Everything about this starting process was simple and easy. Clear communication, eagerness to help and get me started. Within moments of answering a few online questions. I was connected with someone to look into what could be done, and got the ball rolling. Only giving 3 stars at the moment because the only thing I've experienced so far is their customer service which was solid. About 4 months ago my phone rang while working on my ledger trying to figure out how I was going to work this next month out . A James Hilgreen from United Settlement was on the other line. We had spoken about a year prior while I was searching for away to Revive my myself, Finances. Of course this call was a distraction at the Time. ButJames asked me about whom I had hired an how that was working out. James reminded me of our onversation a year ago an was things better? He then made a statement that really made me go What.?? I thought the law firm I hired was taking care of business for me. But James said in the last year nothing No one had been paid! I've been sending my monthly payments assuming everything was on track. So, I stopped and called the firm I hired. It seems thru terminology I misunderdtood??? I called James back. We talked more. I paid a large enough sum of money to pay off all of my credit cards but I have to call in after each one is settled to ask for each card to be paid in full asap so my credit score improves sooner. I also talked to a manager after I paid that amount so I know the accounts are noted to be handled that way, but I still have to call every time.

creditor are working with united to resolve my debts that I would have never got paid off just making the minimum payment that only pays interest pretty much. It's only been 3 months and my credit score is already going back up since I've been with united. My payments are half of what my minimum payment to creditor were. It's going to take 3 yrs what would have taken 30 yrs to be debt free.
