⚠️ WARNING – EXERCISE CAUTION BEFORE PURCHASING FROM THIS COMPANY

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise potential customers to do thorough research before buying from this company. I purchased several rugs costing over £150. When they arrived, they had been folded into a box and were of very poor quality, falling well below my expectations. When I contacted the company to request a refund, I was repeatedly offered discounts and incentives to keep the items. However, as I was dissatisfied with the quality, I insisted on a full refund. It was only at this stage that I discovered that, despite operating under a .co.uk website, the company is based overseas. I was informed that the rugs would need to be returned to Switzerland at my own expense, which was very costly. Nevertheless, because the products were unsuitable and of poor quality, I proceeded with the return. The situation then became even more frustrating when the company refused delivery of the returned parcel on three separate occasions. As a result, I was forced to submit a chargeback claim through my bank, a process which can take several weeks to resolve. Subsequently, I unexpectedly received an email from the company stating that the returned goods had been received and that my refund would be processed within three working days. Since then, I have contacted the company several times by both email and telephone and have repeatedly been assured that the refund is being processed and will be received within three working days. Unfortunately, several weeks have now passed and I am still awaiting my refund. My advice to anyone considering a purchase from this company is to proceed with extreme caution. Be sure to check where the company is actually based, understand the return requirements, and consider the potential costs and difficulties involved if you need to return an item.

Great selection of styles and sizes shown with various types of furniture which helped with colour matching. I found the site easy to navigate through. I hope to comment on service and delivery after receipt of item.

The rugs we order were good value as described and swiftly delivered.

The rugs we order were good value, accurately described, arrived quickly and any queries or issues with our order were dealt with swiftly and helpfully by the customer service team. Our one suggestion for improvement would be to roll the carpets for transit instead of folding them which causes creases in the rugs which can be difficult to remove.

RETURNS & POOR QUALITY

Ordered a rug from Rugs.co.uk as I had seen some accounts I follow on social media receive rugs from them that looked great quality and the ideal design I wanted. Unfortunately purchased without reading the returns policy - market themselves as a UK company, but state you have to return to either Switzerland or United States. The rug was thin and looked like something from Temu - terrible quality. Rug purchase price was £68 and they stated it would cost £66 for the returns label! Alternatively offered 50% refund without me returning, which shows the rugs are not worth the prices they charge. Avoid!!!

The rugs were of poor quality They had to be returned to Switzerland at my cost, which was expensive. The company then refused to accept the return from the courier. Having to go through my bank to claim a refund. Have also been to Trading Standards who confirm that having a .co.uk web address but being based abroad is at best misleading. Be careful purchasing anything from this company.

My rug bears a vague resemblance to the one I purchased

The rug arrived quickly with text updates along the way. However I was disappointed that it only bears a mild resemblance to the rug I actually purchased. It’s a nice rug but I have bought much cheaper ones from Amazon that have been good quality and exactly as described.

Not a UK company. Returns only to Switzerland!?

This company could improve by not pretending to be a UK vendor. The domain Rugs.co.uk is for a seller in the US, who only takes returns to Switzerland or US. Our rug arrived tightly folded into a cardboard box. We took it out only long enough to see that the colour wasn't what we expected from the website. We were fortunately able to get it back on the box. Then we discovered that the returns would cost us shipping and customs duties to Switzerland. After a bit of to and fro, they offered us a partial refund (50%) and we could keep the rug. We accepted this as it was gong to cost us about the 50% to ship it. After we got the 50% refund on our card, we gave the rug to the charity shop (thrift shop? for our US readers). I would not recommend anyone to use this company.

Re review, most creases have come out in 2 days rug looks good and for the price I can't really knock it yes a bit thin but still ok!!!

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE 5* REVIEWS

Beware!!!!!! Although they have a RUGS.CO.UK website, this is NOT a UK company. Bought a rug from them which arrived FOLDED up! Opened to find that the folds would not smooth out. So I requested a return. Turns out you have to return it to either Switzerland or US warehouse at your own expense. So I booked UPS to deliver the rug back to the Switzerland warehouse. Now UPS are holding the item as there is import duty to pay that rugs.co.uk will not pay. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE 5* REVIEWS. These are cheap rugs, but you will spend half your life wishing you had never come across this company. Now having to talk to my Crdit Card company (thankfully I didn't buy on a debit card). to get my money back. Update 26/6/2026 According to my Credit card company, as the purchase was made in the UK (uk website and money taken from my card in a UK clearing bank), I did not need to send the item back at all as it was damaged and not as described on arrival (Folded rug that retained the fold marks when opened up). It is the sellers responsability to collect the rug and refund my payment. I have since emailed rugs.co.uk support again suggesting that as they had previously offered me an £80 discount to keep the rug, wouldn't it now make sense to pay half of that amount to UPS to get the rug returned, They have responded today with this email Dear Shahriar, Thank you for your response. Quality rugs, good communication

I wanted to write this review because this is my second purchase... Rugs UK have so many to choose from and many sizes and alternatives. You can take a picture of your room on your mobile and be able to see what your choice looks like in your designated room. For us, this was invaluable. You are kept up to date all the way through, and if you contact rugs uk you are sure to get a quick reply. My oversized rug was delivered after a couple of weeks, it arrived folded so it took a little while for the creases to flatten. No need to worry because it flattened nicely after a week or so. The quality of the rug that I chose was second to none, and you certainly wouldn't be able to get one on the high street for the quality and price that you get from rugs uk.

Only got as far as ordering so no product review, but process easy and brilliant online tool to see rug in my room (complete with children's toys from my photo!!) Also used their chat service to get more information which worked quickly and well.

So disappointed to be honest who folds a rug to transport???

So disappointed to be honest. Just paid £330 for a rug that arrived folded and it’s a big rug! Pattern is not as sharp as photos the creases are absolutely horrendous and it looks terrible down at the moment. It would take hours to sort with the recommended hairdryer technique on the packaging! I wish I read the reviews as this is really upsetting for us. We think the folding of the rug has stretched the fabric. It may never be good. It’s a USA company we have now realised and this feels dishonest using .co.uk on its website I would steer clear. Never would a rug be sent folded. As soon as it arrived my heart sank immediately and I was right!

Well we've been using this company for a few years & OMG what a fantastic selection of rugs in so many sizes. I cannot wait for my " safari " rug to be delivered! They never fail to please & at the right price too! 😍
