I received an email after my latest…

I received an email after my latest visit to one of their Tesco stores asking me to fill out a survey and that I would receive 25 points to my clubcard and would be entered onto a draw to win €250 worth of shopping. I wasted my time filling out the survey and giving them my details and when I checked to see if I got my 25 points they weren't there in my app. I then contacted their on line chat to be told it can take up to 40 days to receive your 25 points. I told her it didn't say any where in the email or on the survey that it would take that long to receive them. I got no satisfaction for her whatsoever and was told they would log my concerns. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour to a loyal paying customer who have shopped with them for years.😡 Aldi will be getting more of my custom from now on. Also all the Gluten Free items are gone so expensive and the dates on them are so short when it comes to the bread. Tesco in a whole have gone so expensive. Alot more expensive then Aldi which is where il be shopping from now on!

Deliver meat that's about to expire.

They constantly, and most likely deliberately, deliver fresh meat that is just a day or so away from its useby date. I hand these back to the driver's all the time and have to be refunded. It really makes me wonder how many people get caught out by their egregious little scheme, especially the elderly. It should be illegal from a food safety standpoint but they get away with it because technically the meat was in date when sold. Horrible way to run your company. I've never seen this behaviour from Dunnes or SuperValu. I guess they have more integrity and are less about exploiting customers.

Won’t be getting Tesco delivery…

Won’t be getting Tesco delivery anymore. I am a Nenagh customer and just received my order from Tesco. I had ordered floor cleaner and Persil washing liquid and they were both in a crate on top of cold meats, cheese, veg and other perishable and odour absorbent products. This is the fourth time this has happened. Not worth the hassle.

Very poor

Due to illness, I am not able to do most shopping and I rely on Tescoes. And it is increasingly poor service. I have endless problems with using my cards on line, and I have also been told that food will be delivered at a certain time but it does not turn up. Staff are pleasant but not at all helpful. Increasingly, items that I want to buy are out of stock.. and I have to put up with losing them.

Overcharging for items and adding fees without my knowledge or consent.

I have been a Tesco customer for 20+ years. Recently, I have been using the Whoosh delivery service for small purchases instead of popping around myself. I came across an issue on June 23rd, I was charged far too much and had missing items in the delivery. I ordered 5 items to the sum of 15.74e, plus the 3.99e delivery fee. The first issue was on the payment page, apparently I had exceeded the weight limit and was forced to reduce the size of my order, so I did. The second issue was also on the payment page, the total was itemised to the value of 15.74e + 3.99e, but the total didn't add up, the total said it was 25 euro exactly. This has happened before and it usually just takes the correct amount from my account. However, it took 21.73, which didn't make sense. I thought the extra charge would be reverted, as sometimes mistakes happen. The delivery arrived without an item that cost 6.99e +90c (Dr pepper six pack). The payment didn't change, so I contacted customer care and explained I was charged too much. The payment was revised and some money went back into my account, but not the correct amount. I asked customer care why the numbers didn't add up, and as it turns out, the items cost more when you use the whoosh service. This is not visible, nor made apparent when you are purchasing, so you don't know what the price of each item is until you're sent a receipt by email, which is extremely dodgy. This hadn't been the case in previous orders, so I was very confused. They also added an extra two euro "minimum basket charge", even though I was forced to reduce the size of my order. I explained everything to the customer service reps through email. They explained that the issue with the extra fee was that, when an order is under 15 euros, they add this fee. I explained that my original order was over 15 euro, and it wasn't my fault they couldn't send the Dr.Pepper. I fully expected them to return the 2 euro, as I never agreed to pay the fee. Instead they have refused to acknowledge that it was their mistake and are going to keep my money. It's not a lot of money, the amount isn't the point. It's all very deceptive. Listing prices and then charging another price without telling you, and adding fees without your consent. That's not OK in my book, it's very shady. I really can't believe the blatant shady behaviour of such a reputable supermarket. Get it together Tesco. You've lost a customer over very little money, I hope it helps.

HORRIBLE STAFF

Your staff in tesco birr are horrible & rude. I had an incident with a staff members who was working there around 19:00 on 23/07/2026. Further on i had a discussion with one of their higher staff member from the customer service who then rectified the issue & i believe corrected the girl who was at self check out at that time & went back to buy something I forgot. After finishing then the security fella started talking to me something but I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I just told him to go back as I could understand him. Overall was a shit experience in tesco birr. Your area manager should investigate into this & see what went wrong. If you dont care about Tesco then forget about it. Not my monkey not my circus.

Worst customer service ever

Bought 2 ready meals from The Plant-it Food Company. The meals were inedible and went in the bin. They were the 2 worst meals I have ever had in my life. The meat substitute was chewy and had a horrible consistency to it. I had to wash half of it down with 7up and then threw it away! Rang tesco customer service and emailed them. They wanted me to drive 30 minutes and return the opened half eaten meals. No refund offered and their support was terrible just like the meals. Congrats Tesco you just lost a 10 year regular customer because of your poor customer service. You should be ashamed at how bad your customer service is.

The same faces at self check out---…

The same faces at self check out--- standing talking...ignoring customers help....begrudgingly coming to help when required and so cheeky .... It's like your disturbing tem if you need assistance...removing alcohol tags or items not scanning. Waiting till Tey feel ready to assist you...I would prefer now to go to dunnes where staff are pleasant

Received vouchers for 5 euro off twenty…

Received vouchers for 5 euro off twenty five. Tried to use one today at self service and said already redeemed which was untrue as never used any of them. Asked member of staff and they where so rudeinsisted I already used it which I clearly hadn't. Rude unhelpful and typical really. Shopping in dunnes from now on. Better prices, better products and better service.

Missing items - No substitutions

2 Deliveries this week from Tesco and 5 items missing with no substitutions despite showing online as in stock. It's a joke now, and unfortunate as they have great drivers and a great way to track deliveries. I had stopped with Tesco earlier in the year with deliveries because of same issue, decided to give them a go again but its back to Dunnes now where there is rarely an issue with stock.

Received my first delivery from tesco…

Received my first delivery from tesco kildare town I usually collect the guys delivered earlier than schedule which was not a problem for me however as I was in work and my husband is on crutches they kindly carried the crates in for him much appreciated great service thank you

I used to order my weekly groceries…

I used to order my weekly groceries from Tesco almost every week, but I eventually stopped because I kept receiving meat that had gone bad as soon as I opened it, even though it still had one or two days left before the use-by date. This happened around four times, so I decided to shop elsewhere. My last order before that was on May 7. On July 1, I decided to give Tesco another chance, hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. I received a pineapple that was completely covered in mould, and today (July 6) I had to throw away a pack of chicken thighs and a pack of prawns that were still within their use-by date because they had clearly gone off. It genuinely feels like the people picking online orders simply choose the worst products available, with no care, responsibility, or respect for their customers. After giving Tesco another chance and experiencing the exact same issues, I have completely lost confidence in their delivery service. This level of quality is unacceptable, especially for fresh food. I won't be ordering groceries from Tesco again.

Very disappointing experience with staff at Tesco Ashbourne

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience I had today at the Tesco Ashbourne store. While at the self-checkout area, I asked a member of staff for assistance, but her attitude was extremely rude and arrogant. As a loyal customer who chooses to spend my money at this store, the absolute minimum I expect is basic courtesy and professional behavior from the staff. Being met with arrogance is completely unacceptable. I went in to do my shopping and left with a very negative impression of the store’s customer service. I hope management addresses this with their team to ensure that customers are treated with the respect they deserve

Tesco Artane - Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service when I visited Tesco in Artane, Dublin on Wed 1st July. I needed assistance and the two ladies in Customer Service were excellent and got Lorcan to resolve the issue with the trolley. Very friendly and helpful Tesco staff. Great ambassadors for Tesco. I hope this positive feedback is relayed to the customer service ladies and Lorcan.

Security needle on the floor

We went for groceries in Tesco Extra Maynoth. My sister wanted to try some gluten free beers, so we went to alcohol section, and she step on big pin which pierced her shoe. Luckily not her foot. Lady on customer care, took the pin, said no harm is done. But her new shoe is pierced, and that is big harm on wet weather. So mind yourself when you are in shopping. You can end up with the needle in your foot. Specialy if you are wearing thin sole shoe. Negligence and ignorance. I think I will pass this store in the future.

Today in Tesco West St ,Drogheda I could not find 1 easy peeler orange that wasn't over ripened, rotten or edible. They all looked like they have been there over a week. Bring back Dunnes stores, they had beautiful easy peeler oranges
