About this business

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Traveler's Joy continues to grow into a new decade and we're all very excited at what the future will bring. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or quotes (or just want to say "Hi!"), always feel free to contact us! You are the lifeblood of our business and the keeper of our hearts.

What people say

The service ended up being confusing…

The service ended up being confusing for our guests. Only a single person used it. Since it serves as a "middle man' without providing any real benefit other than a wedding website, most people ignored it entirely. Nothing negative transpired, and we received funds for the one guest who used it (minus the fees we both paid to Traveler's Joy) quickly. No complaints, but nothing I could recommend, either.

Hi Sara, Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry you received one gift on your registry. That must have been very frustrating. The mission at Traveler's Joy is to inspire couples to take a once in a lifetime trip with their new, life partner and to help them actually take that trip using our registry. Clearly that did not happen to you and I'm so sorry. Around 80% of the couples that use Traveler's Joy end up receiving more in gifts than they originally registered for but I'm sorry that was not the case for you. Please email me directly so we can determine if there is a way to make your overall experience with Traveler's Joy a better one than it stands right now.
