Excellent customer support & what I…

Excellent customer support & what I like about Symphonic is the fact they are flexible when an Artist is self promoting they understand that sometimes you are going come over a Bot Spotify playlist or ads. We as self employed people are at various risks we don’t foresee. Record labels have this covered so their Artists don’t have to worry about it, so I thank you Symphonic 🙏

Reply from Symphonic2026-02-03

Thank you so much for sharing this, we truly appreciate it. Supporting independent and self-employed artists means understanding the realities of self-promotion and the risks that can come with it, and we’re glad that flexibility and transparency have made a difference for you.

This is a reply to the irrelevant Symphonic message: you ignored my support tickets, nothing you say has any weight.

Account Terminated Despite Full Rights Documentation

This review comes from the same label that previously left a 5-star verified review for Symphonic in 2025, praising their support and professionalism during our early collaboration. Unfortunately, our experience has changed drastically. A release that had been previously reviewed and approved by Symphonic, with full contractual documentation on file, was later flagged after a routine edit in the dashboard. We were asked to resubmit rights documentation, which we did promptly and in full — including contracts, chain of title, and clarification of derivative/remix rights. Despite full cooperation and clear documentation, the case was left in an OPEN state with no substantive review or engagement. Shortly after, our entire partner account was permanently terminated, citing broad terms such as “account irregularities” and “DSP policy circumvention,” without any specific explanation or opportunity for dialogue. No formal copyright infringement was ever confirmed, yet: All content was taken down Account access was revoked immediately Royalties were withheld Communication was unilaterally closed What is most concerning is not that Symphonic enforces compliance — that is expected — but the lack of transparency, due process, and consistency once a case is escalated internally. Prior approvals, complete documentation, and cooperative communication ultimately provided no protection or clarity. Based on this experience, labels and rights holders should understand that: Prior approval does not guarantee stability Accounts may be terminated at discretion without detailed justification Even full legal documentation may not result in a meaningful review This outcome stands in stark contrast to the experience that led us to initially recommend Symphonic, and it has significantly impacted our trust in them as a long-term distribution partner.

Reply from Symphonic2026-01-27

We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback and want to acknowledge the frustration and disruption you’re describing. We also recognize the contrast you’ve noted between your earlier experience with Symphonic and the outcome of this later review process. As a distributor, Symphonic operates within a highly complex and evolving compliance environment. Our responsibilities extend beyond initial onboarding or release approval and include ongoing obligations to DSPs and rights-holders to reassess content when changes, edits, or external signals trigger additional review requirements. In some cases, this can mean that content previously approved must be re-evaluated under stricter standards, even when documentation has already been provided. When cases are escalated internally, they are reviewed not only against the materials submitted by a partner, but also against platform policies, contractual risk thresholds, and third-party requirements that may limit what we can disclose or how we can engage once a determination is made. While we understand how this can feel opaque from the outside, these constraints are not discretionary and are designed to protect the broader ecosystem of artists, labels, and partners we serve. That said, we hear your concerns regarding communication, transparency, and consistency during escalation. These are areas we continually work to improve, particularly in high-impact situations where outcomes can affect entire catalogs and businesses. Enforcement of compliance is necessary, but we agree that clarity and process matter as well. We genuinely value the trust partners place in Symphonic and regret when an experience—especially after a previously positive relationship—leads to a loss of confidence. Your feedback has been noted and is taken seriously as part of our ongoing efforts to refine how complex compliance matters are handled and communicated. Thank you for your prior collaboration and for sharing your perspective.

Good customer service is invaluable

Symphonic has introduced this novice to the music video world and provided prompt, accurate information when I have requested help - not only referring me to their well-written FAQ's and directions for completing registrations and submitting videos or art tracks but also direct answers via e-mail from a "real" person.

Reply from Symphonic2026-01-27

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We’re really glad to hear that our team and resources helped make your introduction to music videos a smooth one. Providing clear guidance, helpful FAQs, and thoughtful support from real people is something we truly care about, so it means a lot to know that came through. We appreciate you choosing Symphonic and look forward to continuing to support you on your journey.

Very bad experience with Symphonic.

Very bad experience with Symphonic. My account has been blocked for more than a week, and I am unable to log in using Google login or email/password. The system keeps redirecting me to a new subscription payment page, even though my account was already active with live releases. At the time of this issue, my account had approximately $800 in earnings pending, and due to the sudden account access block, I am unable to view, manage, or withdraw my earnings. I have contacted support multiple times via email and support tickets, and also reached out on X (Twitter), but there has been no response or resolution even after many days. Because of this lack of support, I cannot access my dashboard, fix rejected releases, or manage my catalog. This has caused serious financial and professional issues. Extremely disappointed with the support and communication. I hope Symphonic takes responsibility and resolves account access issues promptly.

Reply from Symphonic2026-01-22

Hi Mohan, thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we’re truly sorry for the frustration and stress this situation has caused. We understand how concerning it is to lose access to your account, especially when you have active releases and earnings pending. This is not the experience we want for our artists or partners. For security and privacy reasons, we’re unable to review account details publicly, but we do want to ensure your case is properly addressed. Please reach out to our support team directly through the official support portal or by replying to your existing ticket so it can be escalated and reviewed by the appropriate team. Account access issues involving login, subscriptions, or earnings typically require a manual review, and our team will work to resolve this as quickly as possible once they have your account details. We appreciate your patience and your feedback, and we take concerns like this seriously. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make this right.

Hi Mey, thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re sorry for the frustration around the delay. Release timelines can vary depending on platform requirements, metadata review, and delivery status, but we understand how concerning it can feel when there hasn’t been a clear update. For account-specific details, we recommend reaching out to our support team through your Symphonic dashboard so we can check the status of your submission and provide a clearer update. We appreciate your patience and the opportunity to look into this further

⚠️ Lack of professionalism and failure to meet commitments

They are thieves! My contract with this company was terminated, but before that their own team clearly told me in writing that if I provided solid and verifiable evidence of ownership, they would review their decision and the royalty situation. I complied with their request and submitted official documents issued by BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.), which legally prove my rights to several works. Despite this, no clear response, no payment of the royalties due, and above all no respect for their own written commitments. Even in case of end of collaboration, the royalties generated by works whose ownership is proven must be paid. The silence and refusal of payment unfortunately give the impression that this company is withholding income that does not belong to it. Very disappointing experience. I recommend any artist to document every exchange and exercise extreme caution.

Reply from Symphonic2026-01-27

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take allegations like this very seriously and are sorry to hear about your experience. When a collaboration ends, royalties and rights matters are reviewed in accordance with contractual agreements, ownership verification, and applicable policies. While we cannot discuss account-specific details or documentation in a public forum, we want to be clear that Symphonic does not withhold royalties arbitrarily or without cause. Any royalties owed are handled based on verified ownership, contractual terms, and the outcome of internal reviews. If you have already submitted documentation and are awaiting a response, we encourage you to reply directly to your existing support ticket or contact our support team so your case can be reviewed and escalated appropriately. These situations often require detailed, manual review, which can take time, but they are not ignored.

Symphonic

Symphonic, to put it simply, is the BEST distribution company on the market. Bar none. As a professional singer, record-label exec and head of Marketing for Emitha, I have worked with 10 different distribution companies including the major players that most use, and none compare to what Symphonic offers to it's clients. While they use AI tools, they still have humans running the business that you can talk to, call, discuss strategy with, and get excited with. It's sublime. Could not recommend more highly this company!

Reply from Symphonic2026-01-27

Your trust and recommendation don’t go unnoticed, and we’re grateful to be part of your work with Emitha.
