Terrible product and terrible customer service
Bought the camera set specifically as it states the solar panel will supply enough charge to power the camera with just 45minutes of sunlight a day. Well we are currently going through our third heatwave in the UK and the solar panel is useless. It barely supplies any power, I was told by Tapo customer services the solar panel may not provide enough power for the camera to function. Surely thats false advertising then ? Ive been asked 101 questions and been asked to provide information and photo after photo for 'troubleshooting'. Every day for a whole week ! Email after email asking me for this, that and the other. After day 4 and constant questioning I asked for a replacement as the solar panel is new and never worked, or according to them barely worked. Their response was go back to Amazon if you want a replacement as its the retailers responsibility in the first 30 days and because I hadnt completed 'troubleshooting' even though I had supplied everything they asked for and its quite clear the solar panel doesnt work they are not interested and putting it on Amazon's shoulders instead. Its a shame Ive bought alot of Tapo cameras in the past but if this is the way they treat customers by false advertising and then refusing to replace faulty goods, which is also illegal, certainly will not be purchasing from them again.

We really like the doorbell concept, using memory card rather than having to have a subscription, nice clear footage. When we had a recent issue with recordings playing up, Cherry from the Tapo Customer Service team was very helpful. Quick responses to our query,helpful suggestions of what to try and clear guidance on what info to send in to help work out the issue. Problem was identified and sorted out and all is well. Great Service!😀👍

Long story short
Long story short, I was trying to connect my Bluetooth whereas I should be looking in the WiFi settings! My bad, so without realising my mistake, I wrote to Tapo and almost immediately, they took the trouble to SS steps on how to configure. Super impressed with the follow up emails too!
