DO NOT rent from RVshare or from Mickey-Part 2
This is in response to "DO NOT rent from RVshare or from Mickey..." posted by my wife April Williams-Rutt.
RVshare responded to my wife's post to contact them. I did on 8-6-2026.
We did get our most of our deposit back. What we did NOT get back was the "Screening Fee." It does not matter that the rental was canceled by Mickey, we lose the screening fee. In our case it was $27.88. Of course RVshare apologized as normal and offered a future credit, but we have no intention of using RVshare ever again.
Point being, be prepared to lose the screening fee no matter the reason for a cancelation.
This was our first RV Rental. Our family group of 9 rented from RV Share for a trip to South Dakota. I set up the trip, but was not going to be a driver as I hate driving. I added the 2 drivers, my dad and my husband. RV Share charges $12.99 per day for a 3rd person to be added as a driver. Since I was not going to drive, I contacted RV Share via the chat feature and via Email asking to be removed as a driver as I will not drive and didnt want to be charged the extra fees. RV Share would not refund me or remove me as a driver. The insurance was $723 for a 5 day trip and both drivers were veteran CDL Truck Drivers with millions of miles driven accident free. The deposit was $800. Its been 6 days since we've been back and haven't heard anything about my deposit. After looking into it, it can take weeks to receive the deposit back. One last thing was when we returned we had went over the allowed miles which we knew we would but RV share charged a service fee on top of the owners milage fee. RV Share charged to my card a $23 Service Fee on top of $153 for milage plus tax. We will not use RV Share again. $2500 for 5 days plus hundreds in gas. We only used it to drive there and back as we stayed in an Airbnb while we were there.

We had an absolutely amazing experience…
We had an absolutely amazing experience renting this RV! From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, easy, and stress-free. Arriving to find the RV already set up and ready for us was such a luxury. Not having to worry about towing, setting everything up, or disconnecting at the end made our vacation so much more relaxing.
The RV was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We were able to focus on making memories with our family instead of dealing with the logistics of camping.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely rent from this host again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable RV vacation!

Owner was GREAT. Corporate Roadside Assistance was USELESS. Customer Service is nonexistent.
Our camper was perfect , a place for everyone. It was set up and ready when we got there. The owner was so great to communicate with and made sure we had a great time. Thank you !
Terrible experience! I had a confirmed and fully paid for a trip and owner canceled five days before trip, this was only discovered when I reached out to owner to arrange pick up and he informed me RV has not been inspected and he will be canceling trip. Refund issued minus a $25 screening fee, RVshare’s refusing to refund screening free since I am not rebooking on platform. I told them I was not rebooking on platform because this was such a horrible experience and can the screening fee be refunded anyway, they refused. A renter should not accrue any fee for a canceled trip by owner five days ahead of said trip. Disappointed and will inform all friends and family to stay away from this site.

No help after RV breakdown
This company clearly does not check on or vet RVs that are available on this platform. I rented an RV for the first time and it was a horrendous experience. The RV was terribly dirty and ran exceptionally poorly. We should have declined it the day we rented it, but we were in a bind, with people and plans waiting on us. I cleaned it the best that I could and we left for a several hundred mile drive. Then the RV broke down completely while 700 miles from home. We incurred much inconvenience and a tremendous amount of unexpected money renting a hotel, rental car and Uber. RV Share did nothing for us despite our repeated attempts to get reimbursement. Please be wary of renting from this site.

DO NOT rent from RVshare or from Mickey with RVshare!!! Mickey cancelled our rental at literally 7 PM the night before we were supposed to pick it up at 9 AM the next morning!!! She stated that the RV has, “one tire that the belts are broke in the center is bulging . There is a 50% chance that it will blow on you”. She stated the replacement tires her husband special ordered did not get there in time and that she put the spare tire from our camper on another one of her rentals so there wasn’t even a spare tire for our camper. Our adult children had already taken time off work so the trip needed to happen still. We scrambled around that night to order 2 tents and an air mattress. After the trip, we contacted RVshare and asked them to reimburse us the cost of the 2 tents and the air mattress due to the last minute cancellation, but they refused and would only refund us the cost of the rental. On top of all of that, RVshare refused to let us leave a review on Mickey’s rental/profile due to us not completing the rental. That’s completely unfair to not be allowed to let other potential renters know the risk they take in renting from Mickey and/or RVshare. We will not attempt to rent from them again as they obviously side with their renters regardless of how irresponsible and ill prepared they are!!!

If I could give this a zero star that…
If I could give this a zero star that would not be low enough of a rating. The owners of these RV's know way more about the rental process for these vehicles and will take advantage of you. Two tires blew out on the RV while driving, RV share offered no help in getting the vehicle driving again, we wound up stranded for 4 hours and wound up paying over $1000 to repair the tires, now the owner has 2 new tires on my dime. The RV also had leaking sink, nails sticking out the side and bugs falling out of the roof whenever a bump was hit in the road. The RV was a piece of crap, which when you plan vacation for a long trip you have no choice but to accept. Do not use this scam of a company, they are about protecting the RV owners, not the families inside of them.

Find a more reliable site. I used this site for several years, but something changed. I usually book for August between February and March. This is the second year my reservation got cancelled at the last minute. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT A RELIABLE RESERVATION.

I had an absolute terrible experience…
I had an absolute terrible experience with RV share customer service last week. Our experience almost left us stranded in K.Y when our rental through RV Share canceled our reservation on after us already leaving to go to the Kentucky Horse Park from N.H. RV provided us with additional RV options that were thousands to deliver compared to the 1,600 total price for our original RV. We were stuck in K.Y trying to enjoy our vacation without a place to stay. I spent 2 days of our vacation trying to find new RV to rent and the customer service representatives even at the manager level could only apologize for what they considered an inconvenience but was really an emergency as we didn't have a place to stay. They offered us a 75 dollar voucher for the incontinence which in all honestly was a slap on the face as it didn't even come close to covering the difference in rv prices. In the end without customer service help I did end up finding an RV to rent through their website. When I asked them why they didn't share this RV option which was cheaper as they said they owner was not responsive. This owner ended up being very responsive and was great to deal with. We felt taken advantage of and scammed and we're very displeased with the platform of rv share.

Terrible. Please avoid
We booked and the owner was amazing. 3 days before our trip they said our driving licence was no good as we needed a commercial driving licence. Their own website said we didn’t. The owner said we didn’t. The dvla said we didn’t but they cancelled our trip and with 3 days to go we are without accommodation
Terrible customer service: slow to respond the emails so had to call and they kept putting me on hold so my bill was £100!
