We have been purchasing Travel Guard for over 8 years. Best service and coverage. Love the pre-existing bonus. I tell everyone about Travel Guard. Not the cheapest but the best coverage. Paying hospital direct is another big plus!

DONT BUY THEIR PROTECTION PLAN THEY WILL MAKE YOU JUMP THROUGH HOOPS EVEN IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THE TIME STATED IN THEIR POLICY. THEY WILL MAKE YOU SIGN YOUR LIFE OVER WITH A THREE PAGE REQUEST ON WHY YOU HAD TO CANCEL. NEVER DOING BUSINESS WITH HOTELS.COM OR TRAVEL GUARD. SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH TRIVAGO

The flight was delayed for more than 6 hours due to weather. They made me submit whole lots of documents and explanations and even evidence of weather inclement. Now they still want a letter from the airplane company with weather inclement mentioned in the reasons for delay. Why do I have to be the one submitting this evidence. Why dont they ask the airplane..arent they connected. Every time i submit a document it takes 10 days to review..I wish there was 0 stars cause they deserve it!
I cancelled my flight within 24 hours…
I cancelled my flight within 24 hours and this should be automatically cancelled too when doing so. Theres only a 15 day full refund policy which is unreasonable. I started to dispute with my cc within that time and now I have a voucher I will never ever use. I would never buy this again.

TRAVEL GUARD CLAIM # UC8117301702 ...THIS IS WHATS GOING ON !! Do not purchase travel insurance from TRAVEL GUARD , It's a total waste of time and money! I purchased one room on Hotels.com for July 4- 5 2026 and at the end of the purchase right before you check out you have the option to buy the travel guard insurance, It says one click and your worry free for any cancelation that might accure! We'll that's wrong ! You will get ripped off - Cheated- Swindled- out of your money!! They will not pay ! THEY (TRAVEL GUARD) Wanted me to violate HIPAA rights of my mother's health issues and to have her sign over her medical records from IRVINE MEDICAL CENTER in irvine CA ( IN WHICH SHE IS STILL THERE IN THE ICU UNIT AS OF TODAY'S DATE 07-26-2026 INTUBATED AND NOT ABLE TO GIVE CONSENT TO ANYONE OR ANYTHING) TO TRAVEL GUARD AND WHOMEVER ELSE WILL VIEW THEM WITHIN THIS COMPANY! For the cost of $132.65 Due to the cancelation of a hotel room on HOTELS.COM. Unbelievable!! What ever it takes TRAVEL GUARD will find a way to weasel there company out of paying at apparently ALL COST !! Uses dishonest tactics in negotiations and use deception, misdirection and use manipulation behaviors you could not imagine! Travel guard will have you "GO THROUGH HOOP'S " And all the time knowing the customer will be wasting there time, And knowing they will never see a cent ! DO NOT USE TRAVEL GUARD!! I HAVE FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY WITH MANY OF HOUR'S ON THE PHONE WITH THERE AGENTS !! I am writing this review as we are still trying to haggle with travelguard who is giving us a runaround.We purchased travelguard insurance for our flight to Germany which was never completed.It has been over 2 months and we have not heard from travelguard .Very disappointing!!
