Book through an airline, not a third party

This whole experience with Travoport has been a pain in the ass! They weren’t clear at all when I first booked my flights. I have had to talk to multiple people about all this with something that was so easy to do. I initially went with Travoport cause it said it was a cheap flight when in reality it costed me an arm and a leg. You end up paying twice. Once with Travoport and once through the actual airline. Travoport has made my experience with third parties awful and I don’t recommend third parties for flights and I definitely won’t be doing that again. I had one good experience with one of the ladies on Sunday 4-19-2026 and she was quick and easy to work with and helped me in less than 10 minutes. When I first booked my flights, I had to call them and fix something and I was on hold for OVER 2 hrs. I just called this third party cause I needed to get my boarding pass for my flight home tomorrow, and the first guy I talked to, his first name is Max, he did not want to listen to me or help me so I hung up and called again. I got connected to Jessica Martin where she also put me on hold a couple times but she listened to my story I had about my easy and fast experience on the 19th and I finally got my boarding passes sent to me from her. Overall this experience with Travoport is probably 2/5 stars but I’m going to give 3 for the two ladies that gave me my boarding passes.

Never again

Never again! They contacted me and said the rates changed and I needed to pay an additional $180 or I would lose what I already paid. Bait and switch is what it is, in my opinion.

Going through 3rd party is more expensive but travel port made an effort to bring down the total cost as much as they could.

I had a very bad experience with this…

I had a very bad experience with this company. I purchased airline tickets through their website and completed the payment based on the price shown on their portal. However, the next day I received about five emails and six phone calls insisting that I contact them urgently. When I finally spoke with them, I was told that I had to pay an additional $400 per ticket because, according to them, American Airlines said there were no seats available for the dates I selected, even though the tickets had already been sold and paid for. I spoke with a supervisor who repeatedly tried to persuade me to pay the additional amount. I clearly told him no, explaining that I had already paid the full price shown on their website. He continued insisting and stated that my only options were to pay the extra money or have the tickets placed on hold until next year. I requested a refund, but they refused, stating that due to their policies they do not issue refunds. Essentially, they force you to either accept their terms after payment or keep your money without providing the service. This company is not trustworthy and appears to take advantage of customers. I do not recommend using their services.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. I bought flight tickets for my daughter. My bank did a fraud alert and denied it. So like they said I tried again. They called me later and said they charged me twice but will refund both but give me tickets $400 more than I originally purchased. They were extremely rude and disrespectful on the phone. Would not answer my questions but gave me runaround when I asked direct questions. This was all in the same day so not like I tried to change my plans weeks after. Horrible experience. Do not use this site.

They scammed me

They scammed me, I booked a flight at a specific price point and as soon as the payment processed they called me within 30x minutes to tell me the price / flight was no longer available. I then had to pay more for a worse option, and the original price is still showing as available on their website. To make matters worse, the flight I ended up booking is showing as available on other sites / directly with the airline for almost 50% of the price I ended up paying. DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

Experience

I found a decent rate for a flight from salt lake to Cancun for my 25th anniversary with my wife! I paid for the flight and then got a call back saying it was being canceled and I needed to pay a few hundred dollars more to keep the flight, this did not make me happy whereas I didn't have a lot of money to go on this trip in the first place. But after a couple hours on the phone talking to a supervisor who is bending over backwards to help me and try to find another location to go and getting me discounts to keep me going to Cancun he finally made it work and I didn't have to pay any extra and I'm so excited to go and so thankful for this employee I believe his name was Lucas but I can't remember and it's not on the email but he is a cool dude!

Travoport admits they are a scam in the fine print!

This company is a complete scam. They make a flight reservation at an artificial low price using your credit CARD INFO. The reservation is with them and not any airline! They then contact you that there is an "issue" with the reservation with the airline. And then they show an artificially high price that may be double the original quoted price. When I called their Supervisor ( in India) he told me to read the fine print!! Travoport is a scam from top to bottom.

It's a scam

It's a scam; they stole 778.00. And they have a claim that it's non-refundable... Not Travelport, but Travoport is a huge scam, don't confuse the two. Indians answered the phone. It's a terrible experience; there is nothing worse than a thief.

They will extract money from your bank…

They will extract money from your bank account and give you nothing you can’t get on your own. After my scam and the upgraded ticket I paid for with Southwest Airlines I called Southwest Airlines and they recommended I cancel the ticket from Travoport and rebook direct with Southwest Airlines, which was exactly the same amount as my ticket upgrade that Travoport gave me to the penny, and they also suggested using a different credit card and cancelling the credit card I used with Travoport. I followed their suggestion but in the end I was scammed for $254.!

If I could give them zero stars I would. This company is a total scam! DO NOT USE THEM. I don’t travel much, I didn’t think with a 4.1 average I’d be scammed, but low and behold I was SCAMMED! Bought my ticket for 230.00 RT to Santa Fe from Orange County CA then an hour later this company called and said that the airlines alerted them and that I would have to upgrade with no cancellation or refund. I had to pay 220,00 more. Now I’ve paid more than the airlines would have charged me. It’s total bullshit!!

Total Scam!!

Total Scam!!! Beware of these people they are a total scam! We purchased a ticket for my daughter and turns out there was no ticket. We call them to find out why we didn't get a ticket and we got the ran around from one Agent to another. We asked for a Manager and non- English speaking woman name Kim Smith who was very rude and would not even listen to what we are saying. We got the bait and switched scam!!! after the frustration we ended up purchasing another ticket directly from the airline which cause us a lot of money for purchasing a ticket on the same day. Please be warned do not book tickets from this website at all...
