I sent my TIPM unit in to be rebuilt

I sent my TIPM unit in to be rebuilt. I tracked the unit alway to the company and was notified when it arrived. I waited a week and didn’t receive any communication. So I called and talked to the Ai bot and was told it was waiting shipment back. A few more days still nothing. I called back and asked to talk to a rep. They told me that the technician said it will be sent out the coming week. I waited and still nothing. I called back at the end of the week and they tell me they would call me back. Then I talk to Brittany. Which she could not articulate any information and was poor at customer service. She told me I needed to send another $300 because they couldn’t fix mine. Which sounded like a scam because I was just told for 2 weeks that it was waiting to be shipped. So I told her to refund my money and I had to pay an extra $45 for overnight shipping so I didn’t have to wait another week to get my unit back. And still lost another $125 because they charged me a test fee for telling me it was broke and they couldn’t fix it. Which I already knew it was broke. Poor communication. Poor customer service. Not a trustworthy business.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience! They are crooks! Customer service sucks! After getting the TIPM from then my Truck would not turn over or start. Had to have it towed to the shop. They found a blown fuse in my TIPM. They got my truck running but dash lights were on for my traction control, ABS, and brake. Drive truck 2 weeks and then no start again. Had trucked towed again and this time they found one of the integrated relays was bad and had to install bypass kit. Been back and forth with them for over a month to get another rebuilt TPIM but they said they didn't have any but would sell me a new one if I played over $400 difference. Asked for a refund and they would not work with me. Don't Buy!!!!

Frustrating customer service

The part worked and arrived on time, and in the ordering process I was able to make contact with what seemed like a human. However after install my traction control and ABS lights remained on and while trying to trouble shoot, I have been unable to get a response. The automated customer support channels do not offer a pathway to speak to a human and texts replies are not consistent which and is very frustrating.

Absolutely no help from customer support

I had Maks rebuild my tipm, and I also bought some plugs from them to use on my TIPM. They sent the plugs with no pins in them. I’ve been asking them for just about a month for this information of the size of the pins I need. Still haven’t received anything terrible customer service will not be doing business with them nor recommending them to anyone.

Worst costumer service

I received my tpim back for my 2011 ram 1500. It didn’t stop having the same issues. Customer service is awful, unknowledgeable, not located in the same building, and doesn’t want to warranty it. You can’t talk to the technician who worked on it. They had me do all there reset procedures that didn’t work. Then I had to wait four days for email responses, on 3 occasions. Three weeks later I give up. I’m not restarting tho process 4 times. I’m going to put a jumper wire in so my fan and fuel pump work. It’s been so frustrating and not worth it.

This is the second time I have used…

This is the second time I have used them. They are great and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I had a bad experience with a big online store that does ECM rebuilds. They lost my computer and blamed it on me. Do your due diligence and check reviews on the BBB. I had to learn the hard way. I have total trust in this company and there employees. Thanks.

I rarely leave reviews but...

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience needs to be documented. I purchased a BCM replacement for a Jeep Renegade from MAKS, including their cloning service, for a vehicle that belongs to my elderly grandmother who is currently battling cancer. Reliable transportation isn’t optional in this situation—it’s critical. I paid for expedited service and immediately shipped my original unit. Tracking showed it was delivered within three days, yet it took MAKS over a week and a half just to acknowledge receipt. After that delay, it took another full week for them to inform me the unit couldn’t be cloned and that they would instead send a blank BCM to be programmed at a dealership. From there, the delays continued. It took yet another week just to finalize that decision, issue a refund for the cloning service, and ship the replacement unit. When I finally got the BCM to the dealership for programming, it presented with a random VIN. After additional effort, the dealer was able to manually input the VIN and complete programming, only to determine the BCM itself is faulty—it will not communicate with the PCM, resulting in a no-start condition and an “Invalid Key” error. I reached out to MAKS for support over a week ago. Since then, communication has been consistently poor. I’ve received multiple promises of follow-ups “by end of day” that never came. Their last response was on Tuesday, despite several follow-up emails on my end. At this point, my grandmother has been without transportation for over 30 days due to a combination of delays, poor communication, and what appears to be a defective part. This situation has directly impacted her ability to attend medical appointments. This has been an unacceptable experience from start to finish—slow processing, lack of accountability, poor communication, and ultimately a product that does not work. I strongly recommend others look elsewhere. I will be retaining legal counsel and working with my banking partners to recoup costs if unable to reach a resolution before the weekend.

TIPM fuel pump relay bypass

Was searching for information on my Jeeps starting problem. Found your website with the exact information on fixing it. The fuel pump relay circuit. Ordered the kit and got it a few days later. Followed the installation instructions, a little intimidating but got threw it and seems to have fixed the problem so far.

Beware of defective TIPMs

I have purchased two TIPMs from this place. The first was a rebuild TIPM, I installed it on my Ram 2012. Tested it and it was defective. I returned it and told them I wanted a new TIPM this time. After receiving & installing the, suppositive new TIPM, it worked for a little over a year, and it gave out as well. I called them to see if there was something they could do seeing that their product had failed twice. They refused to help. I suspect the second TIPM they sold me as new, was more than likely a rebuild TIPM. I would discourage anyone from buying from these people.

They fixed my Tipm fast and my truck…

They fixed my Tipm fast and my truck runs great now. For the price and the experience, you can't beat it with a lead pipe. There are video's that show you what to do step by step and they fixed and tested everything on my Tipm. I can't speak highly enough about Maks Tipm rebuilders. They saved me a bundle.

Revised

I have given this company a bad review. They went above and beyond to fix the problem! I now have a great working TIPM! Thank you so much!! Once we were able to identify that the aftermarket fan was the cause and the original fan was installed, everything worked just fine. Aftermarket fans do not work with the TIPM on a 2013 Jeep !

Very Cost and Time Effective, Quality Repair

They kept in contact with me thoroughly throughout the receiving, repair, troubleshooting, and shipping process. Very reasonable price for a quality repair and timely return back to me so I could get back on the road. Only took about a week to ship to them, repair, and get my part back. Truck has been running great with no issues ever since I re-installed the repaired TIPM about two weeks ago! Would highly recommend for anyone like me who doesn't want to risk trying to fix a circuit board themselves!

Affordable testing/repair

I appreciated having an affordable option for testing and repair of my TIPM. MAKS was the best price I found. Ordering and shipping is simple and you're kept updated through each step of the process and are given recommendations of other things to check if the TIPM isn't the issue. My TIPM was tested and returned in just a couple weeks.
