The system is ok. The service is generally good. My specific issue is your aggressive geo- blocking. There are 11 million U.S. citizens living permanently outside of the U.S. who are required to file taxes. You block foreign ip addresses. Your customer service (phone, Email, Social media) doesn't have any solutions. You are missing out on a lot of potential customers.
I was IP blocked from canada trying g to submit. I submitted a ticket and it said I should be able to from another computer. I was not. Finally submitted when I was visiting the US
I filed for 2025, paid nearly $150, and am unable to access a copy. I've tried multiple times, but the program seems to think I have not input anything. I need a copy in order to get a mortgage. No copy, no alternative, no home. I am VERY unhappy and will not be using your program again. There is nothing on the web site that I can find that can help me obtain a copy for my records.
Please pay attention to the support email that I sent yesterday. It’s important.
this company makes you create an account then it does not have any 1040-sr forms, or ssa form 1099sm. waste of time and frustrated.
I have used Taxslayer for two years. This year it had some serious problems. I could not get it into the logic as specified to be able to fix a rejected return. I could not get to where one had to put in a value from the prior tax year return for one's spouse. This caused the return to be rejected twice. And I think I have been charged a second filing fee. Then there is the problem of not being able to inform them of such a problem outside of coming here. Next, there was no way I could find to put into the State return that a payment had been made to the state (not an Estimated, but a direct payment to avoid a penalty). So the filing for this has to be mailed. So, beware.
I use the basics of this tax program. I have been using Taxslayer for five years. This year, when I went to pay, I had several problems. I contacted support, and they were wonderful. They stayed with my issue until it was resolved. They found something on their end, and once the issue was resolved, my payment went through. I find this site easy to use with a clear interface. The price is reasonable. I recommend it.
I provided my information like I do every year with intuit but this time with taxslayer and was able to successfully file HOWEVER not only did tax slayer mess up a number that was put in by them BUT they FAILED to tell me how much everything was. So I got $200 less on my state return AND they took $200 to process my tax return when I selected the option to take the amount to file my return out of my return. Ain't no way it would've been over $200 to file my return if I simply paid for it right then and there. Lesson learned. NEVER USE TAX SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really poor communication. There was an error with my extension to file and Taxslayer sent me one single email notifying me that there was an issue on the day I tried to file. Because of all the irrelevant emails that Taxslayer sends me around Tax Day, it got lost in the shuffle and I never saw it. They sent exactly zero follow up emails about the error with the extension to file. It's been over two months since the failure to file and I'm just now finding out that it never filed. On top of that, Taxslayer can't even tell me what the error was, just that there was some kind of error relating to some kind of unspecified thing, so the error could easily be repeated.

Unable to file return due to error on their software. Put in 3 requests for help (they say will be answered within 1 day) that were never answered. Called customer service, they said it could take a month or more before someone looked at problem. Asked for refund, they said it would take 2-3 weeks before someone could even review my request. Complete BS. Not sure they are a real company. Got refund from CC company.
Very poor software Been waiting for a month for them to fix a problem I cannot complete my federal taxes Now I'm stuck with either trying to figure out how to mail it in or doing another software company I will never use them again they do not fix their software properly and you get an error code 602 I will never use them again and never recommend them to anyone
I pay for premium service with tax professionals. I asked a bunch of questions and they said they were t tax professionals and that they could t give tax advice.

State returns and amended returns still need a lot of improvement to be worth what you pay for them—I had to look up so much information that should have been accessible in TaxSlayer to begin with.
They blocked my IP address and now I can't access my account. 7 years of tax returns that I cant access. They gave me no reason and said they could not do anything about it
I finished my federal forms but when it came to my state forms I tried to do a home heating credit & the home heating credit was combined with homestead exemption and I don't qualify for homestead exemption but I did for the home heating credit, it wouldn't allow me to do just the home heating credit exemption by itself, so I had to bypass my home heating credit which amounted to a little over $200. I sent a message to help center and their instruction's didn't resolve my problem, Very disappointed.
Everything. The step-by-step process and it even found I did in fact qualify for the EIC which took off nearly $500 that I would have owed the IRS. So thanks Tax Slayer. You guys slayed it!
Hi I used turbo tax they said free When I got my tax return from the government monies was taken out How did happen It said you took it from my return?
It is an easy experience getting my taxes completed with Tax Slayer & cost half of what a well know tax preparer.
