I keep calling them over and over and over because the price that they have for the contract they want me to sign is not the right amount. I have the right amount they keep telling me a supervisor is gonna call me. I haven’t talked to a supervisor yet and I’m still having problems and cannot get in contact with no one I do not like the communication and I’m not paying what they have For my rate to have service with them. Stay away from this company! They are nothing but money-hungry. They blame everything on the state, but their equipment is flawed and their service is useless.
I cannot hear the unit when it beeps, and I have made this complaint more than once. They refuse to do anything about it and simply don't care. To make matters worse, during installation, they didn't even provide a mounting device. I have nowhere to place the unit where I can actually see if the warning lights are flashing.
I’ve made several requests to try and rectify these issues, but they do nothing except bury me in paperwork. I want this equipment out of my car immediately. Trust me, do not go with this company!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS $$$ SCAM
I have had the worst time with Smart Start in my state and location area. They keep charging me late fees for calibration appointments or lockouts that are out of my control because the shop owner keeps rescheduling them on me to the day after they’re due so they keep charging me $100 each time. I really think this company is a scam honestly because I can’t do anything without having to pay an extra $92 or what for the amount is on top of the 64 a month that I’m already paying and then I have to pay the shop people too. That are never there whenever things are scheduled, and if Smart Start schedules it for me tough shit if the shop owner is not there because they weren’t open and since you didn’t know, they weren’t open and you couldn’t contact them and you probably weren’t able to get in contact with Smart Start because nobody answers the f’ing phone or you sit on hold for an hour so you’re just kinda SOL

The reason for the one star review is…
The reason for the one star review is as follows:
Trying to get a hold of anyone at Smart Start was an arduous task, waiting on hold for more 20 minutes each time I had called. One of the times I called was regarding payments and the money not coming out automatically when I had autopay setup, and another call to them was to discuss an incident that had happened due to a missed test because it wasn’t accepting any sample provided.
The major reason for the 1 star besides the device being incredibly finicky at times is the removal process was made extremely painful as I followed all the steps and did everything right but then received an automated email stating that it will take up to 7 days for it to process.
Why 7 days for something as simple as checking a box that mentions the user is eligible for removal? I had called about this and received the same canned response after waiting on hold for 25 minutes to then attempt to ask for a manager or supervisor with another response of they’ll call me in 30 minutes to an hour which they never did.
