Abysmal Customer Service
UODATE: They just responded a second time and the more they respond the more they reveal themselves. They said their records show I did not press the yellow Paypal button. If I wouldn’t have pressed the button, I could not have gotten the error message that Paypal couldn’t be accessed at that time. Of course I pressed the yellow Paypal button - dozens of times as I kept following the advice in their help documents of trying again - I tried again for four hours before I followed the second piece of advice of contacting them, at which time I got similar stupid advice of pressing the Paypal button when I had been doing so - and getting an error code each time I did - for four hours. It is the bad customer service answers the reason I won’t shop with them again and now I really won’t ever shop with them again. Screenshotting their two responses now. UPDATE: Adagio answered this telling me they were sorry my Paypal account isn’t working. Blaming the customer when my Paypal is working perfectly with everyone but them. Very bad form. My PayPal account is working just fine. I used it the day this occurred and today with other companies with no problems. My computer engineer husband assured me it’s on their end. Their help documentation says they have this problem with paypal from time to time and when it happens to try again and if that doesn’t work to contact them. I contacted them like the help document said to do and they told me to press the yellow paypal button like I was too stupid to figure out that’s how you start a Paypal payment. When I told them I’d already done that they told me other customers were using paypal successfully so they wouldn’t help me even though their help documents said they would. Now they come here where the public can see their response and try to give me a possible answer. No thank you. They should have helped me when I was talking with them privately. I won’t shop with them and risk poor private customer service again. There are a lot of great places to buy tea from who give you good customer service when they don’t have an audience. I will buy my tea from them. ORIGINAL POST: They had a special that allowed you to sample teas, so I put the ones I wanted to sample in my cart and tried to check out. I got a Paypal error. I retried several times and kept getting a paypal error - and I might add my paypal worked just fine for any other purchases that day. My husband is a computer engineer, so I asked him to look at it. He was confident it was on their end, so he told me to read their help documents and do what they instructed, so I did. The help documents said that sometimes paypal isn’t accepted and when this happens to try again later and if it still doesn’t work to contact them and gave an email where I could contact them. I tried many times and it wouldn’t work, so I finally sent an email to the email address provided. I got an answer that I needed to click on the yellow paypal button. Duh! I obviously clicked on that button or I couldn’t have gotten the paypal error message. So, I wrote back and told them I’d obviously pressed that button so what was the answer from here. They wrote back and told me other customers were successful using Paypal, so it was my problem. I then made them aware that my computer engineer husband said it was not on our end and that their help documents said this could happen and when it does to try again and if that doesn’t work to contact them - yet contacting them was getting me these horrible answers. I ended my response by telling them the message is loud and clear - that they don’t want a new customer who spends a lot of money on tea and the message is received so I won’t shop with them any more. I’m so sick of bad customer service that I’m not going to waste energy fighting companies that give bad customer service. Bad customer service is a big clear message that they don’t want my business, so I will listen to that and not shop with those companies any more and share reviews to save other customers the frustration. I won’t be shopping with this company.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Thanks for your interest in our teas! edit: Rhonda, we see that you had selected PayPal as your payment method, but then did not click the button to link your PayPal account to pay for the order. If you go to checkout and click the yellow "PayPal Checkout" button after selecting PayPal as your payment method, you will have no trouble.

I love Adagio Teas
I love Adagio Teas! I've been ordering from them for several years. They have a wonderful variety of high quality tea and tea blends. One of my favorite features of this company is the variety of fandom-inspired tea blends that they sell! I've loved the tea blends and the fan art of the tins that are part of this collection! I've also made a habit of either gifting or ordering their tea advent calendars. The design quality of the calendar itself is wonderful and the teas will keep you in the holiday spirit all month!

I've used Adagio for years and have continued to be smitten with their products and service! The biggest draw of Adagio as opposed to other tea retailers has to be their focus on user participation. Users are able to create their own blends and add their own artwork to the packaging. This allows for mixes of tea that the typical tea retailer would never have in stock. But, because of Adagio's unique formula where users choose the individual ingredients, and thus, when the particular blend is ordered, Adagio puts together the mix as orders come in, it allows tons of customization.

I have been a customer of Adagio Teas for many years. They have a wide variety of excellent teas as well as an excellent customer service department. Customers may alert the company to certain allergies, and once done, the customer will receive an alert if they are about to order a tea containing that item, such a strawberries. Shipping is can take from 3 days to two weeks. The company offers a wide range of specials to build and keep their customer base. Some teas are exceptionally pricey.

First order - a glitch but rectified quickly
First order with adagio (order number 119094 placed 8Mar24 if someone from adagio is reading this). Ordered some teas and a set of 3 yellow tea storage tins but only one tin sent which give a good impression on my first ever order with them. I can find no email or direct way to contact them on the website Edit - found email on FB page and have been promptly contacted by Uk customer services who will look into it so hoping for a speedy resolution UPDATE 18Mar24, missing tins sent so all resolved.

Don't waste your money on the tins!
Some of the teas are quite good, but...whatever you do DO NOT BUY THE TIN. They are at twice the cost of a regular sample but with less tea and in a completely useless tin that causes the tea to spill about as you open it. The tin is completely non-functional causing the need to transfer the tea to another container or bag. I purchased a total of 6 different tins, 1 tin contained .58 oz of tea while the others contained. 75 oz. It's not surprising that it does not list anywhere how much tea there should be in a tin. At $6 each I would have expected a sample larger than or certainly not less than the amount of a regular sample. I will not ever purchase tins again.

Hello Brandy, sorry to hear about your disappointment. We do not list the weights of the signature blends because each tin will be different, depending on the blend. Our team hand makes every custom blend and stuffs them as full as possible. Depending on the ingredients, each tin will have different weights. Hope you can understand!
I have enjoyed Adagio teas for a few…
I have enjoyed Adagio teas for a few years with no problems. Until this last order. It has been 5 weeks since I ordered and no sign of my rea. I called customer service who told me 2 weeks ago that they would ask for a report from shipper. I contacted a week later and was told they would contact me when they have news. I have asked for a refund and no answer back. I have sent off another email today. Wonder what will happen?

I have tried over 100 of their teas. They offer inexpensive (yet generously sized) samples of all of their tea varieties. They provide clear descriptions of all of the ingredients in each tea, and seek to educate people about the origins of the tea and the lives of the farmers. Even if I didn't care for a particular tea I tried, I could still tell that it was of high quality (and just not "my thing"). Adagio has a loyalty club that recognizes people who contribute to the community and who are frequent buyers. If you use their website, they'll connect you with "Masters", which are more refined, elevated teas. There are a few that you need to try if you love tea -- check out the Da Hong Pao ("big red robe") Wuyi rock oolong.
