Overpriced and low quality is an understatement. And don’t buy their dumb cleaning protection plan. Getting a cleaning claim approved through their 3rd party company is like an act of God. They say you’ll get reimbursed after 5 years if you don’t use it, but it’s for a paltry credit you can only use on furniture purchases with them of $999 or greater.
My order number was 0112841556 the people at this location were very rude and incompetent all I wanted was to see the living room set that I purchased at the Lombard location. I was very disappointed about the service that they provided that I decided to go back to Lombard location and cancel the order and buy a different set.

THE MANAGER IS GREAT! He took us around the show room and explained everything about the sales they had going on. He was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He also directed us to a salesman who were just as great and made our purchasing experience smooth and wonderful. I love the roomplace I have been shopping here for at least 18 years.

Sam is an excellent salesman and helped us find a couch we loved. Amazing customer service and great atmosphere really felt like he was trying to help us and not just trying to sell us the highest ticket item.
The sales person i worked with was very knowledgeable and helpful. I went in a few times to take another look at it because it was very different from the stye i have already, and each time she was attentive and helpful.
Richard, the manager from the Algonquin store, he made the experience, once again, excellent! This is my 5th time purchasing from The Room Place and, each time, his level of service, communication, attention to detail, and ease in delivery have made me a loyal customer. My husband & I found a sofa/love seat at the RoomPlace in Algonquin, IL at the beginning of Sept. We purchased them, but were on backorder. No problem. My husband found info online to get free delivery (it was going to cost approx $150.). He emailed the sales associate the info, & also left a msg to have him call us. The sales assoc never called us, never responded to the email we sent. We called again, no response. My husband ended up going in to the store to talk to our salesman to see if we would get free delivery. He was told this situation would be forwarded to the GM. Never heard from the GM either!! He emailed their customer service with all the info. He was called back, but said the woman could not have been any more rude! She said she'd follow up, but never did. I have worked in retail mgmt for years, & cannot even fathom not getting back to a customer!!! What poor customer service! After several weeks, we decided to see if this sofa/loveseat could be found elsewhere. We did find it online, for a better price than the RoomPlace. So we cancelled the RoomPlace order. My husband then got a call from customer service. He explained that if we had any issues after the delivery, we didn't know if anyone would respond or even care. I will not step inside a RoomPlace again. We were left hanging, no one, including the GM, ever felt it necessary to contact us. The epitome of poor customer service!!!

There are several pieces I would rate higher and several lower so average of that is 3 stars. My original order was cancelled without my knowledge. I called and was told the mattress was unavailable not the whole set. I wasn’t even told on the phone. The. I was sent mattresses that was not in my budget plan. Then I call and text still not told whole order was cancelled. Then I found a st that was definitely not in comparison to the original but I could do it they didn’t have size so I went to queen and it didn’t come with the same amount of pieces but I wasn’t told it. None the less it was ordered and scheduling didn’t call in the allotted time. So my ordered wasn’t going to be delivered that week so when I spoke with rep he sent an email and still no response. It was just not a great experience and this is just a summary but I won’t do it again and for the cost it is a cheaper wood that breaks if not paying attn.
