Certainly we do apologize for any delayed responses, as our agents are doing all they can amidst a lot of incoming traffic; we've since replied to you multiple times and offered help, including a Free Return, which has resulted in a finalized return and full refund, per your request. With that said, we do not sell old or unsafe tires, and do not engage in any "scams". As you know, we do sell tires of variable ages, which is indeed advertised and disclosed all over our website. Although sometimes a specific tire age is listed, most of the time it is physically not possible to guarantee a specific age for a given tire inventory - which is almost never an issue, as we do all we can to ensure that we only ever send out tires in excellent, untouched NEW condition. Tire ages can vary, but most of our inventory is indeed no more than a year old, although some tires can be older, up to about 3 years of age. To that end we do agree that 5 years is a too much, and can advise that it was not purposely or willingly sent out like that. With that said, we did understand your concern and thusly provided you with a Free Return. Truthfully, we strongly disagree with the implication that older tires are in any way a hazard, which is at this point a widely disproven implication - that is why we do sometimes sell older tires like this, although exclusively with disclosed ages for transparency. At any rate, regardless of your opinion on 5-year-old tires, the fact of the matter is that we do not wish to ever send tires of such ages under a general listing, so you're completely correct that it was a mistake on our part - though not intentional in any way, and not hazardous in any way. We'll endeavor to further improve both our inventory handling and customer service however as we clearly need to avoid issues of this nature, as we do not ever wish to confuse or frustrate our customers. Slander and libel should at least have some effort put in to be a bit believable, we think. We do not sell or send out damaged, incorrect or otherwise inappropriate tires - on purpose, that is. No retailer or manufacturer is perfect, or ever will be, but we strive to absolutely minimize the amount of mistakes by constantly improving our operational methodology and quality assurance. We don't "expect" customers to pay for a return - if we make a mistake, we provide a free return; if we do not, free returns are not possible, all of which is advertised. So, it is up to the customers to send the tires back however they want to - we offer to sell prepaid labels at our business rate, which can be as low as $10 for a single tire, and about $50 for a set of 4. Feel free to research standard tire shipping costs and then get back to us as to how useful or fair our offers are. Our phone line features both a queue system as well as a callback option, which is indeed functional and is not exactly a feat of expensive technology; it is standard fare for any reputable company, so naturally we incorporate it and optimize it for the best possible efficiency. Our US-based customer service does its best to utilize this to its most. We do have a high volume of calls, because we have a high volume of business - we sell 5000+ orders per day, moving tens of thousands of tires. That's not an excuse for any phone or email delay, but it is an explanation - and we're working hard to improve both capacity and methodology to drastically reduce any and all wait times. We do not "blame" customers for anything, outside of extreme exceptions and cases where customers clearly do something they shouldn't yet attempt to blame us for it; we likewise don't "blame" our shipping partners, but we do point out when there's an unlucky and unforeseen issue with the shipping, which one would expect a modern customer would understand, especially as we always try to make things right. We do sell both budget-friendly and premium tires of all kinds and categories, and this is proven by a cursory glance at our website; the notion that we only sell old and/or faulty tires is preposterous. Some tires can be older, as we do stock older tires, but obviously our vast 20+ years of experience with literal millions of orders is proof enough that your supposed understanding of tires, compounds and aging is decidedly outdated and inappropriate. It's not impossible for an individual mistake of some kind to happen as noted above, but a couple of reviews about old tires (sent out by accident) are drowned out in the sea of positive experiences and innumerable returning customers. Needless to say, we do all we can to treat all of our customers and employees with dignity and respect - and we're always learning and improving, year-in, year-out, which is exactly why we keep getting higher and higher ratings alongside increasing sales. All in all, this reply is just for the sake of posterity, as it's abundantly clear to any neutral observer that this review is absurdly inappropriate, inauthentic and inapplicable - kernels of real criticism notwithstanding, which we do always acknowledge.
