My food was not packed in ice and some of the food could not be eaten. You still do not include Ropa Viejo on your menu. That’s why I don’t buy very often anymore.
Just what was needed
This was the 4th order I have placed to assist family members who were unable to prepare meals. This time I purchased a gift certificate that was emailed by Top Chef to the recipients. I received a call from my sister within 10 minutes after the order was placed. She was so pleased, she was in tears. When the order arrived, my sister a text telling us what they would have that night. They were so happy to have the selection of meals to choose from and the ease of preparation. Top Chef has come through for me once again.

Portions are small on most meals. Turkey didn't taste fresh this time. Love the brisket but the portion is very small. Love the Pork ragu with polenta. I'm not sure I will be ordering again as there is only free shipping after 16 meals. Website is not the best. I had to call the last time to get my order through because the name of the item I was ordering had changed and the website was not updated.

My 102 year old mom consistently loves her meal, most important. Unfortunately I took off a star because of my problems with the website. Sometimes when I'm checking out it, it stops me and says, Some of the products in this order are no longer available. Doesn't tell me which ones so it's up to me to figure it out. So I need to substitute each of the 5 meals in order to check out. I called them and they are apparently outsourcing customer service so no one can save me the time. Talked to someone before about this, and nothing has changed. Too bad because otherwise they are excellent and recommend them.
Gift orders
After I ordered, a representative called because the shipping and billing addresses were different. This was a gift order so the different addresses were necessary however I had one thing incorrect on the shipping address and was able to change it on this call. That was fortunate. The representative was lovely. An option for gift messages on gift orders would be nice. I received Top Chef Meals as a gift and they were really good.

I tried to order a small sampling of their meals (less than dozen). FedEx totally failed to deliver until 3 days after posted delivery date (by which time the meals had gone bad). Customer service immediately refunded 100% of my money. They resent my order packed in with a full 21 piece order to a nearby friend with no shipping charge. The order arrived exactly on time with FedEx. Meals are very balanced and tasty. They are family owned and operated, and take great pride in their products and customer service
