July. There were some issues that needed to be fixed and Power sent a tech out who did a sloppy job of repairing the issues, which is a matter of the worker bringing personal biases, sizing me up and doing work accordingly. I had to call someone else again. This was in April and they made me wait until June to come out to make repairs. Meanwhile, I am paying the bill. Customer service gives cult-like answers and will not let me speak to a manager.. My window screen has holes in it and the tech said nothing, a section of my porch railing was cut out for the tech's convenience and put back in a makeshift manner with drywall screws and plastered with caulking. The top railing was separating from the spokes. My lights do not work in my screen room along with the security light and fan. All of the light outlets were put in upside down and the panel that operates the ceiling fan and lights was also put in upside down. My fireplace vent was completely sealed off; outside vents are there to prevent carbon monoxide from entering the house. My dryer vent was removed and completely sealed off and when Marcus came back to put it back, he put a frame on the outside, but did not put the pipe in or seal the open cavity in my home, which is a fire hazard safety violation that will be reported along with sealing off my fireplace vent. This was a serious safety violation and no one from the office gave a hoot. Now, I cannot hook up a dryer. there are ugly smeared caulking around my windows where they were encased. The outlet caps that I paid an electrician for were taken away and replaced with some cheap covers from Home Depot. They are crooked. and not flush with the wall. The front 2 covers don't even even match. One electrical outlet in the back I cannot open anymore and I paid an electrician for this work. Just the week of May, I discovered a large gap in my screen room big enough for a snake to get through. When the tech leaves a gap, he knows it is there, but his biases kick in and tell him that he can get away with it here and he was justified by every manager that came to my house. Another problem I ran into this week is with my downspout which is leaking and is crookedly attached to the drain pipe. ' I just discovered unfinished siding in the front of my house and there is a crooked J channel over my garage door. the top J channel looks like pagodas because they were sloppily installed. I looked at the caulking around the garage door jambs and it is filthy; this is only 4 months in. It will be super filthy in 4 more months. I paid $800 to have my garage door jambs wrapped in October 2024 and they were perfect and clean because the correct caulking was used. Now Power contractor presented the same problem I got rid of. Power has taken so much from me. They took down my nice gutters that had a lifetime warranty and put some cheap gutters up just to give a contractor some work. Now my pipe is back up that was flowing nicely for the last 26 years. Some of the siding was cut too short and looks like .... My telephone jacks don't work anymore because the installer took the box off of the wall. When I called , I was told that they are told not to take the box off; now my jacks don't work anymore. Both the contractor and helper solicited me for work on day 1. The helper pissed out in my backyard and the F word was flying and I heard it several times and even to my face. At this point I am very disappointed with Power Home Remodeling, their customer service, and lack of care. The managers try to talk away any damage like the hole near the corner of the window J channel. Their slogan is, 'Our Work Shows, but what shows on my house is sloppy, makeshift, careless work. while acting as an employee, the assistant solicited work for his illegal company on day one saying that he works with Power and they funnel work to him for his business building decks..

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience after having my roof, windows, siding, and front door completed by Power Home Remodeling. I recently looked out of my son’s window and noticed what appeared to be numerous nails scattered across the roof. To be clear, I do not know whether there is an actual issue with the roof, whether the nails came loose from something that was installed, or whether a box of nails was accidentally left behind and spilled. That is exactly why I contacted Power. What I do know is that I should not be responsible for inspecting the roof, figuring out where the nails came from, or cleaning them up myself after such a major project. After being disconnected on my first call, it took about 35 minutes to finally reach someone. Unfortunately, the representative showed very little empathy for the situation. I was told that, because I am not currently experiencing leaks or confirmed damage, the next available appointment may not be until October. She said she would leave a note to see if someone could possibly pass by sooner, but there was no real urgency or reassurance. That response is extremely disappointing. I understand emergencies need to be prioritized, but nails left scattered across a roof after a major exterior project should not be treated like a minor inconvenience. At minimum, I expected Power to take ownership, send someone to inspect the situation, determine what happened, and safely remove the nails. After trusting Power with multiple major projects on my home, this has left me very disappointed in the follow-up service and overall accountability.

Service Nightmares

Contracted for windows, gutters, siding & trim - $90,000 in CT. Zero stars - do not recommend. Absolutely NO service after sales unless you spend three months hounding them, hours making several calls per week for the same issue, and no calls returned when messages left. They refused to address service requests because 'their crew wasn't in the area.' Nowhere in the contract I signed does it say that service is predicated upon a crew being in the area.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We used them several years ago and spent a ton of money to have the whole house sided and all new windows. All of these things were sold under the pretense that there is a lifetime warranty. Well - now three of my windows have broken their seal so I called to get them replaced and was told "oh we don't use that window company anymore, so you're warranty is void" - no where does it state that when you sign up with them. They will sell you a dream and leave you hanging. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE! Overpriced crooks!

Extremely aggressive sales tactics left a bad feeling

I can't speak for their installation or products because it never went that far. My issue is with their VERY aggressive sales tactics. Last week, guy #1 came to the door and told me some of my neighbors were getting estimates on their windows (which proved to be a lie) and would I be interested? I am looking at installing new windows at some point in the future, so I spoke with him for a few minutes. He asked how old the house was, etc. All of this stuff is public, so I answered. He said he'd leave me with information (he never did). Then he wanted my phone number. I said absolutely not. He explained it was just a one-time call to schedule the estimate. Again, I said no. He shrugged and said goodbye. I thought that was the end of it, but five minutes later, team two came along. This team asked me the same questions. I kept telling them that one of their colleagues had already been by, and the man said "yeah, we talked with him about you." That waved a huge red flag. I realized this was a tag team situation, and team #2 was the big gun. I then told him no phone number. He reiterated it would be a one-time call. He then asked me when if I ever bought a car, didn't I provide my Social Securty number? I told him no, because it was none of his damned business if I did or didn't. He asked me another few questions along that same vein, and I decided I had enough. I told him that no number means no number, thanked him and his partner for stopping by and went back inside. I did research on this company and saw from many reviews that I wasn't the only "beneficiary" of this sales tactic. I'm sure once the "estimate" had been prepared, I would have had a fight on my hands to tell the company no. I'm glad I didn't provide my phone number and get that estimate. Moral of the story is you see someone in your neighbood with a "Power" logo on their shirt, by all means talk to them if you want. But be careful. These folks seem to be trained in the "wear down the prospect" school of sales tactics. It's unfortunate because many people on this site seem genuinely happy with the work. But this is one prospect who will NEVER become a Power Home Remodeling client.

Power windows is not worth the hassle

We purchased windows from Power with a lifetime warranty. Not long after installation, the windows started to leak gas’s between the panes. At this point, all but 2 of our 13 windows have a brown haziness. When I called to get them replaced, I was told it would cost me money for each window. Apparently, I have to take on some of the financial burden of Power windows not making sure their manufacturer made a good product in the first place.safe yourself time and headache. Go with a different window company.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We sincerely apologize for any frustrations or inconveniences you experienced throughout the warranty process. We'd like to provide some additional context regarding this product's limited lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, the product in question was discontinued by the original manufacturer, who elected not to develop an alternative replacement solution. In response, POWER invested heavily in developing a compatible replacement option and retooling a production line so that replacement products could continue to be manufactured. While we have worked to preserve support for these products, there are additional costs associated with production, and a small portion of those costs are shared with the homeowner. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please know that this situation is not ideal for us either, and we continue to invest resources to support affected homeowners. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please reach out to us at (888) 736-6335, option 2.

As homeowners

As homeowners, the scariest home remodeling project you can face is a roof replacement. When you hear the dreaded words, “you need a new roof,” your heart starts to race, you immediately worry about the financial burden, and you simply pray that you can find a reliable, honest company to complete the work. In our search, my husband and I contacted a couple of companies to secure quotes. Initially, we were very pleased with Power Home Remodeling Group. Your company sent over two specialists who conducted a highly informative presentation that lasted for over four hours. The sales rep. initially quoted us approximately $50,000.00 for a package that included a replacement roof board, asphalt shingles, fascia, gutters, and a new door. Throughout the presentation, he steadily reduced the rate, ultimately bringing it down to the mid-to-high $20k range—though this reduced price dropped the new door and only included the roof board, shingles, fascia, and gutters. My husband and I repeatedly informed the sales rep. that we needed more time to review our financial situation. However, after he heavily emphasized how urgently the work needed to be done, we ultimately agreed to move forward with just the gutters and fascia. This decision was made with the explicit understanding that we would complete the actual roof replacement this summer when our finances were more certain. We clearly informed him that we planned to move forward with the roof replacement in July 2026. Today, June 20th, with a clearer view of our finances, we were ready to move forward with the roof. We scheduled a follow-up appointment to get the final price quote. To our absolute surprise, the price quoted today for just the roof was nearly identical to the original final quote we were given for the entire package. If we have already paid for and had our gutters and fascia completed by your company, why is the price for the roof exactly the same? If the price was going to remain identical, the sales rep. should never have suggested breaking up the project. He should have advised us to wait until we were ready to do the entire roof at once. At this point, it is entirely evident that the sales rep. misled us and was not transparent about the fact that we would essentially be paying for the gutters and fascia twice. He did an extraordinary job of convincing us that your company is honorable. The presentations shown to us emphasize that Power Home Remodeling Group prides itself on professionalism, honor, and quality craftsmanship—qualities that gave my husband and me the confidence that we were in trustworthy hands. What is now clear to us is that the qualities your company prides itself on do not exist in the way you advertise them. We feel deeply frustrated and betrayed by this experience.

Strong sale pitch weak work for sure.

Pain in the neck company. A lot of marketing and talk and talk and talk... They held me hostage for 10 minutes asking about my wife schedule if she is a decision maker or not, blah, blah, blah, the typical company with 14K reviews that you should not trust and that spends a lot on selling and marketing. I ended up hanging up and blocking them. Having read your review, maybe the point is making sure you only work with the very "docile" customers that follow your procedures blindly and drink your kool-aid. I was explained all these "processes" correctly by your company as part of the sales process. I listened, I explained my decision making process and you just were inflexible. To put it in practical clear words: You cannot simply come, evaluate and make a proposal. No simple. That cannot be done. It has to be done in your way with your selling and marketing techniques and you demand to have the audience of your choice. I get it. NO THANK YOU ! I hope this helps someone that does not tolerate that style.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused throughout your interaction with us. When it comes to you having to be present with your wife, we have a policy that requires all homeowners and decision-makers to be present before moving forward with any home improvement project. At POWER, we believe communication is key, and we apologize that this wasn't explained in more detail when your estimate was scheduled. Our goal is to have all decision-makers, including spouses and any other co-owners, present when we come out so that everyone can receive the same information at the same time and make any adjustments together. Having all parties present ensures everyone is on the same page and allows us to proceed confidently with the next steps. We acknowledge that every household has its own decision-making process, and we want to respect your needs as much as possible. However, the last thing we'd want to do is make major changes to a home without the consent of all homeowners, which is why we ask for everyone to be present. There are cases where one party may not be aware of certain aspects of the project, which can lead to headaches and expensive changes later down the line. Again, we did not mean to insult you or be difficult. We simply want everyone to be happy and informed regarding the project for their home, which is why we ask that all homeowners and decision-makers be present.

Power did an excellent job for us

Power did an excellent job for us. They carefully explained the windows they were selling and explained in detail how the process works. They followed through on everything they said they would do. They were very professional, and answered every question we had. We are very happy with the results. We love the windows . I highly recommend this company.

Power Home remodeling came to my house…

Power Home remodeling came to my house at 7:30, I had thought it would be a short discussion and would wrap up in 30 minutes. Instead the sales rep was here for 3 hours. He went through a very long sales pitch and demo. When he finished and showed me the cost of the materials and work it was way over priced. I kindly told him I would think about it and he reminded me the "better price" was if I signed that night. Big red flag. He keep "calling his boss" for a better price and was negotiating as to how many windows would be initially replaced. Another big red flag was his concern as to the apparent damage around the windows and to the house. I was concerned so I just had a house inspector look at it this morning. No the windows/ casement and wall are all okay. I did agree that the windows (single pane) allow considerable heat to pass though. Recommended cheapest solution was a set of blackout curtains for now. I looked on reddit and some other forums and saw that they have at best a "mixed" reputation. To be fair I attempted to call Power and discuss with them my concerns. One thing i distinctly remember the sales rep saying was that if you call them a person not an automated system will answer. Nope you get an automated answering system.. press1.... and so on. So no I cannot recommend them.

Their products and services are really…

Their products and services are really over price and they use really cheap labor contractors for installation. They were supposed to reinstall original storm doors but their salesperson purposely left it out of contract and made the new door measurements so that the storm doors wouldn't fit anymore. I was told by another contractor that they do this on purpose; to get you to buy their custom storm doors for $5-6,000, these are the same custom storm doors that you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot for $13-1400 installed. One of the doors they install, will not close properly and when called to have repaired, there was a 3 month wait. If you are looking to do home improvements, find a few local contractors and get an estimate and than get a home improvement loan with your bank or mortgage company, not with these home improvement company that offer easy financing with the windows, doors, siding etc, that have a 1000-2000 % markup and financing rates as high as 21%. this company has poor customer service in my book, when I first complained about the storm door, the person on the phone chuckled in his response that it wasn't in the contract, so warning to others, shop else were!!!

Water Water Everywhere…

Let me be clear: I regret choosing Power Home Remodeling. I had a brand‑new roof and gutter system installed by Canopy Roofing in August 2025. Perfect work. Zero issues. In November, I hired Power for siding. They told me my four‑month‑old gutters had to come off and that doing so would void the warranty. I considered calling Canopy to reinstall them afterward, but Power talked me out of it. They pushed their "bigger, better, no‑guard‑needed" gutters and even offered me a "deal" to replace my perfectly good system. That "deal" has turned into a liability. Three months after installation, my roof was visibly bowed and my gutters were overflowing. Canopy inspected the situation and immediately identified the problem: Power's installers physically damaged my roof by forcing the shingles upward during gutter installation. Canopy fixed the damage for free--because they're professionals. Power, on the other hand, gave me a canned speech about how their gutters "don't need guards." Meanwhile, mine were clogged solid after three months. Their solution? They'd "note" my account so adding guards "should be fine." If your product fails in under 90 days, the warranty is meaningless. And a "deal" that results in roof damage and non‑functional gutters is not a deal. As I write this, it's been raining for three days straight. My gutters--cleaned less than two months ago--are failing on every side of my home. Waterfalls everywhere. Zero functionality. I guess my new gutters mean monthly gutter cleanings... Power Home Remodeling sold me a defective system, damaged my roof, and then tried to talk their way around it. As of this morning and after dragging a ladder out to look in the gutters. My gutters were cleaned just two months ago, but the real issue has been the downspouts. Even with the gutters clear, the downspout openings keep clogging with hardwood leaves and debris, which causes the entire gutter system to overflow during rain. The elbows at the top of the downspouts seem to be the main choke point, and the openings are too small to handle the amount of leaf fall around my property. Because of this, the gutters back up and spill over the edges long before they should need another cleaning. I feel like this is definitely an installation issue that should have been A. Accounted for at installation with larger openings or B. considered When I called about my issue when they sent a guy out to check the angle of my gutter slope. Now, here I am, a 57 year old woman climbing a ladder to clean out downspouts 2 months after a gutter cleaning because the much heralded special coating doesn't help the debris clear the last and most important hurdle...the downspout.

Over Priced - Not Trustworthy

The company tries to hold their word but in reality they don’t. All the sales people seem very nice and trustworthy and the installation seemed good - that’s only until something you come across becomes defected of some sort. In my case I had my windows replaced. All the mechanics on one side of one of the windows broke apart. They scheduled to come out months later to repair but canceled the appointment because they were down man power that day. I understood, trying to work with them and they’re now scheduled to come soon - months after. I didn’t make a big deal about it because they explained they come out on revisits according to priority. So me, giving the benefit of the doubt, I purchased a door. The door itself is beautiful. The installation seemed good until I was gently rolling a bicycle out the door and the pedal of the bike peeled the frame capping back. I only had the door for two weeks now. When I called I was told by the project manager that I’m the one who caused it, it’s my problem. I explained to him there’s no way a door that costs $5,000( mind you, would of cost $7,000 but I got the previous customer discount) should have parts of the door peeling back like that. I sent him video on how it can be pulled back with my pinky finger. He still says that’s how it’s designed, that I should have been more careful. Had I known it was free to bend back like that I would of secured it myself. And when I ordered the door it had pictures of two locks. It came like it looked, but it’s just equipped with one deadbolt lock. I state this because what am I supposed to do if this lock goes bad when they hold the supposedly lifetime warranty that’s voided out if you make altercations. All I could say now is I really wouldn’t of had them do the projects if I knew this is how they operate. They charge all this extra money promising lifetime warranty when you’re pretty much on your own.

Replacement of defective windows takes to long

Replacement of defective windows should not take years. I called Power Home Remodeling on 10/3/2022 for a defective window. It was replaced in February 2026 but it took a couple more months for the lock to work.

Construction Team

The entire construction team worked together to accomplish the goal of installing the windows to our satisfaction.Everyone had their responsibilities and did them well. They went above and beyond their standard duties. I can already see a difference with the new windows. Living in Nevada where the temperatures have already reached 100, my house stays cooler than with the old windows. So far I am very pleased. After a reasonable amount of time, I would recommend the company reach out to check to see how everything is going with the workmanship and satisfaction with the windows.

They did amazing work

They did amazing work, helped me jump a car with a dead battery to get it out of the way, and were able to do my whole roof in one day. They also cleaned up after themselves making sure nothing was left behind and that there were no old nails or debris anywhere.
