The rooms I booked at the hotel do not match the photos shown on the Agoda website. There is also no water in the bathroom. Furthermore, neither the hotel staff nor management are responding to the problem. My Agoda booking number is 2057303882

I booked private transport through agodas website for my mam. When she arrived at her destination, she didn't get what I ordered, it was a shared mini bus with 11 other people. I got onto the company that agoda books through and they investigated into it. They got back and said they would refund 50% of the fare, I wasn't happy because if I booked a shared mini bus it would cost alot cheaper. I am still waiting on that refund nearly 3 weeks later. I cancelled her return transfers and got deducted €10 even though on agodas website it says full refund. The third party company said I have to get onto agoda as they are the ones that give the refunds. I have emailed agoda twice no reply. I have done the live chat and got told they can't help as they only deal with the accommodation side. So be aware when booking transfers through agoda, if something goes wrong you can't find help off agoda.
Thank you for replying but
I have tired all the links ye have given in yere reply but none of them deal with transfers. I am 4 weeks now and still no refund and no one to contact.

This is complete scam and misleading information, they showed me a property in their map 550m away from the burnham park baguio, and when i booked it, the owner send me a google map route which is 3.1k away from the park. when i asked for a cancelation and refund from their customert service after explaining in full details what happened which is due to a misleading information they offered 70% and put the reason as "due to change of plan". This is outragous and SCAM at best.

Avoid Booking Flights Through Agoda — Two Layers of Intermediaries and Endless Demands for Proof That Doesn't Exist!
I had to cancel my flight due to a sudden illness, so I contacted the airline directly. The airline cancelled my booking and processed the refund on the same day. I initially assumed the refund would go directly back to my bank account, but I later discovered that Agoda uses an intermediary between itself and the airline. The money apparently needs to pass through this intermediary before Agoda can refund the customer.
Agoda then asked me to provide proof that the airline had issued the refund. I contacted the airline again and requested an official written confirmation, but the airline told me it could not provide such a document. Instead, its customer service advised me to submit screenshots of our conversation so Agoda could forward them to its intermediary.
Initially, Agoda indicated that the screenshots would be sufficient. However, it later changed its position and told me that the screenshots could not prove that the refund had been issued. It then demanded further official proof from the airline, even though the airline had already explicitly stated that it could not provide such a document.
I have already submitted the relevant chat records, including the airline's explanation that it cannot issue the requested certificate. Yet Agoda continues to insist on documentation that is impossible for me to obtain.
How is a customer supposed to resolve this issue when the airline says it cannot provide the document and Agoda refuses to accept the available evidence? Why should I be repeatedly sent back to the airline to request the same impossible document instead of Agoda coordinating directly with its own intermediary?
The entire process is exhausting and unreasonable. Booking through Agoda means dealing with an additional layer of intermediaries, while the customer is left to bear the burden when communication breaks down. Rather than taking responsibility and finding a workable solution, Agoda keeps asking me for more documents that simply do not exist.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise other travellers to think carefully before booking flights through Agoda. When something goes wrong, resolving a refund may become far more complicated than expected, and the customer may end up caught between multiple parties with no clear resolution.

Agoda accepts dishonest accomodations who publish attractive fares and accept reservations with confirmed status in Agoda's website. However, as prices increase due to overinflated occupancy, they are left free to cancel under the excuse of "wrong rates", all under Agoda"s knowledge.
I made for octuber 2026, two different reservations in Rome with months of antelation. The fist one was cacelled by the hotel days before, and for the second one I was asked in reception extra payment of 200% above what already was cancelled via Agoda... I would have paid 3x original published rate of my confirmed reservation... All under permissive Agoda' investigation and acqaintance...
Being asked for more info:
ID939485838 was cancelled just days before, after the hotel claimed incorrect rate, even though months had passed without notice since it was confirmed. An explanation was asked to Agoda several times including if the next reservation at the same hotel could be subject to cancellation. No answer was received from Agoda nor the Hotel for this other next reservation ID939485838.
ID939500202 was cancelled afterwards my arrival with baggage in hand at reception desk, and being asked extra payment over already paid in full reservation made montns before.
With booking numbers I am sure Agoda could have extra info asked.

WARNING: Agoda left me paying for a filthy hotel — even after management approved cancellation
⭐ 1/5 — Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Book at your own risk!
If you think booking through Agoda gives you any meaningful consumer protection when something goes wrong, think again.
I booked what was advertised as a 4-star hotel in London through Agoda. What I found was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I've ever encountered. The mattress was badly stained, the pillows and towels were filthy, the bathroom was dirty, and underneath the bed were alarming amounts of dust and dirt. The condition of the bedding made me concerned about possible bed bugs. The property looked nothing like the advertised photographs and, in my opinion, wouldn't even qualify as a 2-star hotel.
I immediately contacted Agoda, provided evidence and requested to cancel the unused second night. I was prepared to pay for the first night, despite the appalling conditions.
This is where Agoda's customer service became even more shocking than the hotel itself.
I was told the booking had been made through their partner, Expedia, meaning Agoda needed Expedia's approval, which in turn depended on the hotel authorising the refund.
Agoda subsequently claimed that the hotel had refused. However, I personally spoke with the hotel manager, who clearly stated that she had authorised the cancellation. I have an audio recording of that conversation.
So who is telling the truth? Why am I receiving contradictory information? And why should a customer have to investigate the relationships between Agoda, Expedia and the hotel just to obtain a refund for unacceptable accommodation?
Despite my evidence, Agoda offered just $30.20 in AgodaCash, valid for six months and subject to restrictions, instead of refunding the unused night.
I have now escalated the matter to my bank and intend to pursue a formal consumer complaint.
My advice: Be extremely careful booking through Agoda. Their attractive prices mean very little if you are left without effective assistance when something goes wrong.
Book directly with a reputable hotel chain whenever possible, pay by credit card, and photograph or record everything immediately if the accommodation is unacceptable.
I have photographs, videos, correspondence and an audio recording to support my account.
Agoda, this is not how paying customers should be treated.

Do not be fooled by Agoda's Reservation Guarantee!
Do not be fooled by Agoda's Reservation Guarantee. They want you to think that booking with them is practically risk-free by promising relocation assistance or a refund if a hotel cannot honour your booking. I found out the hard way that this is nothing but a lie.
I've been their customer since at least 2009 and have made countless bookings over the years. We only ever stay at 4 or 5 star properties, so when issues occasionally arose, the hotels themselves were more than capable of sorting things out. I never needed to contact Agoda's customer service for assistance until September 2026, during a family holiday in Santorini, Greece.
We booked a property that Agoda listed as 4 star (ZENITH BLUE TRADITIONAL HOUSES - AVOID AT ALL COST!), but when we arrived, it was in fact a dilapidated B&B. There was no reception, no staff, no facilities, just a filthy, disgusting apartment that looked nothing like what Agoda sold us.
Beyond the health hazards, think mould, mildew, rust, limescale, verdigris and flowing wastewater, it also presented serious safety risks.
We paid for a 2-bedroom apartment with a private hot tub, but we were given 2 small, completely separate rooms, each with its own entrance opening directly onto a public footpath. We were travelling with a child, so having him stay literally in a separate apartment on his own was unacceptable. The doors could also only be locked or unlocked with a key, whether from inside or outside, so we would either have to lock him in or have him lock himself up. 😱
To top it all off, the hot tub was nowhere near the apartment but in a random public area beside a busy footpath, completely disconnected from the rooms.
We contacted Agoda immediately with pictures clearly showing the discrepancies, but for 12 hours, we were tossed around between 4 incapable agents who gave nothing but useless template replies. After wasting our time, they finally said they won't provide any assistance and told us to book alternative accommodation at our own expense. 8 hours later, we were informed that we also wouldn't be getting our money back. 🤯
In what universe is it OK to take money for a service that wasn't delivered as described? In Agoda's universe, apparently, that's A(goda)-OK! 🙄
This completely ruined our holiday, and the most infuriating thing is that it could have been saved had Agoda simply done what they were supposed to do.
Please do not use their services and take your business elsewhere but if you've already fallen victim, do not let them take you for a ride.
They will stonewall you in an attempt to make you give up and tell you that they're just a middleman with no control over their partners. That is not true. They cannot completely absolve themselves of responsibility for facilitating a deceptive sale, so I encourage you to exercise your consumer rights and report them to the authorities!

If you want to book the hotel Alpina in Mürren (Jungfrau Region Switzerland), clicking on Agoda'link via tripadvisor it refers to another hotel Alpina, the Alpina in Kanderteg. Once booked, it shows the address of the Alpina in Mürren, despite it's now booked in Kanderteg. The town Kanderteg is a 2 1/2 hour train ride away from Mürren!! Very misleading and unprofessional!!!
A Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience with Priceline and Agoda — Buyer Beware!
My experience with Priceline and Agoda has been extremely frustrating, disappointing, and completely unacceptable. I would think twice before booking through either company again.
I booked two hotel reservations through Priceline, and the booking information indicated that breakfast was included. I made my reservations based on that advertised benefit and expected the companies involved to honor what was presented when I booked.
However, when my reservations were transferred to Agoda for handling, I discovered that the hotel’s system showed room-only bookings, with no breakfast included. Suddenly, a benefit clearly indicated in my original booking information had become my problem to resolve.
What followed was an exhausting series of back-and-forth communications with Agoda. Instead of promptly resolving the discrepancy and honoring the original booking terms, Agoda repeatedly suggested that I cancel my reservations. Why should I have to cancel my hotel bookings because of a discrepancy between the companies handling my reservation? I made my purchase based on the information presented to me. It should not be my responsibility to absorb the inconvenience and uncertainty created by a booking arrangement I had no control over.
After repeatedly insisting that Agoda honor the breakfast benefit represented in my original bookings, Agoda eventually offered a form of reimbursement. But there was another catch: I would have to pay for breakfast myself, submit the hotel's official receipts and supporting documentation, and then receive reimbursement in Agoda Cash that would expire after just six months.
Let that sink in. I was expected to pay out of pocket for something I believed was already included in my booking, navigate additional documentation and verification requirements, and accept restricted platform credit instead of an actual monetary refund.
Agoda Cash is not the same as getting my money back. I have no intention of booking through Agoda again after this experience. A credit that expires in six months and can only be used through a company I no longer wish to patronize has little practical value to me. Calling this a reimbursement does not make it a satisfactory resolution.
Ultimately, after all the emails, explanations, uncertainty, and wasted time, I had no reasonable choice but to cancel both reservations and pursue a direct booking with the hotel under a clearly stated arrangement that included breakfast.
The hotel, to its credit, worked with me to find a practical alternative. It is deeply disappointing that resolving this matter required so much effort on my part when the original booking information should have made the terms clear from the beginning.
My complaint is not simply about breakfast. It is about transparency, accountability, and honoring the expectations created when a customer makes a purchase. When two companies are involved in handling a reservation, customers should not be left caught between them, forced to chase answers, repeatedly defend what they booked, and accept an expiring store credit as the price of resolution.
I cannot speak for every customer's experience, but based on mine, I have lost confidence in the Priceline–Agoda booking arrangement. I would urge other travelers to read their booking confirmations carefully, save screenshots of every advertised benefit, and verify directly with the hotel that those benefits are actually recorded in its system before relying on them.
My advice to fellow travelers: proceed with extreme caution when booking through Priceline if your reservation will be handled by Agoda. Make sure every promised benefit is confirmed in writing, and understand exactly what you will receive if something goes wrong.
This experience has cost me far more than the inconvenience of arranging breakfast. It has cost these companies my trust and future business. That is a consequence entirely avoidable through clear communication, proper handling of reservations, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
I would not want another traveler to go through the same frustrating ordeal.

I would give Agoda zero stars if I could. My confirmed hotel reservation in Jasper, Canada, was canceled, and when I contacted customer service, I was told the cancellation email might be spam. I logged into my account, confirmed my reservation, and received no warning from the representative that my booking was actually canceled. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told I had no reservation. Agoda then promised to find alternative accommodations but failed to follow through, leaving me scrambling to find a place to stay in a town with virtually no availability. I was forced to book a room an hour away, costing me additional time, money, and unnecessary stress. The entire situation was completely avoidable if Agoda had provided accurate information and competent customer service.
What makes this experience even worse is Agoda’s failure to make things right afterward. I was told I would be reimbursed for the two nights, provided documentation as requested, and have repeatedly asked for the compensation I was promised . Yet here I am a month later, still chasing Agoda for a resolution to a problem their company created. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. A company that takes your money and confirms your reservation should be held accountable when it fails to provide the booking and then leaves the customer to deal with the consequences. I am extremely disappointed in Agoda and would strongly caution others against relying on this company for their travel accommodations.

If I could rate them -100 I would. First the booking was pending yet they took 1900 off my card. PENDING. So I called Agoda and the hotel. I have no booking. Do. Not. Use. This site or app. Just don’t. You will end up on the phone or app chat being passed around and asked to “wait for confirmation from a third party provider”. The booking magically changed to confirmed. I contacted the hotel again - nope no booking. I’ve asked for a full refund - I’m waiting. Not very hopeful. I contacted the hotel directly via phone and email got written confirmation I did not have a booking passed that to Agoda who proceeded to give me the run around “please wait for our third party provider”. They have until 10pm tonight to issue a full refund or I’ll be laying fraud charges. The amount of hassle and stress is just not worth it.

Agoda cancelled my booking after I had completed the stay
What makes this case especially disturbing is that Agoda cancelled the booking only after we had already completed our two-night stay and checked out.
The hotel had found us a room, accommodated us for both nights, and provided complimentary breakfast after communicating with Agoda. Agoda itself confirmed during our stay that the hotel had accommodated us and that there would be no additional charge. Yet, after the stay was completed, Agoda informed me that its “supplier” had cancelled the booking and issued a refund.
A completed hotel stay cannot meaningfully be “cancelled” afterward. This raises a serious question: why was the booking record reversed only after the service had already been provided?
Ironically, Agoda’s handling of this matter made me sympathize with the hotel. The hotel’s frontline employees dealt with the immediate crisis and provided the actual accommodation, while the much larger booking platform hid behind an unnamed “supplier,” rotating customer-service agents, and generic explanations. I cannot prove what pressure may have been placed on the hotel, but the sequence of events creates a legitimate concern that the smaller hotel may ultimately bear the cost of Agoda’s failure.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UPDATE — I am adding this after reading the response posted below by Moh, an Agoda representative, in reply to my review above.
Moh, thank you for your courteous response. You are, however, one of more than ten Agoda representatives who have communicated with me about this case. Courtesy has repeatedly been accompanied by changing representatives, repeated questions, and no answer to the central issue.
Agoda already located this booking, confirmed with the hotel that I stayed, confirmed the EUR 282.91 refund, and stated that the refund and AgodaCash did not constitute settlement or consent to close my complaint.
I did not request preferential treatment, although Agoda itself identifies me as a VIP/Diamond member at its highest customer tier. From the outset, I made clear that this is not about money.
The unanswered question remains: why did Agoda record a completed stay as cancelled after checkout, and on what documentary basis was this attributed to a “supplier”?
This review describes only part of the documented sequence. I have already provided Trustpilot with documentary evidence confirming the completed stay. Nevertheless, if Agoda considers any statement in this review inaccurate, please identify the precise statement and explain the claimed inaccuracy. I will correct any demonstrated factual error.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SECOND UPDATE — 23 October 2026
The hotel has now confirmed in writing that Agoda paid it the full accommodation charge. I therefore withdraw my earlier concern that the hotel might ultimately bear the financial cost.
But this confirmation makes Agoda’s conduct even harder to explain.
The hotel did not cancel the booking.
We completed the two-night stay.
The hotel informed Agoda that the cancellation was incorrect.
Agoda paid the hotel in full.
Why, then, did Agoda change the completed stay to “cancelled” after checkout and refund me without my request?
I have also reviewed the complete correspondence. The Agoda representatives identified by name were:
Yee
Saraj
Summer
Ezzat
Sherra
Louille
HuiEun
Shital
Elton
Jitendra
John
Ryan
There were also an unnamed Korean-speaking agent, “Agoda Customer Service,” a chatbot, AI-assisted emails and automated messages.
Twelve names passed through this case. Not one person took responsibility for it as a whole.
