We pay a considerable amount of money…

We pay a considerable amount of money to have access to the facilities and trust that ResortPass vets its clients. At the very least I’d expect ResortPass to make sure the property is accurately representing itself. The fact that it’s incredibly difficult to get in contact with RP in these challenging situations is even more frustrating.

An absolute joke of a service - ResortPass needs to vet its hotels

Booked a day pass through ResortPass for the Sheraton Music City Nashville Airport. The entire experience was absolutely ridiculous from start to finish. When we arrived, nothing was ready and the hotel employees seemed almost confused about what we were even asking for. The guy we dealt with was completely useless. No proper explanation, no instructions, no effort to actually help us — he basically moved his head in the general direction we were supposed to go and apparently expected us to figure out the rest. We then spent about 15 minutes wandering around a maze of hotel corridors trying to work out where we were supposed to be before eventually having to go back to him because his directions were so pathetic. And apparently nobody thought it was worth mentioning that the indoor pool was closed, despite that being part of what we had paid to access. At that point, even getting the bare minimum became a struggle. I had to grab a towel myself from the pool area just so I could use the gym shower — which, unbelievably, only had cold water. What exactly did I pay ResortPass for? The Sheraton Music City Nashville Airport was clearly not prepared to provide the service ResortPass had sold us. No proper welcome, no guidance, facilities unavailable, staff who seemed to have no idea what was going on, and we were essentially left to fend for ourselves. If ResortPass is going to take customers’ money to sell day access to hotels, then actually vet the hotels you put on your platform and make sure they are capable of delivering the service you are selling. This was embarrassingly bad and a complete waste of money. One star only because zero isn’t an option.

The experience was good enough

The experience was good enough. Pool was clean, chairs were comfortable and available. Staff was friendly. However for the value of over $300 Canadian dollars, with nearly $100 for a bottle of wine I felt that the standard of service was not there. The space lacked ambience and felt like a public pool. I spent nearly $700 with the day pass and food and beverage and honestly wouldn’t go back. I saw people with their own snacks and beverages which would then make more sense

The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center…

The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center describes itself as “a haven of wellness, renewal, and luxury with a sparkling pool and fitness studio.” Unfortunately, that was far from my experience on a Saturday. First, the good: Check-in was smooth, the front desk attendant was very helpful, the bartender was personable, the fitness center appeared nicely equipped, and pool towels were readily available. The pool experience, however, was disappointing. The pool is fairly small, with very limited loungers and additional seating. Nearly every chair was occupied or covered with guests’ belongings, and at one point I found myself simply standing in the shade with nowhere to sit. The pool itself was just as crowded. The small, roped-off shallow area was largely occupied by children playing, swimming back and forth, and splashing, while kids repeatedly jumped cannonball-style into the deep end near other guests. Some adults resorted to sitting along the edge with their feet in the water to read a book because there was so little room to comfortably relax. Eventually, I found a small spot near the stairs where I could stand in about three feet of water and enjoy a drink. The kids were having a great time — love that for them! — and a few parents did remind them not to splash other guests, but there simply wasn't enough space for everyone. The splashing continued, eventually ending with pool water in my drink. My issue isn't with families or children enjoying the pool. The problem is that the space doesn't support the experience the Westin is advertising. If you're selling day passes and promoting “wellness, renewal, and luxury,” guests should reasonably be able to find a place to sit, get into the pool, and relax. There appears to be plenty of surrounding space, and I hope the Westin considers expanding the pool area, adding significantly more loungers, or even creating separate adult and family areas. As it stands, I paid for a relaxing afternoon and spent far too much of it competing for a chair, dodging cannonballs, and being splashed by kids. Maybe weekdays or Sundays are different, but I would not recommend a Saturday day pass if you're looking for a relaxing pool day.

I booked at Westin…

I booked a resort pass for the Westin Inn in Hilton head South Carolina. Nowhere anywhere does it say the pass is only valid from 9 AM to 5 PM. I tried to go in and use a fitness facility, which is included at 7:30 and was told I cannot use my pass. I tried to get a refund because that was not disclosed and I was not able to do so. This is very deceiving and I would not recommend utilizing this because all of the details are not disclosed and then they don’t want to own up to the misleading information or lack thereof.
