What reviewers say

AI generated

Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Active customers praise the dedicated support team for being exceptionally responsive, professional, and quick to resolve questions whenever assistance is requested. People find the digital platform extremely useful, intuitive, and highly user-friendly for conducting comprehensive literature searches, reading papers, and organizing academic work. However, some people mentioned difficulties regarding subscription credits, unexpected renewal charges, and denied refund requests after accidental yearly plan purchases. A few users felt that the strict limits on monthly credit usage and rigid customer support policies made it quite frustrating to resolve billing complaints.

What people say

No answer & still trying to charge me

I have bern mailing them for a week now about how I want my account to be deleted permanently and my subscription to be canceled on their end because I already canceled the subscription and the subscription was suspended as I can see in the website, however they are still trying to charge me for the subscription and they are not answering me back even though I sent more than one mail to their customer support mail.

The free trials went very well not the charged ones...

The free trials went very well, 20 pages review for tens of credits and pretty accurate references. After subscription, the same review cost me hundreds of credits with less accurate references. Today, I never know how much I'll be charged for any request, and a 1200 credits only allow me 4 or 5 requests, with reviews consisting in less than 10 pages, with references which don't exist. Honestly I don't recommand it at all. It is not transparent nor consistent / reliable. Despite my ongoing subscription, I now prefer to use ChatGPT (also subscribed) and Claude (free) with better results and much less limitations.

Good Customer Service

I recently had an issue with an unexpected renewal charge, but the SciSpace support team handled it quickly and professionally. They responded promptly, investigated the situation, and processed my refund without unnecessary hassle. I appreciate their efficiency and willingness to take responsibility. Great customer service experience overall—thank you for resolving my concern so smoothly!

Extremely resourceful and a time saver!

It was extremely resourceful, and it reduced my research time. It was also really good at categorizing my research. It was like having your own personal research tutor. It was a phenomenal tool when drilling down into my research. Grateful for the service and responsive customer service.

Designed to waste your money on things you didn't ask for.

This ai academic platform seems attractive at first but the problems appeared in only a few hours. You have a limited number of credits, even with most expensive subscription, and the AI will burn through this in hours if you're not careful. The AI kept writing reports and summaries I hadn't asked for, charging me hundreds of credits each time. Upload a set of guidelines to follow, and the AI automatically generates a compliance report I hadn't asked for. I even expressly said don't perform any action unless I specifically request it, and it did it anyway. I was only looking for advice on how to tailor and expand a systematic literature review and the AI just went ahead and tried to re-write the entire review - something I wanted to do myself. I can't see the finished product as it used all my credits on something. There is no transparency in how those credits are used and the system will not answer questions on how those credits are used or what a specific action will cost. It seems the default position of the AI is to waste credits and therefore money, while producing nothing of value. I would avoid and go with a more ethical platform.
