I'm only days into my subscription and haven't claimed anything yet, but the cost is less than the typical travel insurance I'm accustomed to. That's a positive, considering that I am retired now.

Safetywing is a bad and criminal insurance. I was sick for days, had a medical report emitted by the hospital with all info required and DATED. They are not processing my claim bc doctor wrote for how many days I was having the symptom, but not the date of my symptom in the format 01/07/2026. The worst is that they claim to be an digital nomad insurance. But when there is thai writing, even if it's a do tor and written in doctoral report format, they deny it. SafetyWing says it's frustating document requirements. No. They are not frustating. They are necessary. What's frustating is their unaccountability of accepting a legit and oficial report. As a matter of act, is actually criminal. They try find loopholes in legitimate doctor righting and dating, which is IN the document. I'm gonna press charges. I don't even care if it's 100 dollar. A company that act like should not keep going.

So grateful to safety wing that saved us on our trip to Thailand. I had to have two emergency surgeries in my second trimester of pregnancy and both were covered fully. Just be aware that you need good documentation from the hospital and original bank statements, the GOP process didn’t work for us, but we were able to claim fully and be reimbursed within a couple of weeks. I read a lot of negative reviews online, so was surprised by how easy and straightforward the claim process was. We’ve had safety wing on and off the last years while we travel, so happy to report for anyone on the fence, that it does work when you really need it. Also super easy to talk to customer service, and I got the feeling that the claims team really wanted to help throughout the whole process.

I used SaftyWing service for the first time recently. Traveled to Chile with my wife and baby. While traveling I got huge discomfort over my esofago, belly. Needed some test the cost up to 2K usd. As its the first time I need to use insurance claims and processes I got stressed handling it. Saftywing paid for me all the claims. The UX is super modern and efficient. Also while I needed to delay my stay and buy more policy days. It was super quick and not expensive to extend. Im condiering this product now as my global GoTo.
