Reimbursement nightmare

As an owner of an RV who rented through RV share they are absolutely horrible when there is damage done to your unit and you need to get reimbursement! We had a renter total our RV in RV share has been battling us for almost a year now trying to give us $40,000 less than the RV is worth. We even were willing to meet in the middle of that 40,000, got a lawyer and they are still standing firm. Their customer service is horrible, they take forever to get back to you, and do not back the owners of the RV at all. They also sent us a 1099 for almost triple what they actually paid us which we have proof of and had to fight with them to get that corrected. If you own an RV and I thinking about renting it out use a different platform.!!!!!

Do NOT list your camper or camper van on RVShare!!

RVShare as a van owner has proven to be a complete nightmare. I had my camper van listed for 8 months - with zero interest - while outdoorsy and RVezy gave me consistent listings. I finally had someone book through there and after my. An had been listed for 8 months with ZERO communication - it was after my van was booked that they sent me an email with a 7 day deadline to provide proof of a recall repair. They have no clue how anything works. First - they only sent an email (I get 309 emails a day). They have my number to text. Second - they gave me 7 days to provide proof of a repair. My van has been in the shop since DECEMBER 1st!! I’m still waiting on parts and approvals for the work. They can’t even tell me SPECIFICALLY the work they are requiring proof of. When I pushed on that - then they wanted the list of maintenance items I was having them work on. I’ve had them completely remove my RV from their site. I recommend everyone do the same. They are scammers. Oh yeah. They were hacked and I received dozens of emails of scammers. Took them for ever to plug the leak. Then their customer service folks all deny it. Check out Reddit

I rented a stationary rv. The owner told me I would not have to pay the insurance fee. He was wrong. RVshare would not honor the owner's committment and I ended up cancelling and having to pay the $135.15 service fee anyway, since insurance through RVshare is MANDATORY under ANY circumstances.

Hidden fees and dishonest practices

Tried to reserve an RV through their website, but the process was misleading. After submitting my reservation, I was told it needed approval, then prompted to pay for additional insurance that wasn’t included in the original quote. By the time I called to ask about the unexpected charge, they said the reservation had been approved and it was “past 24 hours,” so canceling cost me a $65 fee—even though approval happened almost a full day after I booked, giving me no real chance to clarify anything. Canceled because I didn’t trust the hidden fees. Still fighting to get my $65 back.

Riley Saved The Day.

Out original RVshare RV rental reservation was cancelled by the RV owner at the very last minute. Riley worked extremely hard to first issue full credit for that reservation. Then she investigated multiple alternative options until she found an RV that both met our requirements and was located within an acceptable driving distance. We were able to pick up that RV the very same day. The second RV was excellent and resulted an enjoyable weekend. We cannot say enough about Riley's efforts. She turned a potentially disastrous situation into a very enjoyable weekend. Thank you Riley.

Complete B.S!!! Owner cancelled, not refunding

Complete B.S!!! We booked in Oct 25 for a Feb 2026 trip. This was going to be our first RV experience, and was very much looking forward to. 4 weeks before our trip we got a message from the RV owner the camper was damaged and will be out of commission for our dates. Super bummed but I get it, this is not where i have the issue. RV share provided refunds.....but here is the issue.....they WILL NOT REFUND the screening fee. I completely understand if WE cancelled the reservation we wouldn't get it back. But 'WE' didn't cancel the reservation. If nothing else the OWNER should absorb the charge. We tried to reason w RV share but they won't budge. So now I need to find a hotel, on top of the charge from RV share. For $26 they lost a customer for life. So stupid. EDIT; I see RV shares response....but we called the customer support number many times and was told very directly 'will not refund'.
