Materials are clear and thorough and the process is painless. The levels of coverage helps to have specific higher level coverages not having to be funded by users who don't need those coverages. This is the second trip I've insured with Travel Guard having had really good experiences with needing to make claims on the first trip.

Great company; great service

After using AIG Travel Guard for some years now, I filed my first claim for a medical issue. The claims adjustor responded quickly to the claim, requested certain documents and, once he received them, sent me a check for the amount. Travelguard is a scam they denied my claim for BS reason stating pre existing conditions. I had no idea I was going to have to see a specialist which my doctor recommended ASAP. When I purchased the insurance it did state for sickness or injury, it is a conflicting and misleading statement!! Travelguard has denied alot of claims on that statement alone.

We have always used travel guard. Had to get reimbursed once quite a few years ago for something, can’t remember what, but they were easy to work with. I have priced out other travel insurance companies and travel guard is a great value.

Paperwork submitted but they keep asking for same info

Tried to submit a claim. Submitted all paperwork via the portal. Received an e-mail about a week later asking for the same info. Info was sent via e-mail since it was previously submitted via the portal. Sent 2 f/u e-mails asking that they confirm receipt. 2 weeks after the materials were originally submitted they same information was requested again and they never acknowledged receipt. Tried to calling but the routing system doesn't allow you to speak to a representative. Had to select other options (as if I needed to change a plan) so that I could talk with someone and get routed to the right department. It's been a month since the claim was first submitted and am still getting the run around. I would seek another agency in the future if travel insurance is to be purchased.

I have been purchasing trip insurance through Travel Guard for years. In that time I have made two claims. In both instances, claims were handled quickly and I received full payments.

Used them before

Used them before. Have never filed a claim but they will cover a non-traveling immediate family member. Easy to use the web site too.
