I currently work with several distributors, and based on my experience, I used to really appreciate Symphonic Distribution. However, I am no longer comfortable with the direction their business model is taking.
In the past, releases were delivered to platforms within five working days. Since the introduction of the FAST LANE service at $15, release times have noticeably slowed down. It often feels like delays are being used to pressure users into paying for this option. In some cases, releases now take up to 14 days to be sent to platforms.
Unfortunately, Symphonic is starting to resemble DistroKid in this regard, prioritizing monetization over fair service. I understand that companies need to generate revenue, especially in today’s market, but there is a difference between sustainable business practices and aggressive upselling. Instead of pushing users toward paid shortcuts, it would be better to focus on more balanced and fair solutions.
Becoming just another DistroKid risks driving loyal clients away and pushing them toward newer distribution companies. That said, from a technical and workflow perspective, I still find the Symphonic CMS to be superior to LabelWorx, Ampsuite, and Believe Music.
It is honestly a shame to see the service degrading. Please improve the core service and remove the FAST LANE option. It makes the company look very cheap.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and candid feedback. We truly appreciate hearing from long-time partners who have worked closely with multiple distributors and can speak to both the strengths and challenges of the ecosystem.
We want to clarify that FAST LANE was introduced as an optional service for time-sensitive releases, not as a replacement for our standard delivery timelines or as a way to intentionally slow down regular submissions. Standard releases are still processed according to our internal review and delivery queues, which can vary based on volume, platform requirements, and metadata or rights checks.
That said, we hear your concern about perception, and your point about balance and fairness is valid. Feedback like this is important and is actively shared with our product and operations teams as we continue refining our services and communication around them.
I joined Symphonic in 2017, and I remain loyal to their service to this day. I've never found an aggregator as good as Symphonic.
The service is fast and responsive. Payments are always on time, never late. I hope this service continues to grow to become the best in the world.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2026, friends. May God bless us all.

Thank you so much for your loyalty and kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that our service, responsiveness, and timely payments have made a positive impact on your journey since 2017. Your support and trust mean a lot to us, and we’re committed to continuing to grow and provide the best possible experience for artists like you.
Two requests for help answered today, both raised yesterday. In an era of useless ai bots, the attention of a human team that treats artists as partners is rare amongst distributors. I moved to Symphonic a few months ago and there’s no looking back. Cream of the crop.

Thank you for sharing this — it truly means a lot. Our team works hard to make sure artists feel supported, heard, and treated like real partners, so we’re glad that came through in your experience. We’re grateful you chose Symphonic, and we’re here for you every step of the way. Appreciate you being part of the Sym Fam!
Just WOW! I’ve been working with Symphonic since the very beginning—day one actually, thanks to Basewear for connecting me with them. From the start, I’ve received nothing but first-class customer service from the team.
Honestly, sometimes I felt guilty for asking so much from support when my music income was still small, but they never stopped helping me. That kind of dedication means a lot.
Now I’m fully back, focused on my label and my music, and I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead. I’m planning to release two electronic dance music singles every month, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner on this journey.
Symphonic isn’t just the best distributor—they also share powerful insights, guidance on growing a label, and a whole range of services that make a real difference.
Big love to the team. You’re amazing. Let’s go! 🚀
