although there isn’t much on here, i assume because the site isn’t popular, its a great way to find someone. you can see all their info so that you’re not just reaching out to random people and can more or less know if you’re a match.

(W/O Prejudice/IMO)(Disclaimer: In '89 & '99, during times of high stress & possible PTSD, doctors diagnosed me with Paranoid Schizophrenia. Like for PTSD, a sign of PS is hallucinations.) Hi: In ('22?) I opened an Account at Roomies Canada, mainly to seek other Roommates. I've received few contacts & have neither interviewed, nor shared a dwelling, with anyone I'd have met at this website. In recent weeks, I came to learn that my Account had been banned. I haven't been able to find out if there's more than a simple mistake behind it. I always received prompt & courteous service from Roomies Team Members. My lengthy Description, essentially maxxing out at the 10,000 character-limit they give us, indicated how acute the consequences, felt chiefly by people who aren't upwardly mobile, or who have few prospects, are, when it comes to the dark side of the current (& perhaps permanent) rental-crisis. To get around causing misunderstandings with a browsing public, I tried to be as direct, logical & in use of correct terminology as possible, thinking the Description would be scanned faster by RCMP that way. I used the Description as a forum to grand-stand (oops, I mean "indicate") my opinions as to why I believe Canada's housing rental-laws are hardly sufficient & need to be revolutionized (or commercialized?) into being more of an enforced, needs-based legal framework, tied to federal law, even if that means housing-rentals are strictly free enterprise, mercenary & no longer in the "Real Estate Investment Tax Credit-" classification. (I've no legal expertise: Can anyone say if this is accurate in any way?) Perhaps some people who read my Description found it too (direct, intense, critical, harsh, ETC.) Surprisingly, I found that people who offered rentals didn't seem to know, at all, how to articulate questions that could attract the type of person they want to rent to, in a way that's professional. Has anyone seen what seems to be a profound lack of relationship-experience held by other Account-Holders, including the ones who "have the most" & should probably assume the most Burden of Proof? I was concerned by what I saw. Not wanting to take chances with a relationship that's so important, I've been "laying my cards on the table" as much as I can. I might be better off accepting that I'd do better if I lived in a very small, individualized Pod-Shelter of some kind. What have other people been finding? Have the Descriptions been living up to what they seem to promise, long after the participants have parted ways? <3 -Renee K.
