I have used this software for a few…
I have used this software for a few years now. I am always satisfied with the price, and the guided path when doing my taxes online. I love having the feature of the assistant at the top of my fingers in case of a question arises, it's quick response helps me get through it quickly and accurately. I will definitely refer my friends and family and lbe sure to let them know how easy it is and how efficient your software is. Very very satisfied. Thank you Taxslayer !
Ease of access. Ease of use. Thoroughness. Constant communication with the site user. I’ve used TaxSlayer for the past few years and have been very impressed with the quality and ease of use and reliability.
Text layer was OK if you experienced problems I need help you don’t have the access to help but ask questions unless you upgrade and pay your higher fee if you have any problems using their system, it should be free for them to give you an explanation of what’s wrong and how to fix it
1.For expats like me, w permanent residence abroad, this app was ANNOYING! I suggest it be revised in EVERY place that asks for an address and a phone number (which I no longer have in the U.S.)
2. Also, it did not even allow me to select the "start FREE" product and insisted on "Classic".
3.Even though their customer service was quick to respond, they clearly ignored the fact that they advertise a promo code, which I qualified for,and was told twice, I didn't!

TaxSlayer was easy to use with clear instructions and minimal effort and time. The service simply walks you through the process and provides all the required information needed for a return.
Free file for federal AND Maryland state. Most other companies that I researched did not have free state returns for MD, even when planning to use free file. The process to create an account and file from start to finish was extremely quick. I waited until April 15th at 9pm to file (yikes!), and I finished filing in about 15 minute from the time I created my account. My federal and state return was accepted the same night. Also, there was no sneaky up charges or confusing pop-ups, which really helped.
It is worst with questions that only the person who wrote them understands. I like it when it closely followed the tax documents. I quit using TurboTax because of that reason. I am going to have to use something different now.

Waaaayyy Too Expensive
This system is very easy to use and it is very helpful and I have been using for over 20 years. The prices have gotten too high and I will not be using the system next year because of the Price level compared to other electronic applications.
I did everything asked to correct my state tax return, but still blocked at 11:00 pm on 4/15/2026 from filing my state return online. I made it to the main post office by 11:45 pm to deposit it. I am still waiting to hear if I filed on time or not.
